Briggsdale (Columbus, Ohio)

Briggs High School is a four-year high school (grades 9–12) located on the southwest side of Columbus, Ohio. It is a part of Columbus City Schools. The building was built in 1974. Briggs' mascot and sports teams are known as the Bruins, and the school colors are purple and gold.

West Columbus, sometimes referred to as westside or the West Side, is a neighborhood in Columbus, Ohio, United States. Camp Chase was a military staging and training camp established in Columbus, Ohio in May 1861 after the start of the American Civil War. It also included a large Union-operated prison camp for Confederate prisoners during the American Civil War.The camp was closed and dismantled after the war and the site has been redeveloped for residential and commercial use, except for the Camp Chase Confederate Cemetery, which contains 2,260 graves of Confederates who died in captivity both in Camp Chase and in Camp Dennison near Cincinnati. Camp Chase was located in what is now the Hilltop neighborhood of Columbus, Ohio. Camp Chase is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Bishop Ready High School () is a Catholic high school located in Columbus, Ohio. It is part of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Columbus. The original building opened in 1961 and consisted of two floors of 22 classrooms and an Art and Shop Wing with three classrooms. In 1999 a science wing consisting of three rooms was opened and in 2004 a band room, weight room, trainer's office, and wrestling room were added. The original building covers a total area of 95,695 sq. ft. and cost $1,237,000 total to construct.

The Gantz Homestead, also called the Gantz Farm House, in Grove City, Franklin County, Ohio, United States, was built in or around 1832. It was listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

The Columbus Developmental Center (CDC) is a state-supported residential school for people with developmental disabilities, located in the Hilltop neighborhood of Columbus, Ohio. The school, founded in 1857, was the third of these programs developed by a U.S. state, after Massachusetts in 1848 and New York in 1851.Names for the school included: the Ohio Asylum for the Education of Idiotic and Imbecile Youth (from 1857 to 1878), the Ohio Institution for the Education of Idiotic and Imbecile Youth (1878–1881), the Ohio Institution for Feeble-Minded Youth (1881–1945), the Columbus State School (1945–1970), the Columbus State Institute (1970–1980), and the Columbus Developmental Center (1980–present).

Green Lawn Cemetery is a historic private rural cemetery located in Columbus, Ohio, in the United States. Organized in 1848 and opened in 1849, the cemetery was the city's premier burying ground in the 1800s and beyond. An American Civil War memorial was erected there in 1891, and chapel constructed in 1902. With 360 acres (150 ha), it is Ohio's second-largest cemetery.

Franklin Heights High School is a high school in Columbus, Ohio. It is 1 of 5 high schools in the South-Western City Schools district. The mascot is the Golden Falcon. Franklin Heights derives many students from the neighborhood Riverbend, Columbus, Ohio. It has many boys and girls athletic teams, a marching band, drama club, and an NJROTC unit.

Hilltop is one of the largest neighborhoods in Columbus, Ohio, located west of Franklinton and Downtown. The Greater Hilltop area contains newer and historic neighborhoods, schools, various stores, industrial areas, and recreational facilities. The development pattern is considered a distinct suburb. The majority of the area is predominantly single family residential.
