Hamilton Army Airfield

The Marin Museum of Contemporary Art (MarinMOCA) was founded in 2007 and is located in Novato, California, United States. The museum includes several galleries, over fifty artist studios, a classroom wing for studio art classes, and a museum store.

The 1910 Ignacio rail accident was a head-on train crash in Novato, California. It occurred at around 6:36 pm on August 8th, 1910, and left up to 16 dead and up to 30 injured.

The Hamilton Wetland Restoration Project, now known as the Hamilton/Bel Marin Keys Wetlands Restoration, is a wetlands habitat restoration project at the former Hamilton Air Force Base—Hamilton Army Airfield (1930−1988) site and adjacent Bel Marin Keys shoreline, in Marin County, California. It is located at Whiteside Marsh on the northwestern shore of San Pablo Bay, in and adjacent to the city of Novato in the North Bay region of the San Francisco Bay Area.

Bel Marin Keys is an unincorporated community in Marin County, California. It lies at an elevation of 10 feet (3 m).

Saint Vincent's School for Boys was founded as an orphanage in 1855 by the Daughters of Charity of Saint Vincent de Paul. It has been maintained and enlarged by subsequent bishops of San Francisco. It is now a licensed 52-bed Short Term Residential Therapy Program (STRTP) serving boys age 7 to 18, who are referred from county public health agencies and in-patient psychiatric hospitals throughout Northern California. It is located near the city of San Rafael in Marin County, California. It is one of the oldest institutions west of the Mississippi dedicated exclusively to therapeutic and compassionate care of traumatized boys, and was recognized as a California State Historical Landmark in 1958.The Saint Vincent Station, a nearby railroad stop on the Northwestern Pacific Railroad, was named after the school, as was the Saint Vincent post office that operated there from 1896 to 1922.

Ignacio (formerly Pacheco) is an unincorporated community in Marin County, California. It is located 3 miles (4.8 km) southeast of downtown Novato, at an elevation of 30 feet (9 m).Ignacio is a neighborhood located west of Bel Marin Keys, CA. According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), it is located at 38°04′13″N 122°32′19″W, placing it north of the interchange of U.S. Route 101 and Ignacio Boulevard, in Novato.

Miller Creek is a 7.6-mile-long (12.2 km) stream in eastern Marin County, California, United States. It originates on Big Rock Ridge and empties into San Pablo Bay east of Marinwood. A middle school called Miller Creek Middle School was named after the creek and is home to 6th, 7th, and 8th graders.

The Black Point Communications Annex was an antenna array and off-site radio communications annex located in Novato, California, 1.5 miles from Black Point, from which it gained its name. It is located 4 miles north of Hamilton Field, a position that was chosen due to its close proximity to a major air force hub. Due to the property having been privately owned, the federal government had to use eminent domain twice to acquire the land, first in 1939 and again in 1957 in order to expand the array. In 1952, both the Hamilton Air Force Base and the Black Point Communications Annex were declared "Permanent Installations" by the United States Air Force, but their usefulness had already begun to decline, and on January 11, 1976, the General Services Administration (GSA) was placed in charge. Eight years later, they sold the former Black Point Communication Annex to the State of California. Many of the buildings are still intact, such as an electrical power station, 2 transmitting building/control rooms, a generator room, and most of the antennae. Some of the other buildings that were built out of wood or corrugated steel are reduced to foundations. The land on which the array is located is overgrown, and visibly different from the fields and pastures that surround it.

Rafael Village (formerly, Rafael) is a former unincorporated community now incorporated in Novato in Marin County, California. It lies at an elevation of 49 feet (15 m).
