Jakes Island is an island in San Francisco Bay. It is in Marin County, California. Its coordinates are 38°00′47″N 122°29′20″W, and the United States Geological Survey gives its elevation as 52 ft (16 m). Egrets can be seen there.

Whiteside Marsh is a coastal estuary marsh and wetlands on the northwestern shore of San Pablo Bay in northern Marin County, California. It is in and adjacent to the city of Novato and the Bel Marin Keys community, in the North Bay region of the San Francisco Bay Area.

Saint Vincent's School for Boys was founded as an orphanage in 1855 by the Daughters of Charity of Saint Vincent de Paul. It has been maintained and enlarged by subsequent bishops of San Francisco. It is now a licensed 52-bed Short Term Residential Therapy Program (STRTP) serving boys age 7 to 18, who are referred from county public health agencies and in-patient psychiatric hospitals throughout Northern California. It is located near the city of San Rafael in Marin County, California. It is one of the oldest institutions west of the Mississippi dedicated exclusively to therapeutic and compassionate care of traumatized boys, and was recognized as a California State Historical Landmark in 1958.The Saint Vincent Station, a nearby railroad stop on the Northwestern Pacific Railroad, was named after the school, as was the Saint Vincent post office that operated there from 1896 to 1922.

Hamilton Field (Hamilton AFB) was a United States Air Force base, which was inactivated in 1973, decommissioned in 1974, and put into a caretaker status with the Air Force Reserves until 1976. It was transferred to the United States Army in 1983 and was designated an Army Airfield until its BRAC closure in 1988. The 1,514-acre (613 ha) park was established in 1976. A 75-acre (30 ha) district, including the shrimping village and a prehistoric shell midden, were added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979 for having state-level significance in archaeology, architecture, commerce, settlement, and social history. China Camp State Park, along with the Rush Ranch Open Space Preserve, is part of the San Francisco Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve.

Novato Hamilton station is a Sonoma–Marin Area Rail Transit station in Novato, California. It opened to preview service on June 29, 2017; full commuter service commenced on August 25, 2017. It is located on the south side of the city near Hamilton Parkway, from which the station takes its name. This was one of two stations planned for Novato in the Initial Operating Segment of SMART service; a third in Downtown Novato opened in December 2019.
