Coddle Creek Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, Session House and Cemetery is a historic Associate Reformed Presbyterian church located near Mooresville in Iredell County, North Carolina, United States. The first church building was constructed in 1753 and destroyed by fire in 1839. Its replacement was destroyed by fire in 1884 and the current structure was built. The church building is a one-story, three bay by five bay, Late Italianate style frame building. It features an entrance tower with louvered vents, four cross gables with wooden finials at peak, and bracketed eaves. Also on the property is the contributing session house, built about 1884, and the church cemetery with about 250 gravestones.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

The station is licensed to the northern suburb of Statesville, North Carolina Owned by iHeartMedia, its transmitter is located in Mooresville, North Carolina, and its studios are located in the 2100 building in Charlotte's south end district. WKKT broadcasts in the HD Radio format; the HD2 subchannel formerly carried a children's radio format known as "Kids Club Radio", mixing contemporary pop hits with music from popular kids shows and movies; while it remains on the iHeartRadio app (now as "iHeartFamily Kids Club Radio"), the subchannel has since been turned off.In the Boone area, WKKT is subject to co-channel interference from WXBQ-FM, licensed to Bristol, Virginia. The transmitters of the two stations are less than 100 miles apart, and WXBQ broadcasts with an effective radiated power of 75,000 watts.

Gen. William H. Kerr House is a historic home located on Deal Road (formerly Beatties Ford Road), near Enochville, Rowan County, North Carolina. The house was built between 1817 and 1820, and is a two-story, three-bay, Federal style frame dwelling. It has a rebuilt front porch and one-story ell and shed dating to the late 1930s. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.William Kerr, of Scots-Irish descent, was a member of the Rowan County Militia and in December 1817 he became colonel of the 7th Brigade of the North Carolina Militia. In 1827 Kerr was promoted to the rank of brigadier general of the 7th Brigade. He was born in 1778 (probably in VA), died in 1844 (while living at the above dwelling), and is buried at Centre Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Mooresville, Iredell County, North Carolina.

Beaver Dam Plantation House is a historic plantation house located near Davidson, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. It was built in 1829, and is a two-story, four-bay, single pile Federal style dwelling. It has gable roof, brick exterior end chimneys, and a one-story, full-width, shed roof porch. It was the home of William Lee Davidson, Jr., son of William Lee Davidson and the people he enslaved to work the plantation. It was also the site of the committee meeting of the Concord Presbytery in April 1835, during which the location of Davidson College was determined.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

It includes Greek Revival and Federal architectural elements.A number of its features, including a distinctive fireplace mantel, are documented in a North Carolina State University collection. The Johnson-Neel House is also attributed to Stirewalt, due in part to its having a similar mantelpiece (and is also NRHP-listed).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.

By the requirements of the North Carolina Constitution of 1868, the counties were divided into townships, including sixteen in Iredell County. Part of the town of Mooresville is within Coddle Creek Township.

Woodlawn School is a private independent school in Mooresville, North Carolina in Iredell County, north of Davidson, North Carolina. Founded in 2002, it has 227 students in grades Pre-K through 12. The Head of School is Holly Honeycutt, who joined Woodlawn's staff in 2015. Woodlawn was accredited in 2009 by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and the Southern Association of Independent Schools and was re-accredited in 2014.

Wood Lawn, also known as Woodlawn, is a plantation house built in 1836 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Located near Mount Mourne, Iredell County, North Carolina 1-mile (1.6 km) north of Davidson, North Carolina, the house was built about 1840 and is an example of the Federal-Greek Revival style of architecture often built in the Piedmont area during this period. The house was built by Dr. George Washington Stinson, one of the first trustees of Davidson College, which was founded in 1837.

The Carolina Renaissance Festival is a 25 acre renaissance themed amusement park. The festival is set in a fictional storybook village of "Fairhaven". The open air village and artisan marketplace contain permanent cottages and bungalows based on 16th century European architecture. Sixteen outdoor stages are used for comedy theater, dance, and circus-like entertainments. Featured, live-action shows include knights on horseback (who joust three times daily); presentations of the art of falconry; and live swimming mermaids. The festival is held annually on Saturdays and Sundays in October and November. An average of 195,000 visitors a year attend the festival during its Fall season.
