Stanley Park is a neighbourhood of the West End in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It is designated as the area lying between Denman Street and the boundary of Stanley Park proper. It is high density, like most of the West End, and is known for being a more affluent area of the West End and, once away from Denman Street, also one of the quietest on the downtown peninsula. Condominium properties facing the park are some of the most expensive in the city. The extreme southwest of the area overlaps with the English Bay neighbourhood.

Denman Arena was an indoor arena located in downtown Vancouver, British Columbia. The arena was located at 1805 West Georgia Street at the northwest corner with Denman Street. It opened in December 1911 and was destroyed by fire in 1936. Its primary use was for ice sports such as ice hockey. It was the home ice rink of the Vancouver Millionaires professional ice hockey team, and was the location of 1915 Stanley Cup championships. The arena was also used for other sports, musical performances and public assemblies. It was an assembly point for Canadian servicemen during World War I. The 10,500 seat arena was the largest in Canada at the time, and introduced mechanically frozen or "artificial" ice to Canada.

Consulate General of Indonesia in Vancouver (Indonesian: Konsulat Jenderal Republik Indonesia di Vancouver) is Indonesia's diplomatic mission in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The consulate general provides consular services to Indonesians and foreigners in the provinces of British Columbia and Alberta, and the territories of Yukon and the Northwest Territories. The Consulate General's mission is to enhance economic relations in trade, investment, and tourism, and also to develop better interactions in all areas including information, social culture, and consular affairs between the Republic of Indonesia and all areas of its accreditation. As the representative of the government of Indonesia, the Consulate General also has the responsibility to protect and to provide assistance to Indonesian citizens in its accreditation areas. The building is situated at 1630 Alberni Street, Vancouver, British Columbia.

Aerodynamic Forms in Space is a 2010 sculpture by Rodney Graham located at the Georgia Street entrance to Stanley Park in Vancouver, Canada. The work was commissioned by the City of Vancouver for the 2010 Winter Olympics. The inspiration for the sculpture was photos Graham took in 1977 of misassembled toy glider parts. The sculpture depicts airplane parts abstractly placed and painted to look like balsa wood.

Liliget Feast House and Catering was a former restaurant in the West End neighbourhood of Vancouver, British Columbia that specialized in Pacific Northwest Indigenous cuisine. Owned and operated by Dolly Watts beginning in 1995, Liliget Feast House closed down in 2007, after 12 years of operation. Liliget succeeded Muckamuck Restaurant and Quilicum, Indigenous restaurants which both occupied the 1724 Davie Street location that Liliget was in. Identified as among the first restaurants that featured the cuisine of the Indigenous communities of the Pacific Northwest, historians Tabitha Robin, Mary Kate Dennis, and Michael Anthony Hart listed Liliget Feast House, among others, as part of the legacy of restaurants within the Canadian Indigenous culinary experience.

English Bay is a neighbourhood in the West End of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Though not formally defined, it is a commonly used local appellation that refers to the shopping and residential areas focused on the intersection of Denman and Davie Streets near at English Bay Beach. Generally, the term refers to the first few blocks of residential areas flanking the beach from Stanley Park to Sunset Beach, and to the commercial areas along Davie Street, and along Denman Street south of Nelson Street.

The Roedde House Museum is a late-Victorian home located at 1415 Barclay Street in Vancouver, Canada. It was the home of Gustav Roedde and his family. The house was built in 1893 and was allegedly designed by architect Francis Rattenbury in the Queen Anne Revival style. After having been a rooming house for years, the house was restored and refurnished in the 1980s and has been open to the public as a museum since 1990.

The West End is a neighbourhood in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, located between the Coal Harbour neighbourhood and the financial and central business districts of Downtown Vancouver to the east, Stanley Park to the northwest, the English Bay to the west, and Kitsilano to the southwest across the False Creek opening. The West End is not to be confused with the West Side (which denotes the western half of the non-downtown part of Vancouver city to the south) or West Vancouver ("West Van"), a separate municipality (conversely, and to the confusion of some, "East Van", "the East End", and "the East Side" all denote East Vancouver). The definition of the "official neighbourhood" of the West End, according to the city, is the area west of Burrard Street, east of Lost Lagoon, and south of West Georgia Street. Historically the term originated and remains used by Vancouverites to refer to everything from Burrard Street to Stanley Park, including the Stanley Park Neighbourhood west of Denman Street and the Coal Harbour Neighbourhood. Coal Harbour Neighbourhood is officially designated as west of Burrard and to the north of West Georgia, although the newly built areas between West Pender Street and the waterfront are expressly "Coal Harbour" and not considered part of the West End.

The Sylvia Hotel is a historic Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada landmark. Located at 1154 Gilford Street on English Bay near Stanley Park. Constructed in 1912, the Sylvia was designed as an apartment building by Mr. W.P. White, a Seattle architect. It was built by Booker, Campbell and Whipple Construction Company for a Mr. Goldstein, who had a daughter named Sylvia. During the Depression the Sylvia Court Apartments fell on hard times, and in 1936 the building was converted into an apartment hotel. With the advent of World War II, many of the suites were converted to rooms, to provide accommodation for crews of the merchant marine. After the war the number of permanent residents in the hotel gradually decreased, until by the sixties the Sylvia had become a completely transient full-service hotel. In 1954 it opened the first cocktail bar in Vancouver. Until 1958 the Sylvia Hotel was the tallest building in the West End – a well-known landmark, its brick and terracotta extension softened by the Boston Ivy that now completely covers the Gilford Street side of the hotel. Until superseded by the West-End building boom of the 1960s, the hotel restaurant's slogan was "Dine in the Sky". In 1975 the Sylvia was designated by the City of Vancouver as a "heritage building", thereby ensuring its survival for many years to come. The famous Sylvia Hotel cat, "Mr. Got To Go", has inspired three popular children's books by Lois Simmie and illustrated by Cynthia Nugent. They are engaging tales of the stray cat who arrived at the Sylvia Hotel one day, took control of the premises and decided to check in permanently. A feline resident – possibly the same cat – is mentioned in a song about the hotel by American folk singer-songwriter Cheryl Wheeler.
