The Captain James Berry House is a historic house located in Harwich, Massachusetts. Built in 1858, it is a well-preserved example of Greek Revival architecture, notable for its continuous ownership by a single family. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on September 26, 1986, at which time it was owned by James Osmyn Berry, the great-grandson of its first owner.

At the 2010 census, its population was 3,162.The Swan Pond River and Upper County Road demarcate Dennis Port's western border with West Dennis. The village of West Harwich lies directly to Dennis Port's east, with the border demarcated by the median of Division Street. To the north of Dennis Port is South Dennis. Like other villages along Nantucket Sound, Dennis Port features warm-water beaches, like Haigis Beach, Sea Street Beach, and Glendon Road Beach. Many consider these among Cape Cod's most desirable beaches for swimming and windsurfing. By U.S. standards, real estate prices in Dennis Port remain high. Housing stock consists mostly of World War II–era beach cottages built in the Cape Cod architectural style, although many have been expanded or replaced with larger, more contemporary beach houses. Many streets in Dennis Port—particularly those south of Lower County Road, within 0.5 miles (0.80 km) of the beaches—evoke the quaint ambience of an early-20th century seasonal retreat. There are a great deal of hotels, cottage retreats, and businesses geared towards tourists. Famous residents of Dennis Port include U.S. military hero Benjamin F. Baker.

Harwich experiences a seasonal increase to roughly 37,000. The town is a popular vacation spot, located near the Cape Cod National Seashore. Harwich's beaches are on the Nantucket Sound side of Cape Cod. Harwich has three active harbors. Saquatucket, Wychmere and Allen Harbors are all in Harwich Port. The town of Harwich includes the villages of Pleasant Lake, West Harwich, East Harwich, Harwich Port, Harwich Center, North Harwich and South Harwich.

The West Dennis Graded School is a historic school building at 67 School Street in Dennis, Massachusetts. The two story Greek Revival building was built in 1867, and is the only one of five schools built by the town in that period to survive. In the 1920s the building also served as a polling place and a site for town meetings. It was converted for use as a community center in the 1950s. The school was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.The building is now owned by the Dennis Historical Society and open to the public on Friday afternoons in the summer.

Harwich Center station was a train station located in Harwich, Massachusetts. Built in 1887, it was a small 1+1⁄2-story wooden structure with a pointed roof.The Chatham Railroad opened between Harwich and Chatham on November 21, 1887. It was immediately leased by the Old Colony Railroad, which controlled all rail lines on Cape Cod, as its Chatham Branch. The Old Colony was leased by the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad in 1893.Passenger service on the Chatham Branch ended in 1931; it was the first line on Cape Cod to lose service. Freight service on the line continued until it was abandoned in 1937, though Harwich Center station was no longer in use by 1937. The stations were sold to private individuals; all but Chatham were eventually demolished.

West Dennis Light is a lighthouse in West Dennis, Massachusetts. It was previously known as Bass River Light. It is owned by and sits on top of the Lighthouse Inn, a seasonal hotel.
