Bishop John C. Kilgo House is a historic home located at Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. It was built in 1915, and is a two-story, three bay, frame dwelling with Colonial Revival and Bungalow / American Craftsman design elements. It has a hipped roof, cubic main block with a later, 1950s rear, two-story, two-bay, gable-roofed addition. The front facade features a center bay, one-story entry porch with Tuscan order columns. It was built for Bishop John C. Kilgo (1861–1922), bishop of the Methodist Episcopal Church, South.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.

Victoria is a historic home located at Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. It was built about 1895, and is a two-story, "T"-shaped, Queen Anne style dwelling. It has a slate roof and features a 2+1⁄2-story, engaged, tower with a conical roof. It was moved from the corner of Tryon and Seventh Streets to its present location about 1895.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

Hawthorne Academy of Health Sciences is a high school in the Belmont community of Charlotte, North Carolina. The school existed in many forms before becoming CMS’s first medical magnet program designed for a student capacity of 600–800. Midwood High School is a non-traditional high school in its namesake neighborhood of Charlotte, North Carolina. The school acts as a transition program for ninth graders who struggled to meet benchmarks in eighth grade into a high school environment.

Plaza-Midwood is a neighborhood located approximately one mile to the northeast of Uptown in Charlotte, North Carolina. The neighborhood is roughly bound by Hawthorne Lane to the west, The Plaza to the north, Briar Creek Road and the Charlotte Country Club to the east and Central Avenue to the south.Locally known as one of Charlotte's most diverse and eclectic neighborhoods, it is filled with art galleries, funky stores, and restaurants. Louise Cotton Mill is a historic textile mill located at Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. The original section was built in 1897, and is a two-story, 27 bay long, rectangular brick building. The original section has segmental-arched windows and a low-pitched gable roof had a monitor with clerestory windows. It was enlarged in 1901 by two one-story sections to form a "U"-shaped building with a courtyard.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2013.

The 108th Training Command (Initial Entry Training) is a United States Army Reserve unit headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina. At its activation, the unit was designated as the 108th Airborne Division, but in 1952 was redesignated the 108th Infantry Division. In 1956, the division was again reorganized, this time to the designation as the 108th Division (Institutional Training). Under the U.S. Army Reserve Transformation of 2005, the 108th was reorganized to is current structure as the 108th Training Command (Initial Entry Training (IET)). The command is currently one of the largest in the Army Reserve, commanding and coordinating 9,000 soldiers. The 108th Training Command (IET) is a subordinate unit in the United States Army Reserve (USAR) which is a federal reserve force of the United States Army. Together, the USAR and the Army National Guard (ARNG) constitute the Reserve Components (RC) of the United States Army. Over its 75-year history, the 108th Division frequently has been called upon to pilot several new missions for the Army and Army Reserve. Over the years, the division has played an important role in pioneering and developing several training methods and policies still in use today.

The Thirsty Beaver is a bar (sometimes referred to as a dive bar) surrounded by an apartment complex, in Charlotte, North Carolina, United States. The establishment was started in a one-story building by two brothers in 2008. When established, the property was surrounded by vacant lots but in 2015, a development company purchased all of the land surrounding the bar. When the owners of the bar's land and building held out against two offers from a developer, the development company built apartments in a horseshoe shape around the bar.

Carolina Actors Studio Theatre (CAST) was an independent non-profit theatre company located at 2424 North Davidson Street in Charlotte, North Carolina. It was founded in 1992 by Charlotte acting instructor Ed Gilweit as an actor's teaching school. In 2000 Gilweit's company partnered with a video and stage production company run by Michael Simmons called Victory Pictures, Inc., and then with the fledgling theatre group Another Roadside Performance Company run by Robert Lee Simmons, Michael Simmons' son. Through this series of mergers, Gilweit and the Simmons' became the founders of the Carolina Actors Studio Theatre. After Gilweit's death in 2002, Michael Simmons became the Managing Artistic Director. CAST was noted for large-scale installations and elaborate sets with the goal of complete immersion of the audience in the reality of each play. CAST always sought to obliterate the emotional distance between the actor and spectator, a technique they called "experiential theatre". When attending a CAST performance, the experience of the spectator began from the moment they entered—or even approached—the theater.

Charlotte Christian College and Theological Seminary (formerly New Life Theological Seminary) is a private evangelical Christian college and seminary in Charlotte, North Carolina. It was established in 1996 by Eddie G. Grigg, a pastor, educator, and theologian. The institution was approved as a degree-granting institution in 1997, granted candidate for accreditation status in 2003, and was fully accredited in 2008.

Sunnyside Avenue is a streetcar station in Charlotte, North Carolina. The at-grade island platform on Hawthorne Lane is the eastern terminus of the CityLynx Gold Line and serves the Elizabeth neighborhood.

25th Street is a light rail station on the LYNX Blue Line in the Optimist Park neighborhood of Charlotte, North Carolina, United States. It opened on March 16, 2018, as part of the Blue Line extension to the UNC Charlotte campus. The station features an island platform and is located in Optimist Park.
