Its building started in 1870, and additions were made in 1886–87 and in 1907. The church is in Gothic Revival style, and it is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building.

The British Lawnmower Museum is a museum dedicated to the history of the lawnmowers in Southport, Merseyside, northern England.The museum has over 300 restored exhibits of garden machinery from over the last 200 years, as well as a collection of lawnmowers previously owned by famous people including Prince Charles and Princess Diana, guitarist Brian May, performer and presenter Paul O'Grady, and Coronation Street actress Jean Alexander, who lived in Southport for many years. The museum has workshops that restore lawnmowers for the collection and others around the world. The collection includes patents and blueprints dating from 1799.

The school was originally built to be temporary, however it is still standing after over fifty years and has approximately 1200 pupils ranging from 11 to 18 years old. CTK is larger than the average secondary school. The proportion of students known to be eligible for free school meals is below the national average and the number of students from minority ethnic groups is higher than the average highschool in the United Kingdom but few students speak English as an additional language.

The Lifeboat Memorial, Southport, occupies a central position in Southport Cemetery, Cemetery Road, Southport, Merseyside, England. It commemorates the death of 27 lifeboatmen from Southport and St Annes who were lost in the attempt to rescue the crew of the German barque Mexico that had been driven into a sandbank in a gale in 1886. The memorial is in the form of a tomb chest on a tall plinth with carving and inscribed panels. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building.

Southport & District Reform Synagogue, also known as Sha'arei Shalom ("Gates of Peace"), is a Reform Jewish congregation at the corner of Princes Street and Portland Street, Southport, in the Metropolitan Borough of Sefton, Merseyside, England. The congregation was formed in 1948 as Southport New Synagogue and has been associated with the Movement for Reform Judaism since 1949. It celebrated its 70th anniversary in 2018.The synagogue publishes a newsletter, L'Chayim.

It was the terminus of the Southport & Cheshire Lines Extension Railway from Liverpool. The station closed in 1952, the building was subsequently used as a bus station and later a supermarket. It is now a hotel.
