Kirkel station

Kirkel is a municipality in the Saarpfalz district in Saarland, Germany. It is situated approximatively 8 km southeast of Neunkirchen, and 20 km east/northeast of Saarbrücken.

The Holy Cross Chapel (German: Heilig-Kreuz-Kapelle) also known as the Gnadenkapelle is located on the Han ("Hain") above Blieskastel in Saarland. As a place of pilgrimage, it belongs to the Blieskastel Monastery, built in 1929, and is visited by around 80,000 pilgrims annually. The chapel was built as a place of veneration for a relic of the True Cross, but today it is closely related to the 14th century Pietà "Our Lady with the Arrows". In the list of monuments of the Saarland, the chapel is listed as an individual monument within the ensemble of the monastery complex "Auf dem Han".

Würzbach is a river of Saarland, Germany. It flows into the Blies in Blieskastel.

Blieskastel (German pronunciation: [ˌbliːsˈkast(ɘ)l]) is a city in the Saarpfalz (Saar-Palatinate) district, in Saarland, Germany which is divided into villages. It is situated on the river Blies, approximately 10 kilometres (6 miles) southwest of Homburg (Saar), 8 km (5 mi) west of Zweibrücken, and 20 km (12 mi) east of Saarbrücken.

Bierbach an der Blies is a part (Stadtteil) of Blieskastel, Saarland, Germany. It is part of the Bliesgau and was founded on the right river bank of the Blies. As a consequence of the territorial and administrative reform of 1974 in Saarland, Bierbach ceased to be an independent municipality and became a part of the town of Blieskastel and incorporated within the district Saarpfalz-Kreis of which Homburg is the administrative seat.

Bexbach station is a station in the German state of Saarland. It was opened in 1849 and is the oldest preserved station building in the state, although it has extended in 1872 and 1896. When it was built, Bexbach was in the Circle of the Rhine (Rheinkreis) of the Kingdom of Bavaria. It was put into operation together with Homburg Hauptbahnhof and the Palatine Ludwig Railway (Pfälzische Ludwigsbahn). Homburg station, which was destroyed during the Second World War, received a new entrance building at the beginning of the 1950s, but Bexbach station was preserved. When it was built, it was a border station between Bavaria and Prussia and also the terminus of the historic Palatine Ludwig Railway. Today, it is a through station on the Homburg–Neunkirchen railway. The building and its surrounding area have been given heritage protection.

The Battle of Biesingen was a battle of the War of the First Coalition on 17 November 1793 at Biesingen, now a district of Blieskastel. It occurred between a Prussian force under General Friedrich Adolf von Kalckreuth and a French one under General Louis-Lazare Hoche, ending in a Prussian victory.

The Ellenfeldstadion is a grass surface, multi-purpose stadium in Neunkirchen, Saarland, Germany. It was built in 1911 and 1912, completely reconstructed between 1962 and 1964 and partially renovated in 2002. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home of Borussia Neunkirchen. The stadium is also used by the American football team Saarland Hurricanes from Saarbrücken. The stadium has a capacity of 23,400 spectators.

Rohrbach (Saar) station is a station in the district of Rohrbach of Sankt Ingbert in the German state of Saarland.
