Kathleen MacDonald High School is a comprehensive, coeducational public high school in San Jose, California, United States. It is one of four high schools in the Santa Clara Unified School District (SCUSD). MacDonald is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges through the 2025–2026 school year.

Alder (formerly known as I-880/Milpitas) is a light rail station operated by Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA). This station is served by the Orange Line of the VTA Light Rail system. The station was opened on May 17, 2001, as part of VTA's Tasman East light rail extension.The station has a 275 space park and ride lot situated diagonally opposite from the platform. The entrance to the parking lot has a large public art installation, a clocktower called "Gateway to the City of Milpitas."

The University of Silicon Valley (USV) is a private university in San Jose, California, in Silicon Valley. Founded in 1887 as Cogswell Polytechnical College, the first technical training institution in the West, the school is one of only two private universities, along with Stanford University, that are guaranteed a tax exemption in the Californian Constitution. California Science and Technology University (CSTU) was founded in 2011 in Silicon Valley to provide postgraduate education.CSTU offers Master's degree programs in Computer Systems and Engineering (MSCSE), Business Administration (MBA), and the Emerging Technology Training (ETTP) programs. CSTU's curriculum focuses on the latest technologies of Silicon Valley, such as Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, as stated in the CSTU's website. CSTU is seeking to be accredited by Accrediting Commission of Careers Schools and Colleges (ACCSC). To comply with ACCSC's requirements, all CSTU teaching faculty not only have adequate academic training, also have at least four-year industrial experience.CSTU is licensed to operate by the California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE) in April, 2016. The MSCSE, MBA and ETTP programs are offered online and onsite. CSTU is located at Milpitas, California. CSTU's has a very convenient class schedule which can fit the needs of working professionals. Most classes are offered in evenings and weekends. CSTU's ETTP program is also approved by Employment Development Department, California, which can provides the tuition for the professionals who lose their jobs and need training for new jobs.

Baypointe is an at-grade light rail station located in the center median of Tasman Drive at its intersection with Baypointe Parkway, after which the station is named, in San Jose, California. The station is owned by Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) and is served by the Blue Line and the Orange Line of the VTA light rail system. Baypointe station is the current northern terminus for the Blue Line. Baypointe station is differentiated from other VTA light rail stations as it features three tracks and two island platforms. Blue Line trains stop and reverse direction on the center track, while Orange Line trains use the two outer tracks. Passengers can make a cross platform transfer with either line in any direction.

The Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) is an international living history group with the aim of studying and recreating mainly Medieval European cultures and their histories before the 17th century. The James Lick Mansion, in Santa Clara, California, is the estate of James Lick, who was the richest man in California at the time of his death in 1876. The estate is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This property was once part of the Rancho Ulistac land grant, a square league reaching from the Alviso shoreline southward and encompassing all the land between the Guadalupe River and Saratoga Creek.

With $136 million in revenue in 2019, it is the largest food bank in the San Francisco Bay Area and the 12th largest in the United States. As of 2020, it serves about 500,000 people on average per month. It is affiliated with Feeding America, a national network of food banks, as well as the California Association of Food Banks.
