Muddy Run is a 17.6-mile-long (28.3 km) tributary of the Maurice River in southwestern New Jersey in the United States.It flows in a generally southeastern direction through southern Gloucester County.

Monroeville Vineyard & Winery is a winery in the Monroeville section of Upper Pittsgrove Township in Salem County, New Jersey. The vineyard was first planted in 2010, and opened to the public in 2012. Monroeville has 4 acres of grapes under cultivation, and produces 1,800 cases of wine per year from New Jersey and Chilean grapes. The winery is named for the community where it is located.

During the 1880s and 1890s, it was one of several South Jersey destinations settled by Russian Jewish immigrants who were offered transportation by ship from Europe, and were provided with land and a cow in farming colonies.As of the 2010 United States Census, the population for ZIP Code Tabulation Area 08343 was 5,030. As of the 2000 census, the population was 4,596.

As of the 2020 United States census, the township's population was 3,432, a decrease of 73 (−2.1%) from the 2010 census count of 3,505, which in turn reflected an increase of 37 (+1.1%) from the 3,468 counted in the 2000 census.Upper Pittsgrove Township was incorporated on March 10, 1846, from portions of Pittsgrove Township. The township was named for elk hunted in the area.Until 2016, Elk Township had been a dry township where alcohol could not be sold. That year, the township sold a package goods license for $300,000, which allows the sale of alcohol for off-premise consumption.
