University Hospital Augsburg (Universitätsklinikum Augsburg) is with about 1,750 beds one of the largest medical centers in Germany located in Augsburg. It is a teaching hospital of the Universität Augsburg and the only hospital of maximal care in Swabia (Bavaria). The hospital has two locations in Augsburg. The location in the Stenglinstraße (Kriegshaber) and the location in the Sauerbruchstraße (Haunstetten).The University Hospital Augsburg comprises a total of 23 clinics and three institutes, as well as other medical treatment areas and centers. More than 6,000 employees, including around 900 doctors and around 2,500 nurses, work for the health of patients. On January 1, 2019, the municipal enterprise Klinikum Augsburg became the University Hospital Augsburg in the sponsorship of the State of Bavaria. Since that moment, the hospital serves the education of students of the medical faculty of the University of Augsburg. Until then, it was an academic teaching hospital of the Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich.

Bärenkeller is one of the seventeen highest level civic divisions, or Planungsräume (Singular: Planungsraum, English: planning district), of the city of Augsburg, Bavaria, Germany. It is located in the northwestern portion of the city and consists of only one Stadtbezirk, or ward, 23 Bärenkeller, with which it is coterminous. As of January 1, 2006, 7,360 people reside in Bärenkeller, which has an area of 2.99 km2 (1.15 mi2).

Gersthofen (German pronunciation: [ɡɛʁstˈhoːfn̩] (listen)) is a town in the district of Augsburg, in Bavaria, Germany. It is situated on the west bank of the river Lech, approx. 7 km (4.35 mi) north of Augsburg. Gersthofen is divided into five districts (German: Stadtteile): Batzenhofen, Edenbergen (with Gailenbach and Gailenbacher Mühle), Gersthofen, Hirblingen, and Rettenbergen (with Peterhof).

Augsburg-Land is an electoral constituency (German: Wahlkreis) represented in the Bundestag. It elects one member via first-past-the-post voting. Under the current constituency numbering system, it is designated as constituency 252. It is located in southwestern Bavaria, comprising most of the Landkreis Augsburg and Aichach-Friedberg districts. Augsburg-Land was created for the inaugural 1949 federal election. Since 2013, it has been represented by Hansjörg Durz of the Christian Social Union (CSU).

Kulturhaus Abraxas is a cultural institution of the city of Augsburg. Here, Abraxas is a backronym for Atrium, Bühne, Restaurant, Ateliers, experimentelle Musik in Augsburg an der Sommestraße. The Reese Barracks was formerly owned by the US forces and became property of the Federal Property Administration. The city of Augsburg rented it in 1995 from the Army and used the former Offizierskasino of the Somme Barracks region as a 'Family Recreation Center', building a cultural center with a 150-seat theater, an exhibition hall, studios, music practice rooms, and a restaurant. Since January 1996, the cultural center's program has mainly featured music, especially jazz, and also theater, demonstrations, and exhibitions. Since February 1998, the Federal Association of Visual Artists has also been located in the office of Abraxas and uses the exhibition hall. The yearly Lab.30 media art festival takes place at Abraxas.

Augsburg-Oberhausen station is a station in the northwest of the central Augsburg in the suburb of Oberhausen in the German state of Bavaria. It is the second most important station in the city. It is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 4 station. The current station building was built south of the old Oberhauser station in 1931/32, in the New Objectivity style. There is a large tram and bus stop in front of the station building, the exterior of which has recently been renovated.

Located in the northwestern portion of the city, it is home to 23,510 residents as of January 1, 2006, making it one of the larger planning districts in terms of population. Contained within Oberhausen are five Stadtbezirke (English: ward, singular Stadtbezirk.) The second largest river in Augsburg, the Wertach, flows through Oberhausen.

Pfersee is a part of the city of Augsburg, Bavaria with some 25.000 inhabitants on the western shore of river Wertach. In 1911 Pfersee was incorporated to Augsburg. The name Pfersee probably derives from “fert” (Furt), meaning a ford (crossing). Pfersee is first mentioned in 8th century, but there also are important archeological findings such as a brazen horse-head which was part of an equestrian statue, probably dedicated to emperor Hadrian. From 1560 until 1875 in Pfersee there was a noted Jewish community with a number of renowned chairmen, rabbis and scholars, mainly from the Ulmo (Ginsburg) family, who until the beginning of the 19th century was in possession of the so-called “Pfersee manuscript”, the oldest almost complete surviving handwritten edition of the Babylonian Talmud, dated from 14th century, which now is at the Bavarian State Library in Munich. in 1627 the Jewish community of Pfersee along with the neighboring Jewish communities of Steppach and Kriegshaber established a common Jewish cemetery, today usually attributed to Kriegshaber, which became part of Augsburg in 1916 as well.
