Srinivasa Perumal Temple is a Perumal Temple situated in Purasawalkam neighbourhood of Chennai district in Tamil Nadu state in the peninsular India.It is located at an altitude of about 33 m above the mean sea level with the geographical coordinates of 13.081875°N 80.250920°E / 13.081875; 80.250920 (i.e., 13°04'54.8"N, 80°15'03.3"E). This temple is under the control of Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department, Government of Tamil Nadu. Kumbabhishek of this temple was performed on 15 September 2017. In April 2019, Lakhsarchana was done in the temple. This temple is one of the heritage buildings, as per the draft list prepared by the CMDA (Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority). Brahmotsav and Vaikunta Ekadasi are some of the important festivals celebrated in this temple.

Purusawalkam is a defunct legislative assembly constituency, that includes the locality, Purasawalkam of Chennai City and its surroundings. Purasawalkam assembly constituency was part of Chennai Central (Lok Sabha constituency). It was later divided between Egmore and newly created Thiru-Vi-Ka Nagar assembly constituencies.

Purasaiwalkam taluk is a taluk of the city district of Chennai in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It was formed in December 2013 from parts of the erstwhile Fort-Tondiarpet and Perambur-Purasawalkam taluks. It comprises the neighbourhoods of Purasawalkam, Vepery and Periamet.

Theppa Utsavam is usually held for 3 days on the occasion of Thai Poosa festival every year in the Pond (Theppakulam) in this very ancient temple. A canal has also been constructed to bring water to this temple pond. Rain water harvesting is done on the roads around the temple and to make rain water connections to store the rain water from them in the temple tank and to filter in them to store clean water. Under the 'Singhara Chennai 2.0' project, an action has been taken by the Chennai Metro Water, Sewage and Sewerage Works department.Sathya Narayana Perumal, Brahma, Banalingam, Nandi, Dakshinamurthy, Oontreeswarar, Vaitheeswarar, Kurunthamalleeswarar, Kashi Vishwanath, Chandikeswarar, Somaskandar, Durga, Mahaganapathy, Uchchishta Ganapathy with consort Siddhi, Shanmugar, Subramaniar with consorts Valli and Deivana, Sun, Moon, Navagrahas, Thirunavukkarasar, Sambandar, Sundarar, Manikkavasakar, Nagar, Bhagirathan, Sekkillhar, Kulachirainayanar, 63 nayanmars and Bhairava are the other deities in this temple to bless the devotees.

Pathala Ponniamman Temple is an Amman temple located in the neighbourhood of Kilpauk in Chennai district of Tamil Nadu in India. This temple is under the control of Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department. Since the temple is located near the border of Purasawalkam and Kilpauk, it is also called as 'Purasawalkam Pathala Ponniamman temple'. This temple's main deity goddess is the 'family deity' of about one lakh families of Chennai and its surrounding areas. Mostly women deities dominate worshipping this temple. 'Thirukkaappu pooja' is performed here at this temple daily in between 06:15 a.m. and 06:45 a.m.

Abirami Mega Mall was a shopping mall located in Purasawalkam, Chennai. It was constructed in 2003. Named after its owner Abirami Ramanathan, it was closed in 2019.

C.S.I Ewart Matriculation Higher Secondary School (Ewart, pronounced you-urt) is a private Christian school founded in 1913 in what is now Chennai, India. It gained matriculation status in 1945, and is managed by the Church of South India, Madras Diocese. Kellys (Tamil: கெல்லீஸ்), is a sub locality of Kilpauk, and it is an important road junction in Central Chennai. From Kellys to Siruseri via. Chetpet, the route continues. In this corridor, comes Kellys, through which tunnelling works are to be carried out. For this, Tunnel Boring Machines from China, are to be used. The Metro railway projects are undertaken by L & T limited and to be completed by 52 months.

Wesley Church is one of the oldest churches in Egmore area of Chennai, the capital of the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The original structure was built in Gothic architecture in 1905 by Wesleyan Mission. It was constructed at Egmore considering the growing needs of it in the area around Egmore. The church is named after John Wesley, the founder of Methodist Movement in 140 countries. Wesley Church is a working church with hourly prayer and daily services and follows Protestant sect of Christianity. The church also celebrates Harvest festival every year during the month of November. In modern times, it is under the dominion of Diocese of Madras of the Church of South India. It is one of the most prominent landmarks of Egmore.
