Brisbane South Girls and Infants School

Brisbane State High School (BSHS or often commonly State High) is a partially selective, co-educational, state secondary school, located in South Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It is a member of the Great Public Schools Association of Queensland, and the Queensland Girls' Secondary Schools Sports Association.It was the first state secondary school established in Brisbane, as well as the first academic state high school to be founded in Queensland. The school employs a variety of selection criteria for prospective students, maintaining a quota for local area enrolments, however also using academic, sporting, cultural and artistic talents as means of determining the annual intake.One of the school's buildings, H Block, was the former Brisbane South Girls and Infants School built in 1864 and is now listed on the Queensland Heritage Register.

The park is bordered by Edmonstone, Russell, and Cordelia Streets, and Brisbane State High School, and has an area of 63,225 square metres (680,550 sq ft). The park is of cultural significance to Aboriginal Australians. The park and the former bowls clubhouse (now used as a community centre) are listed on the Brisbane Heritage Register.

Town of South Brisbane was an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of Queensland from 1860 to 1873.Taking in areas of Brisbane south of the Brisbane River, it was a single member constituency and one of the original sixteen districts contested at the first colonial election in 1860. The Queensland Centre for Photography was regarded as one of the leading photographic institutions in Australia, its program included exhibitions, publications, international projects and the Queensland Festival of Photography. The annual exhibition program consisted of approximately 44 individual shows during 11 exhibition periods.

The South Bank Piazza is a multi-purpose venue located in the South Bank Parklands in Brisbane, Australia. The Courier-Mail was the naming rights sponsor of the venue from 2013, prior to which it was known as the Suncorp Piazza and is currently known as the South Bank Piazza. The amphitheatre is covered by a sound shell (designed by architectural firm Ark Atelier), and features a 5x4m suspended screen. The amphitheatre seating of the venue has a capacity of 2,158 people, while the floor space (which has an area of 513m2) can accommodate either 750 people standing, or 532 people seated in temporary seating.The Venue will host the 3x3 Basketball in the 2032 Olympic Games. The venue is close to the South Brisbane railway station and the Cultural Centre Busway Station.

Plough Inn is a heritage-listed hotel at South Bank Parklands, South Brisbane, City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It was designed by Alexander Brown Wilson and built in 1885 by contractor Abraham James. In 1922, it was extended to a design by George Henry Male Addison and Son and built by Robertson and Corbette. It is also known as Plough Inn Hotel. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 21 October 1992.

The South Bank Grand Arbour is a kilometre long arbour located in the South Bank Parklands in Brisbane, Australia. The structure functions as a pedestrian walkway which connects the Griffith Film School on the corner of Dock Street and Vulture Street to the Cultural Forecourt adjacent to QPAC, as well as the rest of the South Bank Parklands through which it runs.The arbour was designed by Melbourne-based architectural firm Denton Corker Marshall, and was officially opened in 2000. The structure is composed of 443 steel tendrils upon which a bougainvillea canopy is grown.
