Les Lilas (French pronunciation: [le lila] (listen)) is a commune in the northern-eastern suburbs of Paris, France. It is located 5.7 km (3.5 mi) from the centre of Paris.

The Cimetière parisien de Pantin (sometimes known as cimetière parisien de Pantin-Bobigny) is one of the three Parisien cemeteries extra muros, located in the commune of Pantin which is in Seine-Saint-Denis, Île-de-France.

Fort de Romainville, (in English, Fort Romainville) was built in France in the 1830s and was used as a Nazi concentration camp in World War II.

Porte des Lilas (French pronunciation: ​[pɔʁt de lilɑ]) is a station of the Paris Métro. It serves line 11 and is the northern terminus of line 3bis. Located on the edge of the 19th and 20th arrondissements of Paris, it serves the neighborhood of the Porte des Lilas. The station is named after the nearby Porte des Lilas, a gate in the nineteenth century Thiers Wall of Paris, which led to the town of Les Lilas. The station was referred to in Serge Gainsbourg's famous 1958 chanson "Le poinçonneur des Lilas" about the ennui of a Métro employee's workday. A Scopitone music video for the song was filmed in Porte des Lilas, showing the singer in a Métro uniform, punching tickets.Until January 2021 when line 14 was extended to Porte de Clichy, it was the only station at one of the gates of Paris to be served by two separate métro lines (it was served only by line 13 previously).

Bagnolet (French pronunciation: [baɲɔlɛ] (listen)) is a commune in the eastern suburbs of Paris, France. It is located 5.2 km (3.2 mi) from the center of Paris. Its inhabitants are called Bagnoletais.

The General Directorate for External Security (French: Direction générale de la sécurité extérieure, DGSE) is France's foreign intelligence agency, equivalent to the British MI6 and the American CIA. The DGSE safeguards French national security through intelligence gathering and conducting paramilitary and counterintelligence operations abroad, as well as economic espionage. It is headquartered in the 20th arrondissement of Paris.The DGSE operates under the direction of the French Ministry of Armed Forces and works alongside its domestic counterpart, the DGSI (General Directorate for Internal Security). The Piscine des Tourelles, sometimes listed as Le stade nautique des Tourelles, is an aquatics venue that was used to host the diving, swimming, water polo, and the swimming portion of the modern pentathlon events for the 1924 Summer Olympics. Located in the 20th arrondissement of Paris, it hosted eleven swimming, diving, and one water polo during those games. Attendance at the games totaled 51,000 for all eight event days.In 1989, it underwent extensive renovation, and reopened as the Piscine Georges Vallerey, although it is still widely known by its old name. The renovated pool is 50 meters in length but can be divided into two unequal parts by an underwater partition. A retractable roof was also installed as part of the renovation, allowing sunbathing when the weather is fine.

Serge Gainsbourg (French pronunciation: [sɛʁʒ ɡɛ̃zbuʁ] (listen)) is a future station on line 11 of the Paris Métro. The station is located at place Henri-Dunant at Les Lilas and slated to open in 2024.

The Château de Bagnolet was a château situated in the Paris suburb of Bagnolet, France, 5.2 km from the center of the capital. The property was part of the biens de la Maison d'Orléans, private property of the House of Orléans from 1719 till 1769.
