St Peter's Church, Birkdale

The Church of St Teresa of Avila in Everton Road, Birkdale, Southport, Sefton, Merseyside, England, is an active Roman Catholic church in the diocese of Liverpool. It was built in 1897–98 and designed by the architectural partnership of James Sinnott, Bernard Sinnott & Daniel Powell. The church, together with its attached presbytery, is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building.

The British Lawnmower Museum is a museum dedicated to the history of the lawnmowers in Southport, Merseyside, northern England.The museum has over 300 restored exhibits of garden machinery from over the last 200 years, as well as a collection of lawnmowers previously owned by famous people including Prince Charles and Princess Diana, guitarist Brian May, performer and presenter Paul O'Grady, and Coronation Street actress Jean Alexander, who lived in Southport for many years. The museum has workshops that restore lawnmowers for the collection and others around the world. The collection includes patents and blueprints dating from 1799.

The proportion of students known to be eligible for free school meals is below the national average and the number of students from minority ethnic groups is higher than the average highschool in the United Kingdom but few students speak English as an additional language.

It was built between 1856 and 1857, and later extended. One of its former vicars was Revd Marcus Morris, the founder of the comic the Eagle. The first recorded match on the ground was in 1956, when the Lancashire Second XI played Cheshire in the Minor Counties Championship.In 1959, the ground held its first first-class match when Lancashire played Worcestershire in the County Championship. From 1959 to 2017, the ground played host to 44 first-class matches, the last of which came in the 2017 County Championship between Lancashire and Middlesex.The ground has also held List-A matches, the first of which saw Lancashire play Glamorgan in the 1969 Player's County League. From 1969 to 1987, the ground held 4 List-A matches, the last of which saw Lancashire play Scotland in the 1987 Benson and Hedges Cup.With the first recorded match on the ground in 1956 involving the Lancashire Second XI, the ground has since held a combined total of 25 Second XI fixtures for the Lancashire Second XI in the Minor Counties Championship, Second XI Championship and Second XI Trophy.In local domestic cricket, the ground is the home venue of Southport & Birkdale Cricket Club. who play in the Liverpool & District Cricket Competition. In February 2016, the Club signed a three year staging agreement with Lancashire to host county cricket, which is believed to be the first of its kind in England and Wales.

The Lifeboat Memorial, Southport, occupies a central position in Southport Cemetery, Cemetery Road, Southport, Merseyside, England. It commemorates the death of 27 lifeboatmen from Southport and St Annes who were lost in the attempt to rescue the crew of the German barque Mexico that had been driven into a sandbank in a gale in 1886. The memorial is in the form of a tomb chest on a tall plinth with carving and inscribed panels. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building.
