Veterans Way/College Ave, also known as the Tempe Transportation Center, is a regional transportation center on Valley Metro Rail in Tempe, Arizona, United States. As part of the regional transportation system, it is also the location of stops on multiple bus routes. A bike station is located here. This station has three names: Valley Metro calls the train platforms of this station Veterans Way/College Ave and the local bus bays the Tempe Transportation Center. Both are part of the same facility and immediately adjacent to Sun Devil Stadium which serves as the station's third name, as shown on the train platform signs. Bus schedules, train maps, and local signage all refer variously to only one of the names.

Mountain America Stadium is an outdoor college football stadium in the southwestern United States, on the campus of Arizona State University (ASU) in Tempe, Arizona. The stadium is officially named Mountain America Stadium, Home of the ASU Sun Devils. It was named Sun Devil Stadium until 2023. It is home to the ASU Sun Devils football team of the Pac-12 Conference. The stadium's seating capacity as of 2018 is 53,599, reduced from a peak of 74,865 in 1989. The natural grass playing surface within the stadium was named Frank Kush Field in 1996 in honor of the former coach of the team. The stadium underwent a five-year, $304-million renovation that was completed in August 2019.The stadium has hosted two annual college football bowl games: the Fiesta Bowl from 1971 to 2006, and the Cactus Bowl from 2006 to 2015. Sun Devil Stadium was the home of the Phoenix/Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League (NFL) from the 1988 through the 2005 seasons when the Cardinals moved into their own stadium in Glendale. The stadium was the only major football stadium in the Phoenix metropolitan area until the opening of State Farm Stadium.

The Tempe Municipal Building is an inverted pyramid-shaped building which serves as the city hall of Tempe, Arizona. It was designed by architects Rolf Osland, Michael Goodwin and Kemper Goodwin, and built during 1969–1971.

The Mona Plummer Aquatic Center is the aquatic center used by the Arizona State University Sun Devils swim team. It opened in 1981, cost four million dollars to build, and is named after Mona Plummer. Plummer was a national championship winning coach who died in 1979; she coached during three decades.The complex consists of three pools, including an Olympic-size competition pool, and a diving platform; it has seating for 2,000. It is located on the ASU campus in Tempe, Arizona. The facility hosted the 1989, 1991, 1993, and 1998 Pac-10 Diving Championships, as well as the 1981, 1991, and 1999 NCAA Zone E Diving Championships. The venue is regarded as one of the best collegiate aquatic centers in the nation.In October 2011, a former ASU swimmer drowned at the facility.

The C.T. Hayden House, also known as, "La Casa Vieja," or, "The Old House," is a historic building and landmark in Tempe, Arizona, and is the oldest occupied structure in the Salt River Valley (more commonly, The Valley of the Sun). Built in 1873, the home originally belonged to Charles Trumbull Hayden, who founded the city of Tempe. It is located at 100 S. Mill Ave, Tempe, and was the birthplace of Carl Hayden.

Sessions College for Professional Design is a private for-profit online college in Tempe, Arizona. It offers associate degrees, undergraduate certificates, and vocational certificates. It is accredited by the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC) and accredited at the certificate program level by Middle States Commission on Secondary Schools.

Mill Avenue/3rd Street (also known as Downtown Tempe/Town Lake) is a station on the Valley Metro Rail light rail line in Tempe, Arizona, United States. As of the opening of the Tempe Streetcar line on May 20, 2022, it serves as one of two transfer stations between the Valley Metro line and the Streetcar.

The Harrington–Birchett House is a former residence in downtown Tempe, Arizona. Originally built in 1895, the house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

The Decision Theater at Arizona State University is an 8,000-square-foot (740 m2) visualization environment that accommodates up to 30 participants.The core component of the Decision Theater is the ‘drum’ comprising a 260-degree faceted screen, seven rear-projection passive stereo sources, tracking devices and surround sound. This enables data to be displayed and interacted with in a panoramic setting using 2D or 3D stereoscopic video. Unlike some visualization labs and flat-wall display facilities, the Decision Theater is an immersive environment designed for collaboration. Participants are often arranged in a conference configuration to improve human engagement with each other and to interact with the visual information around them. They can take advantage of a variety of tools to improve decision making including 3D and geospatial visualization, simulation models, system dynamics, and computer-assisted tools for collecting participant input and collaboration. They also have access to the university’s ongoing research in policy informatics, design, geography, computational science, business, psychology and mathematics. The facility is used by federal, state and local government agencies, community planners and policy makers in business to address complex problems ranging from hyper growth, and water resource management to disease monitoring. These fall into four domains: Urban growth, Public health, Education, and Environment. The Decision Theater concept originated in 2005 and reflects the university leadership’s desire to create a different type of visualization center, one focused on issues related to new urbanism, smart growth and sustainability. That vision called for the creation of a space where researchers at the university and community could explore common issues in a neutral setting.

Tempe Town Lake is an artificial perennial reservoir located just north of Tempe Butte at the confluence of the intermittent Salt River and the ephemeral Indian Bend Wash in Tempe, Arizona, United States. The reservoir receives none of its water from the Colorado River but almost all from the damming of the Salt River. On July 20, 2010, a portion of the west side of the dam that contained the water in the lake collapsed, sending a flood of water into the Salt River and draining the lake.

The Mary Lou Fulton Institute and Graduate School of Education (known as FIGSE) at Arizona State University was established in 1954. It disestablished in 2010 by Provost Elizabeth Capaldi amidst strong objections from faculty, students, and relevant professional organizations. FIGSE is sometimes confused with ASU's Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College, which was renamed from the regional teaching-intensive West campus College of Teacher Education and Leadership (CTEL) at the same time the historic FIGSE was disestablished.

The Arboretum at Arizona State University is an arboretum located in small exhibit sites scattered across walkways and open areas throughout the campus of the Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona. All of the sites are open to the public daily without charge, since the campus' public areas are not shut off from city streets. The arboretum was formally dedicated in 1990, and now includes over 300 species from the Sonoran Desert and other regions. It contains one of the best collections of date palms and conifers in the desert Southwest, as well as a growing collection of native southwestern plants. Major collections currently include: Conifers Deciduous trees Evergreens Fruit trees Palms
