Welwyn Garden City Football Club is a football club based in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire. They currently play in the Southern League Division One Central.

Panshanger Aerodrome (ICAO: EGLG) was a former general aviation aerodrome located on the most eastern tip of Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, England, 2.5 NM (4.6 km; 2.9 mi) west of Hertford, East Hertfordshire.

Ridgeway Academy, formerly Sir Frederic Osborn School ("Sir Freds"), which itself was formed by the merging in 1968 of Attimore Hall School (secondary modern) and The High School (grammar school), is a secondary school in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, England. The school was built in the 1960s and is located in the Panshanger district of the town. In a 2015 Ofsted Report the school was rated "requires improvement" and received the same rating across all levels in a further inspection in 2017. The school was named after Sir Frederic Osborn, a pioneer of the garden city movement. From September 2018 the school became an academy sponsored by the Alban Academies Trust (AAT) and was renamed the Ridgeway Academy with a new school uniform, badge and vision.The school has a school council, where representatives from each year group attend regular meetings to decide what changes need to be made to school life to make the experience more beneficial to students and staff alike. These meetings are chaired by the Head Boy and Head Girl. A building programme over the past few years has given the school new science, technology and vocational education blocks, as well as dance and drama studios. The school has submitted and had a bid accepted to provide the school with a modern sports hall.

Tewin is an English village and civil parish in Hertfordshire, England between the towns of Welwyn Garden City, Stevenage, Welwyn (village) and the county town Hertford, it is within commuting distance of London. Tewin Wood is a very affluent residential area in Tewin and ranked amongst the most expensive streets in the UK with average property prices in most streets well in excess of £1.5 million. The population of Tewin Parish was 1,438 according to the 2001 census, increasing to 1,487 at the 2011 Census. Tewin village has a population of approximately half that of the whole parish, 720.

Wheathampstead Local Nature Reserve is a 5.9 hectare Local Nature Reserve (LNR) in Wheathampstead in Hertfordshire. It was declared an LNR by St Albans City Council in 2002, and is leased by Wheathampstead Parish Council from Hertfordshire County Council.The L shaped site borders football pitches. There is ash woodland, thorn scrub and mature hedgerows, together with an area of rough grassland. There are birds such as grass vetchling and bee orchid, birds including yellowhammer and whitethroat, and many butterflies.There is access from the Wheathampstead Development Centre and by a gate on the B651 south of Butterfield Road.

Weston Hills is a 17 hectare Local Nature Reserve in Baldock in North Hertfordshire. It is owned by Hertfordshire County Council and North Hertfordshire District Council (NHDC) and managed by NHDC.The site has grassland, woodland and mixed scrub. Six hectares is chalk grassland, and this is its most important ecological feature and one of the best examples in Hertfordshire; plants are very diverse because the harsh conditions do not allow vigorous species to become dominant. Plants include autumn gentian, clustered bellflower, harebell and six species of orchid. There are slowworms, common lizards and many species of butterfly. Some chalk quarries date back to the Roman period, and there are also ancient earthworks.There is access from Chiltern Road, Ivel Way and Limekiln Lane, and from the Icknield Way Path.

Tewin Orchard and Hopkyns Wood is a 4.3-hectare (11-acre) nature reserve in Tewin in Hertfordshire. It is managed by the Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust.Tewin Orchard is an eighty-year old fruit orchard donated to the trust by its last private owner, Molly Hopkyns. It has a variety of Hertfordshire apple varieties, including the Hitchin Pippin, which was propagated from the last known tree. The orchard attracts many birds, such as fieldfares and redwings. Hopkyns Wood is dominated by oaks and hornbeams, with ground flora of bluebells and ramsons. It also has a mature badger sett.There is access from a footpath from Orchard Road.

Digswell Arts Trust was the brainchild of Henry Morris, a pioneering educationalist. Through his enthusiasm, dedication and influence he persuaded the Government and the Welwyn Garden City Development Corporation to establish a Trust for professional artists in Welwyn Garden City, England. It was formally inaugurated by Countess Mountbatten on 29 May 1957.

Attimore Hall Halt was a halt station on the Great Northern Railway in Hertfordshire, England. The station was built near what is now the town of Welwyn Garden City, which would be established in 1920, after the station closed. It was on the Hertford and Welwyn Junction Railway.

Hatfield Hyde Halt was a halt-layout railway station. The station was part of the Hertford and Welwyn Junction Railway, near the garden city of Welwyn, which was established in 1920, by which time Hatfield Hyde Halt had long been closed.

Marden Hill is a Grade II* listed country house close to the village of Tewin, Hertfordshire.The house, originally Jacobean but substantially rebuilt in the 18th-century and modified in the 19th, is built in two storeys with attics of yellow brick with Portland stone dressings. The floor plan is square with five bays and a two-storey Ionic entrance porch at the front.

The White Horse is a grade II listed public house in Whitehorse Lane, Burnham Green, in the parish of Datchworth in Hertfordshire. The building dates from around the seventeenth century. It was formerly known as The Chequers.
