Cottageville is an unincorporated community located within South Brunswick Township in Middlesex County, New Jersey, United States. The settlement is located along Davidson Mill Road (formerly named Cottageville Road) at the former Newark–Trenton Fast Line right-of-way, now a PSE&G transmission line corridor. The trolley stop at the settlement allowed for summer cottages to be built in the area leading to the area's name. Today, some of the older homes remain in addition to a summer camp, forest land, and PSE&G's Deans substation.

The North Brunswick Township Public Schools is a comprehensive community public school district that serve students in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade from North Brunswick, in Middlesex County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2019–20 school year, the district, comprised of six schools, had an enrollment of 6,096 students and 530.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.5:1.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "FG", the fourth-highest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.

North Brunswick is a proposed railroad station along the Northeast Corridor (NEC) in North Brunswick, New Jersey, that will be built by New Jersey Transit Rail Operations (NJT) to serve its Northeast Corridor Line. Approved in 2013, it was planned to open in 2018 and projected to cost $30 million. It is one of several projects along the "New Jersey Speedway" section of the NEC. The station was proposed for the former Johnson & Johnson facility on Route 1 and Aaron Road by the new owners of the 212-acre (86 ha) site, and is part of a transit-oriented development known as Main Street North Brunswick. New Jersey Transit's Fiscal 2015 capital budget allocated funding for the station. As of mid-2017, construction of the project had not begun. In October 2017, it was announced the project had received $50 million from the Transportation Trust Fund. In October 2019, NJT and Middlesex County had committed $70 million to start work on the station. In 2021 the County Improvement Authority hired WSP USA to design the station.

North Brunswick is a township in Middlesex County, New Jersey, United States. It is centrally located in the Raritan Valley region within the New York Metropolitan area. At the 2020 United States Census, the population was 43,905, reflecting an increase of (+7.5%) from the 40,742 counted in the 2010 Census, which had in turn increased by 3,455 (+12.3%) from the 36,287 counted in the 2000 Census. Located south of the city of New Brunswick, North Brunswick was named for its earlier-established neighbor, South Brunswick, New Jersey. The "Brunswick" comes from New Brunswick, which was named after the German city of Braunschweig (formerly translated in English as Brunswick) or for the British royal House of Brunswick. North and South Brunswick, in turn, became the namesakes for East Brunswick. Alternatively, the city gets its name from King George II of Great Britain, the Duke of Brunswick-Lüneburg.

North Brunswick Township High School (NBTHS) is a four-year comprehensive public high school located in North Brunswick, in Middlesex County, New Jersey, United States, serving students in ninth through twelfth grades as the lone secondary school of the North Brunswick Township Public Schools. The school is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools.North Brunswick had sent students to New Brunswick High School until it completed a high school of its own in 1973 that was constructed at a cost of $10 million and that had been opened to the district's students in grades seven through nine. The New Brunswick Public Schools sought to prevent the shift of 280 students who would have attended high school in New Brunswick from attending the new facility, arguing that the withdrawal of the almost entirely white students from North Brunswick and Milltown would leave the New Brunswick school with an overwhelmingly black student body.

Floral Park Cemetery is a Jewish cemetery in South Brunswick, New Jersey, where many prominent Hassidic Rabbis are buried, including Rabbi Shlomo Halberstam and Rabbi Naftali Halberstam of Bobov, Rabbi Hershele Horowitz of Spinka, Rabbi Yechezkel Shraga Mertz, Rabbi Avigdor of Tchenstchoiv, Rabbi Pinchos Shalom Rottenberg and his son Rabbi Menachem Yisroel Rottenberg of the Kosson, Rabbi Menachem Shlomo Taub of Kaliv, Rabbi Shalom Krausz Udvary Rov. Rabbi Moses Josef Rubin of Cimpulung and Rabbi Yitzchok Issac Langner the Stretiner Rebbe of New York City. The cemetery contains many holocaust survivors including Yecheskel (Chaskel) Steuer, Meir (Max) Miller, Gisella (Roth) Green, Irving (Israel) Green, Ruchma Lesser & sister Rivka Gutter, Beatrice Roth, Jerry Hans, and many others from countries such as Poland, Hungary and Germany. One of the many societies represented is the first Wodzislaw Society. This was a society of holocaust survivors from Poland. Wodzislaw was one of many small villages in Poland. The society met once a month in New York City. Across the street from the Floral Park Cemetery is the Washington Cemetery. Washington Cemetery is a separate cemetery from the Floral Park Cemetery, but both are under the same management. Many of the prominent Rabbis said to be buried in Floral Park Cemetery are actually buried in Washington Cemetery.

Pigeon Swamp State Park is a 1,078-acre (4.36 km2) New Jersey state park located on Deans Rhode Hall Road (Middlesex CR-610) in South Brunswick, in Middlesex County, New Jersey, United States. It is an undeveloped park, with a mix of habitats including open ponds and uplands hardwood forests. It also includes a good example of an inner coastal plain lowland deciduous hardwood forest. At one time, it was a major nesting site for passenger pigeons before they became extinct. It was declared a National Natural Landmark in December 1976.The park is located in the Lawrence Brook watershed.

Farrington Lake is a scenic freshwater reservoir in Middlesex County, New Jersey near Milltown, New Jersey. Created by a dam on the Lawrence Brook, a tributary of the Raritan River, the lake is in fact a widened section of the Lawrence Brook. Its main tributaries are the Ireland Brook, the Beaverdam Brook, and the Oakeys Brook. The lake is named after Edward Farrington, mayor of New Brunswick, New Jersey, in 1915–1918, who envisioned the construction of the dam to supply water to his city. Mayor Farrington died while in office, in 1918. The lake is bordered by East Brunswick, North Brunswick and South Brunswick. It covers about 1.17 km² (290 acres) and has a mean depth of 2 meters (6 ft) with a maximum depth of 4 meters (12 ft). The lake is accessible from a boat ramp; the only powered boats allowed are those with an electric motor. Fish species in the lake include Chain Pickerel, Channel Catfish, Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike, Crappie, Brown Trout, Yellow Perch and Rainbow Trout.
