Crosby United Reformed Church

Crosby is a coastal town in the Metropolitan Borough of Sefton, Merseyside, England. Historically in Lancashire, it is north of Bootle, south of Southport and Formby and west of Netherton.

Marine Association Football Club is an English football club based in Crosby, Merseyside. The club, which was founded in 1894, is a member of both the Liverpool County and Lancashire County Football Associations, and currently plays in the Northern Premier League Division One West. Marine is notable for having the longest serving manager in postwar English football. Roly Howard occupied the post from 1972 to 2005 and oversaw a total of 1,975 games.

Affordable Football Club Liverpool is a semi-professional football club based in Liverpool, England. The club were formed in 2008 by 1,000 supporters of Liverpool Football Club; a not-for-profit organisation, it is run on a one-member, one-vote system. They are currently members of the North West Counties League Premier Division and play at Marine's Rossett Park.

Brighton-le-Sands is an area of Merseyside, England in the borough of Sefton. It is located close to Crosby, situated between Blundellsands to the north, Waterloo to the south and Great Crosby to the east. Crosby Beach, the site of Anthony Gormley's Another Place statues, borders the area to the west. Several of the streets in Brighton-le-Sands are, like the area itself, named after locations in Sussex; including Hastings, Worthing and Eastbourne.

Sefton was a rural district in Lancashire, England from 1894 to 1932. It was created by the Local Government Act 1894 based on West Derby rural sanitary district. It included the following parishes: Aintree Croxteth Park (to Liverpool in 1928) Fazakerley (to Liverpool in 1905) Orrell and Ford (split 1905 to Orrell which became part of Bootle, and Ford, which remained in Sefton RD) Ince Blundell Kirkby (transferred to Whiston Rural District in 1922) Lunt Netherton Sefton Thornton West Derby Rural (to Liverpool in 1928)It was abolished by a County Review Order in 1932, with the parishes being added to the West Lancashire Rural District (Lunt being abolished and added to Sefton parish at the same time). The remaining parishes, Aintree, Ford (itself absorbed into Litherland Urban District in 1954), Ince Blundell, Netherton, Sefton and Thornton, have all formed part of the Metropolitan Borough of Sefton in Merseyside since 1974.

Blundellsands is a Metropolitan Borough of Sefton ward in the Sefton Central Parliamentary constituency that covers the localities of Blundellsands and Brighton-le-Sands. The total population of this ward taken at the 2011 Census was 11,280.

Waterloo is an area of the Metropolitan Borough of Sefton, in Merseyside, England. Along with Seaforth the two localities make up the Sefton Ward of Church. The area is bordered by Crosby to the north, Seaforth to the south, the Rimrose Valley country park to the east, and to the west the Crosby Beach and Crosby Coastal Park. Crosby Beach begins in Waterloo at the Crosby Marine Park and stretches 3 miles up to Hightown and is the location of Antony Gormley's Another Place. Waterloo is home to The Plaza Community Cinema, an award-winning volunteer ran cinema and host of local community public events. The area is connected to Liverpool in the south and Southport to the north by Merseyrail Northern line at Waterloo railway station.

St Mary's College is an independent Roman Catholic coeducational day school in Crosby, Merseyside, about 7 miles (11 km) north of Liverpool. It comprises an early years department "Bright Sparks" (age 4 and under), preparatory school known as "The Mount" (age 4-11) and secondary school with a 6th Form (age 11-18). It was formerly a direct grant grammar school for boys, founded and controlled by the Christian Brothers order. Notable alumni include John Birt, Roger McGough, Tony Booth and Cardinal Vincent Nichols.
