Meols railway station

Meols (sometimes known as Great Meols) is a suburb in the Metropolitan Borough of Wirral in Merseyside, England. It forms a contiguous built up area with the nearby town of Hoylake which lies to the west. Historically in Cheshire, since 1 April 1974 it has been part of the Metropolitan Borough of Wirral, in Merseyside. The 2001 census recorded the population of Meols as 5,110. In the 2011 census specific population figures for Meols were not available. The total population of the Hoylake and Meols local government ward was 13,348.

Meols Park and Recreation Ground is located in Meols on the Wirral Peninsula, England. The park consists of a small playground area and a larger grassed area, with an area for playing football. The park is situated on School Lane and is bordered by Mumfords Lane, Greenwood Road and Dovepoint Road. The park is also near to the North Wirral Coastal Park. There is a community group, known as the Friends of Meols Park, formed in 2007 whose aim was to refurbish and look after the development of the park.

Kingsmead School was a co-educational private day school for boys and girls aged 2 to 16 and, from 2018 until its closure, offered a sixth form for students up to age 18. The school is located in Hoylake, on the Wirral Peninsula. The school was founded in 1904 by Arthur Watts, a Baptist minister and mathematician. In 1911 the school motto was selected, "Dominus Vitae Robur" – The Lord is the Strength of my Life. Kingsmead is a member of the Independent Association of Preparatory Schools (IAPS). It was closed in 2020. In 2023, the Kingsmead Trust announced that they were partnering with the Oasis Charitable Trust to reopen the school site under the name "Oasis Kingsmead".

Manor Road railway station is a station in Merseyside, England that serves the towns of Hoylake and Meols. It is located on the West Kirby branch of the Wirral Line, part of the Merseyrail network.

Ellerman Lines Cricket Ground was a cricket ground at the end of Carr Lane in Hoylake, Cheshire, now in Merseyside. The ground was surrounded by countryside on at least three sides, with the houses in George Road along the western flank of the ground built at some point during the period when the ground was in use. The cricket ground has been disused for approximately forty years.

Hoylake Parade Community Centre is a multi-purpose public building located in Hoylake, Wirral, which serves as a community centre for the local area.

Town Meadow is a proposed railway station to serve the west of Moreton near Meols in the Wirral, England. The station would be situated on the West Kirby branch of the Wirral Line. The planned station forms part of the wider Local Transport Plan for Merseyside and is included on page 139 of the 2011–2015 document among other proposed stations at Carr Mill, Beechwood, Woodchurch and Deeside.Merseytravel found in a survey carried out in 2010 that support for the station was high. The proposed station would serve existing and new developments in Moreton. The Under-Secretary of State for Transport, Paul Maynard MP, visited the site in April 2017 with local councillors, to back calls for the building of the station. It was revealed that Merseytravel already own the land, but neither they nor Wirral Council had applied for a grant from the government's New Stations Fund. Merseytravel defended their decision, claiming that their plans for the station were not sufficiently advanced to bid for funding. The October 2017 Liverpool City Region Combined Authority update to the Long Term Rail Strategy mentions that station as being built between Network Rail Control Periods CP5 and CP7.The land for the station has been reserved by the Metropolitan Borough of Wirral's local planning authority, which considers the station to be justified by the size of the catchment population.

Hoylake Lifeboat Station is located on the North Parade promenade in the town of Hoylake on the Wirral Peninsula in Merseyside. A lifeboat was first stationed at Hoylake by the Liverpool Dock Trustees in 1803. The station was transferred to the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) in 1894. Holy Trinity Church was an Anglican church in the seaside town of Hoylake, Wirral, England, until its demolition in 1976. It was consecrated on 1 November 1833, and in 1860 it became the Parish Church of Hoose, Little Hoose and Great Hoose. During its lifetime, two daughter churches were built, the nearby St Hildeburgh's, which is now used as the parish church for Hoylake, and St John's, now the parish church for Meols. Well-known former choristers include, Heather Slade-Lipkin - harpsichordist, Pete Price - local radio presenter and DJ, and David Hale - judge.

Newton Brook is a tributary of Greasby Brook, in Wirral, Merseyside. The brook starts as two branches, one of which is in the same system of lowland field drainage, south of Hoylake, as the Birket. The other branch begins in Caldy. The two branches join just to the west of Larton. Newton Brook then joins with Greasby Brook, to the north-east of Larton and north of Frankby. Greasby Brook then merges with Arrowe Brook, which, in turn, merges with the Birket. The Birket discharges into the West Float at the site of the former Wallasey Pool. Newton Brook is about 2 miles (3.2 km) long.

Hilbre High School is a co-educational secondary school and sixth form with academy status located in Newton, a suburb of West Kirby on the Wirral Peninsula, England. It is named after the small Hilbre Islands archipelago in the nearby Local Nature Reserve of the same name. The school has a drama studio theatre and many other drama classrooms funded by the school's specialist Humanities College status. This facility includes a lighting and sound booth which can be used as a recording studio. The school also has a sixth form block. Hilbre High School also has a music block, commonly known to pupils as A block, the main building, and D block.
