The Château de Bagnolet was a château situated in the Paris suburb of Bagnolet, France, 5.2 km from the center of the capital. The property was part of the biens de la Maison d'Orléans, private property of the House of Orléans from 1719 till 1769.

DRSD is the abbreviation of Direction du Renseignement et de la Sécurité de la Défense, a French security agency which is part of the Ministry of Defence. Before 2016, it was called DPSD for Direction de la Protection et de la Sécurité de la Défense. DRSD (at that time DPSD) succeeded the former military security agency in 1981. The General Directorate for External Security (French: Direction générale de la sécurité extérieure, DGSE) is France's foreign intelligence agency, equivalent to the British MI6 and the American CIA. The DGSE safeguards French national security through intelligence gathering and conducting paramilitary and counterintelligence operations abroad, as well as economic espionage. It is headquartered in the 20th arrondissement of Paris.The DGSE operates under the direction of the French Ministry of Armed Forces and works alongside its domestic counterpart, the DGSI (General Directorate for Internal Security). As with most other intelligence agencies, details of its operations and organization are highly classified and not made public.

Saint-Fargeau (French pronunciation: ​[sɛ̃ faʁʒo]) is a station of the Paris Métro, serving Line 3bis. The station owes its name to its location under Place Saint-Fargeau, which was named after the politician Louis-Michel Lepeletier de Saint-Fargeau (1760-1793) who had participated in the French Revolution and was assassinated in 1793, allegedly for voting for the execution of Louis XVI.

The Piscine des Tourelles, sometimes listed as Le stade nautique des Tourelles, is an aquatics venue that was used to host the diving, swimming, water polo, and the swimming portion of the modern pentathlon events for the 1924 Summer Olympics. Located in the 20th arrondissement of Paris, it hosted eleven swimming, diving, and one water polo during those games. Attendance at the games totaled 51,000 for all eight event days.In 1989, it underwent extensive renovation, and reopened as the Piscine Georges Vallerey, although it is still widely known by its old name. The renovated pool is 50 meters in length but can be divided into two unequal parts by an underwater partition. A retractable roof was also installed as part of the renovation, allowing sunbathing when the weather is fine.

Mairie des Lilas (French pronunciation: ​[mɛʁi de lilɑ]) is a station of the Paris Métro in the commune of Les Lilas and serves as the northern terminus of line 11. It is named after the town hall of Les Lilas. A small underground depot is located near the station to service the trains of line 11. The station is sometimes believed to be the subject of the Serge Gainsbourg song "Le Poinçonneur des Lilas", about a Métro ticket inspector, although the promotional film for it was filmed at the Porte des Lilas.

The Charonne quarter is an area of the 20th arrondissement of Paris named after a former municipality in the area, which was merged into the city of Paris in 1860 by Napoleon III and split between Charonne quarter (south part), the Père-Lachaise quarter and Saint-Fargeau quarter (north part). The historic centre of Charonne is located around the junction of Rue de Bagnolet and Rue Saint-Blaise, in the vicinity of the parish church of Saint-Germain-de-Charonne (which is on the Père-Lachaise quarter). The metro station called Charonne, notable for the demonstration of 8 February 1962, is named after a street in the 11th arrondissement – Rue de Charonne, in the Bastille neighbourhood – and is not actually located in the district of Charonne, which covers the southern half of the 20th arrondissement.

The Saint-Germain de Charonne church is a religious building and operational parish church located at 4, place Saint-Blaise in the Père-Lachaise district on the edge of the Charonne district in the 20th arrondissement of Paris.
