Electoral district of Stanley Boroughs (NSW Legislative Council)

The Electoral district of County of Stanley was an electorate of the New South Wales Legislative Council at a time when some of its members were elected and the balance were appointed by the Governor. It was a new electorate created in 1851 by the expansion of the Legislative Council to 54 members, with 18 to be appointed and 36 elected. The previous district of Counties of Gloucester, Macquarie, and Stanley was split into the districts of Gloucester & Macquarie, Stanley and Stanley Boroughs, which included North Brisbane, South Brisbane, Kangaroo Point and Ipswich.In 1856 the unicameral Legislative Council was abolished and replaced with an elected Legislative Assembly and an appointed Legislative Council. The district was represented by the Legislative Assembly electorate of Electoral district of Stanley County.

Stanley County was an electoral district for the Legislative Assembly in the Colony of New South Wales created in 1856 election, named after and including County of Stanley (part of Queensland after 1859), except for the towns of North Brisbane, South Brisbane, Kangaroo Point and Ipswich, which were in Stanley Boroughs. It was abolished in 1859 and replaced with East Moreton and West Moreton.

Ironside State School is a heritage-listed state school at 378 Swann Road, St Lucia, City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It was built from 1935 to 1959. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 27 July 2018.

The St Lucia Presbyterian Church is a heritage-listed church at 7 Hawken Drive, St Lucia, City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Built in 1952, it was designed by Ronald Martin Wilson trading as R. Martin Wilson, Architect and Architectural Engineers (Firm Job Number: 856). The church was originally commissioned for the St Lucia congregation of Presbyterians, subsequently becoming the property of the Uniting Church of Australia. This church was the first substantial commission awarded to R. Martin Wilson after World War II. It is listed on the Brisbane Heritage Register.

Vida and Jayne Lahey's House is a heritage-listed detached house at 99 Sir Fred Schonell Drive, St Lucia, City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It was designed by Romeo Lahey and built from 1920 to 1946. It is also known as Wonga Wallen. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 21 October 1992.

Langer House is a heritage-listed detached house at 396 Swann Road, St Lucia, City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It was designed by architect Karl Langer as his own home and built in 1950. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 21 October 1992.

Guyatt Park ferry wharf is located on the southern side of the Brisbane River serving the Brisbane suburb of St Lucia in Queensland, Australia. It is served by RiverCity Ferries' CityCat services.

The University of Queensland Australian Football Club (UQAFC) is an amateur Australian rules football club playing in the QFA Division 1, Division 4 and QAFLW League competitions, overseen by AFL Queensland. UQAFC home games are played at the University of Queensland's Playing Field 2, on the corner of Sir William MacGregor Drive and Thynne Road, St Lucia, Brisbane. Founded in 1956, the club collected the Red Lions moniker in reference to a pub in the Northern New South Wales town of Glencoe. After travelling to Armidale to compete against the University of New England for the Clem Jones Shield UQ would frequent the Red Lion Tavern on their return journey, giving birth to the Red Lion legend. The UQAFC has since won seven Senior premierships, including a "threepeat" in 1961, 1962 & 1963. Red Lion Reserve Grade sides have claimed twelve premiership victories many of which came during extended periods of dominance through the 1980s and more recently in the new millennium. The club has a built unique heritage with its large student membership and strong old boys network resulting in a very social club atmosphere and it is very proud to cater to footballers of all abilities. Currently with eight teams and approximately 250 registered players, the Red Lions are regarded as one of the largest amateur Australian rules football club in Queensland.

The Fulton Residence is a heritage-listed detached house at 209 Indooroopilly Road, Taringa, City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It was designed by Charles William Thomas Fulton for his own use and was built in 1940. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 27 October 2000.

The Queensland Theological College (QTC) is a theological college in Queensland, Australia. Based in Brisbane, it is the training college of the Presbyterian Church of Queensland and takes a Reformed Evangelical or Reformed Protestant stance. The college was established in 1876 and has been known as the Presbyterian Theological Hall, the Reformed College of Ministries and the Consortium of Reformed Colleges. It adopted its current name in 2006. The current principal is Gary Millar, who succeeded Bruce W. Winter in 2012. Millar is also the chairman of The Gospel Coalition Australia (TGCA). Other full-time lecturers at QTC include Andrew Bain (Church History), Mark Baddeley (Systematic Theology), Douglas Green (Old Testament), Nick Brennan (New Testament) and Wesley Redgen (New Testament and Greek) QTC is a member institution of the Australian College of Theology.

St Lucia is a riverside suburb in the City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. In the 2016 census St Lucia had a population of 12,574 people. The University of Queensland is the main attraction of St Lucia, with the university, and residential colleges covering a large proportion of the suburb. St Lucia is home to a diverse range of people and families. Typically, the student population of St Lucia is high, especially in dwellings in the immediate vicinity of the university, but the suburb is also home to wealthy professionals and families.

International House (commonly abbreviated as IH) is a residential college situated on the St Lucia campus of the University of Queensland. IH provides fully catered accommodation for 200 undergraduate students, and self-catered accommodation for 38 postgraduate and mature-aged undergraduate students. Residents who live at IH are affectionately known around campus as 'Housies'.International House's residents are 25% Australian and 75% international students from approximately 35 different countries. International House states that it provides a supportive and safe environment while offering opportunities that allow a broad and rich educational, social and cultural experience. The current director of International House is Dr Carla Tromans, and the current IH student club president is Charlotte Dawson (2022).
