Livermore Valley Charter Preparatory (LVCP) was a California Public Charter High School located at 3090 Independence Dr. in Livermore, California. Established in 2010, the school was authorized by the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District (LVJUSD). This school is now defunct as a result of the bankruptcy of its parent charter management operator Tri-Valley Learning Corporation (TVLC) resulting after the completion of an AB139 Extraordinary Audit ordered by Alameda County Office of Education (ACOE) and performed by FCMAT. Apparent conflicts of interest and fiscal problems were identified along with the default of $57M of loans.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2017–2021 categorized it as a regional reliever facility.The airport has no scheduled airline service; the closest commercial airports are Oakland International Airport and San Jose International Airport. In the 1976-1977 OAG the regional airline California Air Commuter had scheduled service listed at Livermore, using Piper Navajos.

Cornerstone Fellowship is a non-denominational, multi-site Christian church serving the East Bay area of San Francisco, US. In 2020 the church had five physical locations in Livermore, Brentwood, Hayward, in Walnut Creek, and Danville, California. The church reports that every week, about 10,000 people join one of their services either in person or online.

Isabel station is a planned railway station in Livermore, California. It is expected to open in 2028 as a stop for Valley Link. The station's parking lot and bus bays are located on the north side of East Airway Boulevard while the platforms and rails are located in the median strip of Interstate 580 just east of Isabel Avenue.The station was initially envisioned as being served by Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) with an extension of the Dublin/Pleasanton line. In July 2011, the Livermore City Council voted to favor that stations be built at the Interstate 580 interchanges with Isabel Avenue and Greenville Road rather than downtown, as had been planned. The BART board voted against constructing any eastward extension in May 2018, thus granting the new Tri-Valley-San Joaquin Valley Regional Rail Authority oversight and funding for construction of a new rail service. Isabel station was integrated into the new plans.

Hagemann Ranch Historic District is a 19th-century historic district containing a farmhouse and ranch located in Livermore, California. Within the district, the agricultural past in Livermore Valley can be remembered. It is owned and managed by the Livermore Heritage Guild, and is open to the public once a month.The Hagemann Ranch Historic District has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since January 10, 2008; and a California Historical Landmark since January 10, 2008.

Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District (LVJUSD) is a public school district located in Livermore, California, United States. It is located in Alameda County. As of July 2023, the superintendent is Chris van Schaak.In addition to Livermore, it includes a portion of Dublin and a very small portion of Pleasanton.The district operates 19 schools: nine elementary (K–5) schools, three middle (6-8) schools, two K-8 schools, two comprehensive high schools and three alternative high schools. There previously were also two charter schools in the area, one K-8 and one high school, both operated by the Tri-Valley Learning Corporation, a local 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization founded by parents and teachers.

Arroyo Las Positas is a 7.4-mile-long (11.9 km) westward-flowing watercourse in Alameda County, California, which begins at the confluence of Arroyo Seco and Cayetano Creek north of Livermore, and empties into Arroyo Mocho in Dublin, California.

The 1980 Livermore earthquake occurred on January 24 at 11:00 PST in California. The epicenter of the 5.8 Mw earthquake was a hilly area 12 km (7.5 mi) southeast of Mount Diablo and north of Livermore Valley. The earthquake had a maximum Modified Mercalli intensity of VII (Very strong). Forty four people were injured and damage across the San Francisco Bay Area totaled $11.5 million, with the majority inflicted at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.

Shadow Cliffs Regional Recreation Area is a regional park on the border of Pleasanton and Livermore, California, that is part of the East Bay Regional Parks (EBRP) system. Its lake, once a gravel pit, has a sandy beach and is used for swimming, fishing, and recreational boating. The park once featured water slides, which were closed in 2011 and have since been taken down, and are planned to be replaced by an Interpretive Center. The park is also a popular picnic ground.

Emerald High School is a four-year high school in the Dublin Unified School District in Dublin, California, USA. The school opened to students for the 2023–2024 school year, and in August 2024 classes began on its own campus, scheduled for completion in 2026.
