The Sri Lanka Institute of Development Administration (Sinhala: ශ්‍රී ලංකා සංවර්ධන පරිපාලන ආයතනය; Tamil: அபிவிருத்தி இலங்கை நிர்வாக நிறுவனம்) (also known as SLIDA) is a research and training institute focusing on public policy and public administration in Sri Lanka. It is operated as a government-operated company through the Ministry of Public Administration and Management and is located in Colombo.

The Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH), (Sinhala: බණ්ඩාරනායක ජාත්‍යාන්තර සම්මන්ත්‍රණ ශාලාව Tamil: பண்டாரநாயக்க சர்வதேச மாநாட்டு மண்டபம்) is a convention center located in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Built between 1970 and 1973, the convention centre was a gift from the People's Republic of China in memory of Solomon Ridgeway Dias Bandaranaike, Prime Minister (1956–1959).The construction of the hall was carried out by a joint Sri Lankan and Chinese workforce with a considerable portion of the building materials being imported from China. In 1998 a small Exhibition Centre, the Sirimavo Bandaranaike Memorial Exhibition Centre, was built on the grounds as a gift from China.

The Arcade Independence Square is a shopping complex in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Housed in a group of renovated buildings including the former Jawatta Lunatic Asylum and the former Western Provincial Council Building, it was built as a part of the Independence Square Redevelopment programme initiated by the national government.

The Sri Lanka Sustainable Energy Authority (or SLSEA) is the primary body responsible for the issuance of licenses for sustainable energy developments in Sri Lanka. In addition to being the key licence provider, it is also the organization responsible for promoting renewable energy and sustainable developments in the country.

The Engineering Council of Sri Lanka is Sri Lanka's regulatory authority for registration of engineering practitioners. It was formed under the Engineering Council Act No 4 of 2017. Engineering Council Act was passed by the Parliament of Sri Lanka with the support of Eng. Champika Ranawaka All engineering practitioners in Sri Lanka needs to be registered with the engineering council to practice. Failing to do so would result in an offence and can be convicted by a summary trial before a Magistrate with imprisonment period not exceeding one year and/or a fine not exceeding one hundred thousand.

Liveramentu Cemetery, also locally known as Jawatta Cemetery or the Torrington Cemetery, is a large municipal cemetery, located approximately 1.5 km (0.93 mi) from the Colombo city centre, on Torrington Avenue. It is also the largest Commonwealth war cemetery in Sri Lanka. It is one of the six Commonwealth war cemeteries in Sri Lanka, and is maintained by the Department of National Botanical Gardens, with funding from the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.The entrance to the cemetery incorporates a memorial wall, commemorating 346 Commonwealth servicemen and one Dutch serviceman who died while serving in Ceylon during the Second World War (1939–1945), whose graves/bodies could not be found. In addition the cemetery contains the Liveramentu Cremation Memorial which commemorates 165 servicemen of the Hindu faith who died while serving in Ceylon, and who were accorded the last rite required by their religion – committal to fire. The memorial is in the form of a stone pylon crowned with a stone urn, with wing walls inscribed with the servicemen's names. The cemetery also has a memorial commemorating 28 Italian prisoners of war who died and were buried in the country between 1939 and 1945. The cemetery is situated on the site of a Portuguese church, Chapel of Nossa Senhora do Livramento, dedicated to the Virgin Mary, the Virgin of Good Deliverance, from which it derives its name. The church was a well known Marian shrine, with a well whose waters were alleged to perform miracles. The church was subsequently destroyed by the Dutch. The site was declared a protected archaeological site on 8 July 2005.

The Cathedral of Christ the Living Saviour is located in Cinnamon Gardens (Colombo 07) a suburb of Colombo, Sri Lanka. It is the primary Anglican cathedral, affiliated to the Church of Ceylon.The decision to build the Anglican cathedral in Colombo, to replace the old cathedral in Mutwal, was initiated by Bishop Harold de Soysa, the first Ceylonese Anglican Bishop of Colombo. It was designed by P. H. Wilson Peiris (architect of the Cathedral of Christ the King, Kurunegala) and the architect of the structure was Tom Neville Wynne-Jones CBE (architect of the Independence Memorial Hall). The construction was undertaken by the firm of U. N. Gunasekera.The foundation stone for the cathedral was laid on 28 October 1968 by Bishop Harold de Soysa. The construction was subsequently overseen by his successor, Bishop Cyril Abeynaike, whose ideas were incorporated into some of the church's features. The cathedral was consecrated on 7 November 1973 and has subsequently been used for all the Church of Ceylon's major religious ceremonies, including the consecration of all the bishops of Ceylon. The cathedral is based on the traditional style of Sri Lanka architecture, in this case the hexagonal form of a Buddhist temple, using modern concrete technology. It is the seat of the Bishop of Colombo.

Mattakkuliya is a suburb in Colombo, Sri Lanka. It is part of an area referred to as Colombo 15.

The Chinese Ambassador to Sri Lanka is the official representative of the People's Republic of China to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.

Indonesia and Sri Lanka established diplomatic relations on 6 August 1952. Both nations share some cultural similarities. Indonesia and Sri Lanka are members of numerous organizations such as the World Trade Organization and Indian-Ocean Rim Association. They are also founding members of the Non-Aligned Movement. Indonesia has an embassy in Colombo, while Sri Lanka has an embassy in Jakarta. Regarding the LTTE separatism in Sri Lanka, Indonesia has expressed their support on Sri Lankan territorial integrity and national unity. Indonesia also supports the national reconciliation process in Sri Lanka towards peace and stability.

The National Film Corporation of Sri Lanka (NFC) (Sinhala: ශ්‍රී ලංකා ජාතික චිත්‍රපට සංස්ථාව) is a state-owned entity established to regulate, promote, and develop the film industry in Sri Lanka. Founded under the National Film Corporation of Sri Lanka Act No. 47 of 1971 and amended by Act No. 45 of 1980, the NFC serves as the primary authority for overseeing film production, distribution, and exhibition in the country. Headquartered in Colombo, the corporation plays a pivotal role in fostering the growth of Sri Lankan cinema, managing foreign film productions, and supporting local filmmakers.

Independence Memorial Museum in Colombo, Sri Lanka is located in the basement of the Independence Memorial Hall, Independence Square (formally Torrington Square) in the Cinnamon Gardens. It is maintained by the Department of National Museum. The museum was established with the objective honouring national heroes who were instrumental in the country gaining independence from the British Rule. The Museum has a series of busts, display boards depicting the names, images and information of the political leaders, clergy and the lay patriots who were at the centre of the struggle for independence.
