Bexbach

Saarländisches Bergbaumuseum is a museum of mining in Saarland, Germany.

Bexbach station is a station in the German state of Saarland. It was opened in 1849 and is the oldest preserved station building in the state, although it has extended in 1872 and 1896. When it was built, Bexbach was in the Circle of the Rhine (Rheinkreis) of the Kingdom of Bavaria. It was put into operation together with Homburg Hauptbahnhof and the Palatine Ludwig Railway (Pfälzische Ludwigsbahn). Homburg station, which was destroyed during the Second World War, received a new entrance building at the beginning of the 1950s, but Bexbach station was preserved. When it was built, it was a border station between Bavaria and Prussia and also the terminus of the historic Palatine Ludwig Railway. Today, it is a through station on the Homburg–Neunkirchen railway. The building and its surrounding area have been given heritage protection.

Bexbach Power Station is a coal-fired power station in the Bexbach municipality of Saarland, Germany. It has an output capacity of 773 megawatts. The chimney of the power station is 240 metres high. It can store up to 200,000 tons of coal. The first power station in Bexbach, called the St. Barbara, was inaugurated in 1953. It had a capacity of only 100 MW. In 1979 construction of today's facility began. It became operational in 1983. 75% of the power plant is owned by KBV Bexbach Verwaltungsgesellschaft mbH (EnBW Kraftwerke AG 2/3; STEAG Power Saar GmbH 1/3) and 25% is owned by EnBW Kraftwerke AG.

The Mutterbach is a river of Saarland, Germany. It flows into the Blies in Limbach.

The Glan (German pronunciation: [ɡlaːn] ) is a river in southwestern Germany, right tributary of the Nahe. It is approximately 68 km (42 miles) long. It rises in the Saarland, northwest of Homburg. It flows generally north, through Rhineland-Palatinate, and empties into the Nahe near Odernheim am Glan, at Staudernheim, across the Nahe from Bad Sobernheim. Other towns along the Glan are Altenglan, Glan-Münchweiler, Lauterecken and Meisenheim.

Jägersburg (in Dialect Järschborch or Jächersburch) is a district of Homburg in the Saar-Palatinate (Saarpfalz) district, Germany. Until End 1973 was Jägersburg an independent municipality in the former Homburg district. Jägersburg has many lakes and ponds. The 3 lakes are the Möhlwoog (7,4 ha), the Brückweiher (7,09 ha) and the Schloßweiher (Castle lake) (1,71 ha). During the 18th century, Schloss Jägersburg was the favourite palace of Christian IV, Duke of Zweibrücken. However, today nothing remains anymore of these times.

Kirkel is a municipality in the Saarpfalz district in Saarland, Germany. It is situated approximatively 8 km southeast of Neunkirchen, and 20 km east/northeast of Saarbrücken.

Kirkel station is a station located in Kirkel-Neuhäusel at kilometre 21.50 of the Mannheim–Saarbrücken railway in the German state of Saarland. Deutsche Bahn classified it as belonging to station category 6. The station is served hourly by Regionalbahn services RB70 and RB71. In addition, individual Regional-Express services on line RE1 (one of five services branded as Süwex—"south west express") stop. At the station there are Park&Ride parking spaces.

Homburg (Saar) Hauptbahnhof is a railway station in the town of Homburg in the German state of Saarland. It is a through station with four platforms and seven platform tracks and is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a station of category 3. It is located at the junction of the Homburg–Neunkirchen line and the Mannheim–Saarbrücken line (Palatine Ludwig Railway). It has been the western terminus of line S1 of the Rhine-Neckar S-Bahn since 2006.

Erbach (German pronunciation: [ˈɛʁbax] ) is a river of Saarland, Germany. It flows into the Blies near Homburg.
