Col. Isaac Beeson House

Colfax is a small unincorporated community located in Guilford County, North Carolina, United States. It is located in the western part of the county. The population in 2010 was 4,136.The community is a suburb of Greensboro and High Point and is located in the center of the Piedmont Triad. Its main attraction is the Robert G. Shaw Piedmont Triad Farmers Market, where people shop for fresh food from local farmers. Its main school is Colfax Elementary, which is part of the Guilford County School System. It is also the location of one of fifteen Piano and Organ Distributors, one of the largest piano sellers in the country. In 2000, the community attempted to incorporate, but failed after a joint commission found that the proposed limits were not sufficient for incorporation under North Carolina law, lacking under the population density requirement. On June 30, 2008 the city of Greensboro annexed the main part of Colfax into the city limits and in 2010 the City of High Point annexed Southern portions of the area, though some of Colfax is still unincorporated.

Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School is a private, Roman Catholic high school in Kernersville, North Carolina, minutes from downtown Greensboro and Winston-Salem. It operates under the direction of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Charlotte.

Southwest Guilford High School is a secondary school in High Point, North Carolina, United States established in 1979. It serves grades nine through twelve. The school was recently renovated and expanded to add more class rooms, a media center, and a gymnasium. The new gymnasium is the largest high school gym in Guilford County. The gym is named after long time SW Guilford teacher and coach Jim Coggins.

Endsley-Morgan House, also known as the "Reuben Starbuck" House, is a historic home located near Colfax, Guilford County, North Carolina. It consists of brick, two-story, single pile main block built between 1780 and 1792, and a frame rear ell built about 1860. A small one-story, brick, shed roofed wing was added in the early-20th century. The house incorporates stylistic elements of Quaker architecture.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

Shaw-Cude House is a historic home located near Colfax, Guilford County, North Carolina. It consists of two principal sections: a single-pen, 1+1⁄2-story log structure with an exterior end chimney, probably erected between 1790 and 1800; and the larger 2+1⁄2-story block, of brick construction, probably built about 1809. The house incorporates Late Georgian and Greek Revival style design elements and embodies stylistic elements of Quaker architecture.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Horneytown was named for the Horney family of early settlers. Stuart Motor Company is a historic automobile showroom building located at Kernersville, Forsyth County, North Carolina. It was built in 1926, and is a utilitarian brick building with a two-story front section and a tall one-story rear section. The building previously featured "STUART MOTOR COMPANY" in Art Deco lettering.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

Kernersville Depot is a historic train station located at Kernersville, Forsyth County, North Carolina. It was built by the Northwestern North Carolina Railroad in 1873. It is a plain one-story, mortise-and-tenon gable roofed building sheathed in board-and-batten siding in the Late Victorian style. It served as a depot until a new station was built in 1901. After that, it provided storage for the railroad and later for a farm and feed business.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

It was built in 1915–1916, and is a two-story cross-gabled brick building, with Gothic Revival and Tudor Revival style design elements. It has a cross-gable roof, three-stage corner entrance tower, and retains original furnishings.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.
