Narahenpita is a municipal ward of Colombo. Located at the South-Eastern corner and served by the Kelani Valley Railway Line, many government institutions including the National Blood Bank, the Survey Department, the Labor Ministry and several departments of the Health Ministry are situated in the area as well as several major private hospitals in the country.

The Department of Survey of Sri Lanka (also known as the Department of the Surveyor General) (Sinhala: ශ්‍රී ලංකා මිනින්දෝරු දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව Shri Lanka Minindoru Departhamenthuwa) is a non-ministerial government department in Sri Lanka. Established on 2 August 1800, it is the oldest unchanged government department in the country. The department is responsible for national surveying and mapping. It is also the national focal point of GIS and Remote Sensing with representation in the Global Mapping Project organised by the International Steering Committee for Global Mapping (ISCGM). The head of the department is Surveyor General of Sri Lanka.

Dudley Senanayake College is situated in Park Road Close to Anderson Flats (Colombo 05, Sri Lanka). The school has nearly 2000 students. This school is popular for sports like cricket and rugby. It has a long history as a school but still lacks popularity around Sri Lanka. In its 39-year history it has produced many graduates including doctors, engineers chemists, teachers and much more. Until the year 2000 it didn't have Advanced/Level classes. First A/L batch faced its exam in the year 2000 in Arts steam. All above mentioned science graduates are the students of Dudley Senanayake College until their Ordinary/Level. Since there were no science A/L they are compelled to go to some other school. Dudley Senanayake Vidyalaya had a wonderful primary section during latter part of 80s to 2000. It produced many scholars which later became very bright and brilliant students of popular schools of Sri Lankan. Elizabeth Moir School, founded in 1996, is a co-educational, international day school in Colombo, Sri Lanka. It is attended by children aged between 2-18 of a wide variety of nationalities . Since the school started in 1996, it has enrolled students from over 74 different countries. Currently, approximately 45% of the students are from the host country and the balance (55%) are from expatriate families resident in Sri Lanka.

The Sri Lanka Institute of Development Administration (Sinhala: ශ්‍රී ලංකා සංවර්ධන පරිපාලන ආයතනය; Tamil: அபிவிருத்தி இலங்கை நிர்வாக நிறுவனம்) (also known as SLIDA) is a research and training institute focusing on public policy and public administration in Sri Lanka. It is operated as a government-operated company through the Ministry of Public Administration and Management and is located in Colombo.

Liveramentu Cemetery, also locally known as Jawatta Cemetery or the Torrington Cemetery, is a large municipal cemetery, located approximately 1.5 km (0.93 mi) from the Colombo city centre, on Torrington Avenue. It is also the largest Commonwealth war cemetery in Sri Lanka. It is one of the six Commonwealth war cemeteries in Sri Lanka, and is maintained by the Department of National Botanical Gardens, with funding from the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.The entrance to the cemetery incorporates a memorial wall, commemorating 346 Commonwealth servicemen and one Dutch serviceman who died while serving in Ceylon during the Second World War (1939–1945), whose graves/bodies could not be found. In addition the cemetery contains the Liveramentu Cremation Memorial which commemorates 165 servicemen of the Hindu faith who died while serving in Ceylon, and who were accorded the last rite required by their religion – committal to fire. The memorial is in the form of a stone pylon crowned with a stone urn, with wing walls inscribed with the servicemen's names. The cemetery also has a memorial commemorating 28 Italian prisoners of war who died and were buried in the country between 1939 and 1945. The cemetery is situated on the site of a Portuguese church, Chapel of Nossa Senhora do Livramento, dedicated to the Virgin Mary, the Virgin of Good Deliverance, from which it derives its name. The church was a well known Marian shrine, with a well whose waters were alleged to perform miracles. The church was subsequently destroyed by the Dutch. The site was declared a protected archaeological site on 8 July 2005.

Isipathana College(Sinhala: ඉසිපතන විද්‍යාලය) previously known as Greenlands College. Isipathana College is a national school in Colombo, Sri Lanka. It was established in January 1952. Presently it provides primary and secondary education on a campus of 4.5 ha (11 acres) ranging from grades 1 to 13, with an enrollment of more than 5,000+ students. It provides education from Grades 1 to 13 in Sinhala, Tamil and English language. The students of the college are known as Pathanians whilst past pupils are known as Old Pathanians.

Colts Cricket Club Ground is a cricket ground on Park Road in Havelock Town, Colombo, Sri Lanka, in the south-east corner of Havelock Park. It has been the home of Colts Cricket Club since 1971. The ground is a regular venue for first-class and List A cricket matches and has also hosted many women's cricket matches. It has also hosted some Youth Tests and ODIs. As of late December 2016 it had hosted 188 first-class matches.

The Sri Lanka Sustainable Energy Authority (or SLSEA) is the primary body responsible for the issuance of licenses for sustainable energy developments in Sri Lanka. In addition to being the key licence provider, it is also the organization responsible for promoting renewable energy and sustainable developments in the country.

Ceylonese Rugby & Football Club Grounds (also known as Longdon Place) commonly known as CR & FC is a multi-purpose stadium complex located in Colombo, Sri Lanka.It is the home ground of Division 'A' rugby union team, Ceylonese Rugby & Football Club, and on occasion hosts concerts and musical performances.

Indonesia and Sri Lanka established diplomatic relations on 6 August 1952. Both nations share some cultural similarities. Indonesia and Sri Lanka are members of numerous organizations such as the World Trade Organization and Indian-Ocean Rim Association. They are also founding members of the Non-Aligned Movement. Indonesia has an embassy in Colombo, while Sri Lanka has an embassy in Jakarta. Regarding the LTTE separatism in Sri Lanka, Indonesia has expressed their support on Sri Lankan territorial integrity and national unity. Indonesia also supports the national reconciliation process in Sri Lanka towards peace and stability.

The Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH), (Sinhala: බණ්ඩාරනායක ජාත්‍යාන්තර සම්මන්ත්‍රණ ශාලාව Tamil: பண்டாரநாயக்க சர்வதேச மாநாட்டு மண்டபம்) is a convention center located in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Built between 1970 and 1973, the convention centre was a gift from the People's Republic of China in memory of Solomon Ridgeway Dias Bandaranaike, Prime Minister (1956–1959).The construction of the hall was carried out by a joint Sri Lankan and Chinese workforce with a considerable portion of the building materials being imported from China. In 1998 a small Exhibition Centre, the Sirimavo Bandaranaike Memorial Exhibition Centre, was built on the grounds as a gift from China.
