Newsham Park in Liverpool, England is a 121 acres (49 ha) Victorian. To the east of it is the Canada Dock branch railway line, and to the north is West Derby Road. The park is protected as a Grade II* listed site.

Anfield is a suburb of Liverpool, England, in the Liverpool City Council ward of Anfield. Historically in Lancashire, it is part of the Liverpool Walton Parliamentary constituency. The population of the Liverpool Ward at the time of the 2011 census was 14,510. The area has been home to the football club Liverpool F.C. ever since the club's founding in 1892. The club's home stadium, Anfield, has been located there since its founding in 1884. As of September 2019, it is ranked the 10th most deprived ward in the United Kingdom.

Lower Breck Football Club is a football club based in Anfield, Liverpool, England. They are currently members of the North West Counties League Premier Division and play at the Anfield Sports and Community Centre. The team was founded in 2010.

Newsham Park Hospital is a grade II listed building in Liverpool, Merseyside, England (grid reference SJ379920). It now lies derelict but was previously a hospital prior to which it was the Liverpool Seamen's Orphan Institution.

The International Exhibition of Navigation, Commerce and Industry in Liverpool, England, was opened by Queen Victoria on 11 May 1886. The fair was held in Antwerp's exhibition hall which was transported for the exhibition and erected alongside Wavertree Botanic Gardens. Additional attractions were the chance to visit the SS Great Eastern, and to see a lifesize copy of the Eddystone Lighthouse and the rowing boat in which Grace Darling and her father rescued stranded occupants of a wrecked ship. Exhibitions from parts of the British Empire outside the United Kingdom included an African village, 50 "natives of Indian and Ceylon", camel and elephant rides, and a Canadian toboggan ride It was followed in 1887 by the Royal Jubilee Exhibition also in Liverpool.

The Royal Jubilee Exhibition, Liverpool, was held in Liverpool in 1887 on the occasion of the Golden Jubilee of Queen Victoria, on the site of the previous year's International Exhibition, now Wavertree Botanic Garden and Park. It had a theme of the Arts of Peace and War.

The Littlewoods Pools building, located in Liverpool, England, was built in 1938 to serve as the headquarters of the Littlewoods football pools enterprise. It overlooks Edge Lane and Wavertree Botanic Park, and its design makes it a prominent landmark. The building was requistioned by the government during World War II to house the postal censorship department, and was later used for the manufacture of floors for Halifax bombers. After returning to Littlewoods' ownership, the site was eventually closed in 1994, and now stands empty. A fire in 2018 caused damage to a large part of the interior. However, plans are underway to convert the building into a film studio, which will be tenanted by Twickenham Studios and Liverpool John Moores University.

Kensington is an inner city area of Liverpool, England, immediately to the east of the city centre, bordered by Everton to the north, Fairfield to the east and Edge Hill to the south. The majority of Kensington is in the Kensington and Fairfield ward, while the westernmost part, Kensington Fields, is in the Central ward. At the 2001 Census, Kensington had a population of 12,740.

Wavertree Botanic Garden and Park is a mid-19th century public park in Liverpool, England. Originally constructed as a private botanic garden, it was taken over by Liverpool Corporation in 1846 and expanded into a public park. The park is Grade II* listed in the Register of Historic Parks and Gardens.

Tue Brook railway station was located on the north side of West Derby Road, Tuebrook, Liverpool, England, opposite Newsham Park on the Canada Dock Branch.

Wavertree Road Ground was a cricket ground in Liverpool, Lancashire. The first recorded match on the ground was in 1847, when Liverpool played Birkenhead Park.In 1859, the ground held its first first-class match when the Gentlemen of the North played the Gentlemen of the South. The next first-class match held on the ground came in 1863 when the North played the South. Lancashire played a single first-class match there in 1866 against Surrey. The final first-class match there came in 1872 when the North played the South.The final recorded match held on the ground came in 1880 when Wavertree played the Gentlemen of Canada. Shortly after this match the ground was sold for development and built over.
