Cumberland County is a county located in the U.S. state of North Carolina. As of the 2020 census, the population was 334,728, making it the fifth-most populous county in North Carolina. Its county seat is Fayetteville. Cumberland County is part of the Fayetteville, NC Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Cross Creek is a 9.70 mi (15.61 km) long 4th order tributary to the Cape Fear River in Cumberland County, North Carolina.

Cape Fear Botanical Garden (80 acres) is a nonprofit botanical garden located at 536 North Eastern Boulevard, Fayetteville, North Carolina. It is open to the public daily (excluding some holidays and in event of inclement weather); an admission fee is charged. The Garden was established in 1989 to serve both Fayetteville Technical Community College horticulture students and North Carolina horticulturalists. It conserves and displays plant species and the plant communities of the Cape Fear River basin. The garden contains nature trails, a natural amphitheater, steep ravines with unusual plants, and a varied riparian terrain ranging from pine forest through hardwood hills to river banks. Cape Fear botanical gardens holds many events such as weddings, military balls, ceremonies, and business sessions.

Fayetteville Area System of Transit (FAST) is the public transit system for Fayetteville, North Carolina. FAST was created in 1976, when the City of Fayetteville took over private transportation system operated by the Cape Fear Transit Bus Company. That system provided services to the current service area and Little Rockfish in Hope Mills. The hours of operation were seven days a week, from 5:30 a.m. to midnight. It had a fleet size of 29 buses and 20 bus operators. FAST serves 5,000 daily passengers, with 18 daily bus routes operated from 5:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. on Saturday. In fiscal year 2014, FAST carried just under 1.6 million passenger trips.

Cross Creek Cemetery is a cemetery located in Fayetteville, North Carolina, near a creek of that name that "meanders for more than a mile from downtown Fayetteville to the Cape Fear River." It was established in 1785. The cemetery is organized into five numbered sections and is managed by a cemetery office within Fayetteville–Cumberland County Parks & Recreation.

Hay Street United Methodist Church is a historic Methodist church located in Fayetteville, Cumberland County, North Carolina. It was the first Methodist church constructed in the city. The congregation was received into the Methodist Episcopal Church in 1808 by Bishop Francis Asbury and it was completed on June 23, 1835. The current structure was built in 1908, one hundred years after the official organization of the church. It is a brick church with three corner towers in the Late Gothic Revival style. The building is known for its elaborate stained glass windows, which feature the lost art of the "robing glass" technique. Renovations to the structure last took place in 1978, including the installation of a Holkamp Organ.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.The church constructed a new Family Life Center which was completed in 2007. The Rev. David Woodhouse currently serves as pastor.

Cool Spring Place, also known as Cool Spring Tavern, is a historic home located at Fayetteville, Cumberland County, North Carolina. It was built in 1788, and is a two-story, five bay by four bay, rectangular Federal style frame dwelling. It low hipped roof and features a double porch on the front facade. It operated as a tavern until 1795, and is believed to be the oldest existing structure in the city of Fayetteville, having survived the disastrous fire of 1831.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.

First Presbyterian Church is a historic Presbyterian church located at Ann and Bow Streets in Fayetteville, Cumberland County, North Carolina. It was built in 1832, incorporating parts of the brick walls of an earlier (1816) church that burned in 1831. It is a two-story gabled brick building, five bays wide and five wider bays deep. The chancel, portico, steeple and most of the interior woodwork are later additions and replacements. The hexastyle portico and steeple were designed by Hobart Upjohn in 1922.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.

Sedberry-Holmes House is a historic home located at Fayetteville, Cumberland County, North Carolina. It was built in 1886, and is a two-story, five bay by three bay, Queen Anne style frame dwelling. It has a two-story gabled projection with an attached corner turret. It features a steep gable roof and wraparound porch.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

John A. Oates House is a historic home originally located at Fayetteville, Cumberland County, North Carolina. It is a late-18th / early 19th century dwelling remodeled in 1909. It is a two-story, five-bay frame Classical Revival style frame dwelling. It features a two-story pedimented portico supported by four fluted columns.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.The Oates House has since been relocated to a Vass, NC country club where it has been repurposed as a private clubhouse.

Kyle House is a historic home located at Fayetteville, Cumberland County, North Carolina. The original Kyle House, home to merchant James Kyle, burned in a city fire in 1831. Rumor had it that the great fire began in the Kyle House's kitchen. It was then rebuilt in about 1855 as a two-story, five-bay, brick town house with Greek Revival and Italianate style design elements. It features a three-bay wide one-story porch with a flat roof supported by four fluted Doric order columns.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.

St. John's Episcopal Church in Fayetteville, North Carolina is a congregation of the Episcopal Diocese of East Carolina, a division of the Episcopal Church in the United States of America. Founded in 1817, it is located on Green Street in historic downtown Fayetteville. The congregation was formally organized April 7, 1817, and it became the first Episcopal church in the city. It is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Public tours are available by appointment.
