Jesuit High School is a private, non-profit, Catholic college-preparatory high school (grades 8–12) for boys run by the USA Central and Southern Province of the Society of Jesus in Mid-City New Orleans, Louisiana. The school was founded in 1847 by the Jesuits as the College of the Immaculate Conception before taking on its current name in 1911, and serves students of all religious faiths.

Angelo Brocato's Italian Ice Cream Parlor (often called Brocato's) is a family-owned ice cream parlor located in the Mid-City neighborhood of New Orleans, Louisiana. Founded in 1905, it is regarded as a New Orleans institution. Severely damaged by flooding after Hurricane Katrina, its 2006 reopening was reported as a significant advance in the rebuilding of the Mid-City area.

Mid-City is a neighborhood of the city of New Orleans. A sub-district of the Mid-City District Area, its boundaries as defined by the New Orleans City Planning Commission are: City Park Avenue, Toulouse Street, North Carrollton, Orleans Avenue, Bayou St. John and St. Louis Street to the north, North Broad Street to the east, and the Pontchartrain Expressway to the west. It is a historic district on the National Register of Historic Places. In common usage, a somewhat larger area surrounding these borders is often also referred to as part of Mid-City.

Athletic Park was a sports stadium in New Orleans, Louisiana which opened in 1901. Some sources say the ballpark was located on the south side of Tulane Avenue between South Carrollton Avenue and South Pierce Street. The Sanborn map from 1908 shows the actual boundaries as Tulane Avenue (northeast, right field), Scott Street (southeast, first base), the proposed Gravier Street extension, and then railroad tracks and the canal (southwest, third base); and the proposed Pierce Street extension (northwest, overlapping left field). Carrolton Avenue was a block west of Pierce. When the Pelicans moved a few blocks up the street to Pelican Park, this site was replaced by an amusement park called White City. The Pelicans would move back to this area a few years later and build a new facility called Heinemann Park. It was home to the New Orleans Pelicans baseball organization from 1901 to 1908. It was also home to the Tulane Green Wave football team from 1901 to 1908.It was the spring training home of the Cleveland Indians from 1902 to 1903.

Pelican Stadium, originally known as Heinemann Park (1915–1937), was a sports stadium in New Orleans, Louisiana from 1915 to 1957.

Success Preparatory Academy is a charter school in New Orleans, Louisiana. It serves students from Kindergarten through the 8th grade. Success Prep was founded in 2009. It was co-founded by St. Claire Adriaan and Niloy Gangopadhyay. Adriaan left to join IDEA Public Schools in Texas in 2013.Success Preparatory Academy previous home had building issues and the school used partitions to divide classrooms. As of 2018, the school has moved into a new home at the Thurgood Marshall building, approximately two miles from the previous site.It has been rated a C school for 2017–2018.

The Jefferson Davis Monument, also known as the Jefferson Davis Memorial, was an outdoor sculpture and memorial to Jefferson Davis, installed at Jeff Davis Parkway and Canal Street in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States from 1911 to 2017.

The Xavier University Main Building, Convent and Library are three late Gothic Revival architecture style buildings on the campus of Xavier University of Louisiana in New Orleans, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The buildings are a three-story main building built in 1932, a 2+1⁄2-story convent built in 1932, and a two-story library built in 1937.

Lindy Boggs Medical Center, formerly known as Mercy Hospital and also known as Lindy Boggs Hospital, is a now-abandoned 187-bed acute care hospital operated by Tenet Healthcare located in Mid-City New Orleans, Louisiana. The hospital provided many services, including emergency care, critical care, and organ transplantation services.

Xavier University of Louisiana (also known as XULA) is a private, historically black (HBCU), Catholic university in New Orleans, Louisiana. It is the only Catholic HBCU and, upon the canonization of Katharine Drexel in 2000, became the first Catholic university founded by a saint.

The Lafitte Greenway is a trail for pedestrians and bicycles located in New Orleans, Louisiana, extending from Louis Armstrong Park to Bayou St. John and beyond. Opened in 2015, it is the latest reconfiguration of a historic transportation corridor that has been in use for over two centuries.

The Parkview Historic District in New Orleans, Louisiana is a 263-acre (106 ha) historic district that was listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) in 1995.The district included 1,349 buildings, 92 percent of which were deemed to be contributing buildings. It includes the General Laundry Building and the Jean Marie Saux Building which are separately listed on the NRHP.
