Chase Library is the public library of West Harwich, Massachusetts. It is located in a small architecturally distinguished Colonial Revival building constructed in 1911. Efforts to build a library in West Harwich began in 1901, and reached fruition in 1906, with the gift of the home of Caleb Chase, a Harwich native who was son of a major local shipowner and shipbuilder and a successful businessman in his own right. The house, however, was not suitable for housing a library, so Dr. John Nickerson donated a corner of his large property that was near Chase's house for the purpose, and the present building, a small three-bay wood frame hip-roof building was constructed there.The library building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014.

The village of West Harwich lies directly to Dennis Port's east, with the border demarcated by the median of Division Street. To the north of Dennis Port is South Dennis. Like other villages along Nantucket Sound, Dennis Port features warm-water beaches, like Haigis Beach, Sea Street Beach, and Glendon Road Beach. Many consider these among Cape Cod's most desirable beaches for swimming and windsurfing. By U.S. standards, real estate prices in Dennis Port remain high. Housing stock consists mostly of World War II–era beach cottages built in the Cape Cod architectural style, although many have been expanded or replaced with larger, more contemporary beach houses. Many streets in Dennis Port—particularly those south of Lower County Road, within 0.5 miles (0.80 km) of the beaches—evoke the quaint ambience of an early-20th century seasonal retreat. There are a great deal of hotels, cottage retreats, and businesses geared towards tourists. Famous residents of Dennis Port include U.S. military hero Benjamin F. Baker.

Harwich's beaches are on the Nantucket Sound side of Cape Cod. Harwich has three active harbors. Saquatucket, Wychmere and Allen Harbors are all in Harwich Port. The town of Harwich includes the villages of Pleasant Lake, West Harwich, East Harwich, Harwich Port, Harwich Center, North Harwich and South Harwich.

Harwich Center station was a train station located in Harwich, Massachusetts. Built in 1887, it was a small 1+1⁄2-story wooden structure with a pointed roof.The Chatham Railroad opened between Harwich and Chatham on November 21, 1887. It was immediately leased by the Old Colony Railroad, which controlled all rail lines on Cape Cod, as its Chatham Branch. The Old Colony was leased by the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad in 1893.Passenger service on the Chatham Branch ended in 1931; it was the first line on Cape Cod to lose service. Freight service on the line continued until it was abandoned in 1937, though Harwich Center station was no longer in use by 1937. The stations were sold to private individuals; all but Chatham were eventually demolished.

Harwich Port (also spelled Harwichport) is a small affluent seaside community and census-designated place (CDP) situated along the Nantucket Sound in the town of Harwich in Barnstable County, Massachusetts, United States. It is named after the port of Harwich in Essex, England. As of the 2010 census, the CDP had a population of 1,644. It is a popular vacation spot on Cape Cod and is home to the Wychmere Beach Club and the Allen Harbor Yacht Club. Also, one of its popular mottos is "Three Harbors, One Port," referencing to Saquatucket, Wychmere, and Allen Harbor, which are all located in Harwich Port. Well known residents include Bill O'Brien, former head coach and general manager of the Houston Texans.

The Harwich Historic District is a historic district encompassing the historic portions of the Harwich Center village of Harwich, Massachusetts. The village, originally known as Broadbrooks after a prominent local family, was developed beginning in the 18th century, and features a high quality concentration of Greek Revival and Italianate architecture. It extends along Main and Parallel Streets between the cemetery in the west and Brooks Park in the east. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.
