New London High School is a high school in New London, Connecticut operated by the New London Public Schools school district. New London High School is a Public Magnet School.

The United States Housing Corporation Historic District is a residential historic district located on the west side of New London, Connecticut. It contains a relatively uniform collection of Colonial Revival houses, most of them built in 1919 and 1920 by the United States Housing Corporation, a United States federal government agency founded to provide housing for workers in strategically significant war-related industries. The development of this district was overseen by the noted landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted Jr. The district is bounded on the west by Colman Avenue, the south by West Pleasant Street, the east by Jefferson Street, and on the north by Fuller Street. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on April 16, 1990.

The Civic Institutions Historic District in New London, Connecticut is a historic district that was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990. It includes six contributing buildings over a 7 acres (2.8 ha) area. The district includes properties that were historically developed between 1867 and 1917 to provide for the city's indigent population and to provide medical services to the community at large. Two of the buildings are almshouses, built in 1867 and 1917, and the others were historically associated with the delivery of medical services, and date to the turn of the 20th century. The district properties are 179 Colman Street, 32 Walden Avenue, and 156, 158, 171, and 173-5 Garfield Avenue.

The Lyman Allyn Art Museum is located in New London, Connecticut, and was founded in 1926 by Lyman Allyn's daughter Harriet Upson Allyn. Its collection includes European and non-Western art as well as American fine and decorative art, 17th-century European works on paper, 19th-century American paintings, and contemporary art. The museum also conducts educational programs.The Deshon-Allyn House on the museum's campus is a Federal style house built in 1829 by Daniel Deshon, sold to Lyman Allyn, and occupied by various members of his family. Built in 1890, it is a high quality example of transitional Queen Anne and Shingle style architecture. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on June 1, 1982, and is part of the Post Hill Historic District.

The Deshon-Allyn House is a historic house at 613 Williams Street in New London, Connecticut built in 1829 for the captain of a whaling ship and is a fine example of transitional Federal-Greek Revival architecture. The house is now on the campus of the Lyman Allyn Art Museum, which has used it for a variety of purposes. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on October 28, 1970.

The Jonathan Newton Harris House is at historic house at 130 Broad Street in New London, Connecticut. Completed in 1860 to a design by Leopold Eidlitz, it is a major local example of Italianate and Renaissance Revival architecture. It was built for Jonathan Newton Harris, a prominent local businessman who was mayor of New London at the time of its construction. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on April 27, 1982. It is now home to New London's United Methodist Church.

The Williams School is a private co-educational secondary school in New London, Connecticut, that offers classes from 6th grade to 12th grade. It was founded as the Williams Memorial Institute (WMI) by Harriet Peck Williams in 1891, following the death of her son Thomas W. Williams II, a well-known whaling merchant.The school was originally located at 110 Broad Street in New London, but moved when it merged with Connecticut College in 1954. Despite the merger, it remains a legally separate entity. The original building became a Connecticut state courthouse in 1972, and was purchased by the state in 1997.
