Little Aston Golf Club

Little Aston Hall is a Georgian country house in Little Aston, Staffordshire, England. The original hall building is Grade II listed. It was constructed around 1730 by Richard Scott of nearby Great Barr Hall, in a Georgian style with a park and lake. The house was restyled by architect James Wyatt for William Tennant in the early 19th century. It was enlarged and improved at a reputed cost of £35,000 in 1857 by Hon Edward Swynfen Parker Jervis, younger son of Edward Jervis Jervis, 2nd Viscount St Vincent and great nephew of Admiral of the Fleet John Jervis, 1st Earl of St Vincent, the naval hero of the 1797 Battle of Cape St Vincent. In the early 20th century the hall had a number of owners and in 1925 the estate of over 1,500 acres (6.1 km2) was broken up. The hall was sold to Harry Scribbans with only 118 acres (0.48 km2) and the remaining land was sold at auction piecemeal. Unoccupied from 1950, the house became the Midlands regional headquarters of Esso in 1954, later the Head Office of Birfield Ltd. In 1966 it was acquired by GKN. In 1984 the site was redeveloped. The original hall was converted into seven superior residential apartments, whilst retaining its external appearance. In addition seven new modern style double blocks each of six apartments were built in the grounds overlooking the lake, giving 49 apartments, most occupied by retirees. Further development of eight large detached houses known as Lakeside occurred alongside the apartments. In the 2000s around 100 apartments known as Lady Aston Park exclusively for the over 55s were built. A BUPA residential care home and private BUPA hospital followed.

Little Aston is a village in Staffordshire, England. It is located within the Lichfield District and is approximately 5 miles (8 km) south of the city of Lichfield. Formerly a separate settlement, it is in modern times contiguous with the built-up area of the neighbouring town of Sutton Coldfield. At the 2011 United Kingdom census the population of Little Aston ward was 2,920 people living in 1,104 households. At the last UK census there were 935 homes in the village, well over 10% of which were multimillion-pound properties, and the village is known for its footballers and successful businesspeople.

Streetly railway station is a disused station on the Midland Railway in England. It was opened in 1879 and closed in 1965, although the track through the station is still in use for freight. It was located on the corner of Foley Road and Thornhill Road. There was a booking office and a ladies' waiting room located on the Birmingham-bound platform, whilst the Walsall-bound platform had a signal box upon it.

Hill Hook is an area of Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham, England. The area includes Hill Hook Local Nature Reserve, declared in 2003 with an area of 5.65 hectares, which is on the site of a watermill built in the 17th century. An earlier dam showed the extent of the original mill pool, which was enlarged in 1767. The nature reserve, known locally as 'The Meddies' or 'The Mill Pond' was substantially built upon from the early 1980s onwards, although small parts remain untouched. The Friends of Hill Hook, a local group of The Wildlife Trust for Birmingham and the Black Country work alongside the Council ranger Service to care for the site. It is close to Four Oaks and Little Aston and is approximately one mile from Sutton Park. The area is served by Blake Street railway station, and is served by National Express West Midlands routes 604 and X3. Midland Classic of Burton previously operated an hourly X12 service between Burton and Sutton Coldfield, however this was cut to terminate at Lichfield and subsequently the X3 extended to Lichfield half hourly to cover this gap. Prior to the X12, for many years Stevensons of Uttoxeter operated service 112 which ran between Birmingham and Burton-upon-Trent and which also served Blake Street railway station.

Blake Street railway station serves the Hill Hook area of Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham, England. It is situated on the Cross-City Line, located on the county boundary between the West Midlands and Staffordshire. The station is managed by West Midlands Trains, who operate all trains serving it.

Streetly is an area in the county of West Midlands, England which lies around 7 miles (11 km) to the north of Birmingham City Centre. It is uniquely located within the borders of Birmingham, Lichfield and Walsall district authorities, and is part of the West Midlands conurbation. It is adjacent to, New Oscott, Great Barr, Four Oaks, Little Aston and Aldridge. Streetly is a semi-rural district, lying close to many farms and is separated from Walsall by open fields and the North Birmingham green belt. The local area includes Sutton Park of which Streetly has its own dedicated gate. Streetly is part of the Birmingham Metropolitan Area and the Birmingham Urban Area. Bus services provide links to Birmingham, Walsall and Sutton Coldfield. Most are operated by National Express West Midlands. The area was served by trains on the Sutton Park Line. However while the line remains open for freight, Streetly railway station closed in 1965 and the nearest station now is in Four Oaks railway station on the opposite side of Sutton Park.

All Saints' Church, Four Oaks is a Grade II* listed Church of England parish church in Birmingham.

Butlers Lane railway station serves the northern part of the Four Oaks district of Sutton Coldfield, England. It is situated on the Cross-City Line. The station, and all trains calling there are operated by West Midlands Trains.

The Streetly Academy (formerly known as The Streetly School) is a large co-educational secondary school in Streetly, West Midlands, England, on the border of Birmingham and Walsall local authorities. It was established in 1961. In December 2012, the school was ranked as “Good” by OFSTED and became the first school in England to move from "Satisfactory" to "Outstanding" in 3 years under the new, more challenging framework introduced in 2012. In 2019, after an Ofsted inspection, the school was given a "Needs to improve". In 2014 Streetly was designated a National Teaching School, known as The Sutton Park Teaching School. It is also a National Support School.The current headteacher is Billy Downie, a National Leader of Education. Previous headteachers include Debbie Hunton, Pat Walters (interim head) and David Binnie. Notable former students include swimmer Tully Kearney, who won gold for Great Britain at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics and Connie Talbot, an English singer who was the runner-up of the first series of Britain's Got Talent in 2007.

The Arthur Terry School is a secondary school and sixth form with academy status in the Four Oaks area of Sutton Coldfield, England. It is Ofsted Outstanding and was an Arts College before the Specialist Schools initiative was made defunct. The school's headteacher is Samantha Kibble. It is part of the Arthur Terry Learning Partnership.

The Sutton Coldfield transmitting station is a broadcasting and telecommunications facility located in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham England. In terms of population covered, it is the third most important transmitter in the UK, after Crystal Palace in London and Winter Hill near Bolton.

Four Oaks is an affluent residential area in Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands, lying along the north and east borders of Sutton Park. Four Oaks is situated approximately 7+1⁄2 miles (12.1 km) north of Birmingham City Centre, and is bordered by Sutton Park, Streetly, Mere Green, Little Aston, Roughley and Aldridge. Four Oaks has a population of 21,690 as of 2004, and is part of the Sutton Four Oaks electoral ward.
