Verviers-Central railway station

Ensival (Walloon: Enzivå) is a town of Wallonia and a district of the municipality of Verviers, located in the province of Liège, Belgium. Before the merging of the Belgian municipalities in 1977, it was a municipality of its own.

Verviers (French pronunciation: [vɛʁvje] (listen); Walloon: Vervî) is a city and municipality of Wallonia located in the province of Liège, Belgium. As a result, many fountains have been built in Verviers, leading it to be named Wallonia's "Water Capital". The seats of the two Walloon public institutions for water distribution and water treatment are located in the town.

Collège Saint-François-Xavier is a mixed Catholic secondary school in Verviers, Belgium. It was founded in 1855 by the Jesuits. It is located on Rue de Rome in the centre of the city. It is now known as SFX un. In 1984, the old Institut des Saint-Anges in the city centre became SFX deux.

On 15 January 2015, Belgian police carried out a raid on premises in Verviers, Belgium. According to news sources, the raids were an anti-terrorist operation against Islamist radicals.

Dison (French pronunciation: [dizɔ̃]; Walloon: Dizon) is a municipality of Wallonia located in the province of Liège, Belgium. On January 1, 2006, Dison had a total population of 14,243. The total area is 14.01 km2 which gives a population density of 1,017 inhabitants per km2. The municipality consists of the following districts: Andrimont and Dison.

Verviers-Theux Airfield (French: Aérodrome de Verviers-Theux, ICAO: EBTX) is a public use airport located 3 km (2 mi) east-northeast of Theux, Liège, Wallonia, Belgium.

Hall du Paire is a multi-purpose arena in Pepinster, Belgium. Hall du Paire holds 4,000 people and opened in 2006. It hosts the home games of the RBC Verviers-Pepinster professional basketball club.

The 1692 Verviers earthquake, also known as the 1692 Ardennes earthquake, occurred in the east of Belgium on 18 September 1692 measuring around 6.2 on the Richter scale. Parish records and historical accounts strongly indicate the earthquake's epicenter was northwest of Verviers, and the event was widely felt across Western Europe in Belgium, England, Germany, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, and France. The largest amount of damage occurred in the northwestern environs of Verviers, then part of the Prince-Bishopric of Liège. Researchers at the Royal Observatory of Belgium have considered this the strongest known earthquake in Western Europe north of the Alps, which occurred as part of a sequence of quakes from the Lower Rhine Graben in September 1692.

Pepinster (French pronunciation: ​[pepɛ̃stɛʁ] or [pəpɛ̃stɛʁ]) is a municipality of Wallonia located in the province of Liège, Belgium. On 1 January 2006 Pepinster had a total population of 9,560. The total area is 24.79 km2 which gives a population density of 386 inhabitants per km2. Pepinster is situated at the confluence of the rivers Hoëgne and Vesdre. The municipality consists of the following districts: Cornesse, Pepinster (including the hamlet of Tancrémont), Soiron, and Wegnez. Pepinster was hit extremely hard by the 2021 European floods, the village was temporarily cut off from roads.

The Hoëgne is a river in Belgium, a left tributary of the Vesdre. Its source is in the High Fens of eastern Belgium, near the Signal de Botrange. The Hoëgne flows through Theux, and ends in the Vesdre in Pepinster.

Thimister-Clermont (French pronunciation: [timistɛʁ klɛʁmɔ̃]; Walloon: Timister-Clairmont) is a municipality of Wallonia located in the province of Liège, Belgium. On January 1, 2006, Thimister-Clermont had a total population of 5,296. The total area is 28.69 km2 which gives a population density of 185 inhabitants per km2. The municipality consists of the following districts: Clermont-sur-Berwinne, and Thimister. Clermont-sur-Berwinne is a member of the Les Plus Beaux Villages de Wallonie ("The Most Beautiful Villages of Wallonia") association.

Theux (French pronunciation: ​[tø]; Walloon: Teu) is a municipality of Wallonia located in the province of Liège, Belgium. On 1 January 2006 the municipality had 11,571 inhabitants. The total area is 83.36 km², giving a population density of 139 inhabitants per km². The municipality consists of the following districts: La Reid, Polleur, and Theux (including the hamlet of Tancrémont).
