Edge Hill railway works was built by the Liverpool and Manchester Railway around 1830 at Edge Hill, Liverpool. A second was built in 1839 by the Grand Junction Railway adjacent to it.

Edge Hill railway station is a railway station that serves the district of Edge Hill, Liverpool, England and is one of the oldest railway stations in the worldThere have been two stations of that name. Avanti West Coast, East Midlands Railway, TransPennine Express and West Midlands Trains services pass through the station, although, they are non stop.

In 1999 its parish was combined with that of the Church of St Bernard. The church is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building.

The Victoria Tunnel in Liverpool, England is a 1.537 miles (2.474 km) long rail tunnel. Opened in 1849, its eastern portal is adjacent to Edge Hill station. The western portal opens into a short (69 yards or 63 metres) cutting, between Byrom Street and Fontenoy Street, the shorter Waterloo Tunnel exits the cutting terminating at Waterloo Dock. The Victoria and Waterloo tunnels are effectively one long tunnel connected by a ventilation cutting. The whole length is generally known as the Waterloo Tunnel.

Wavertree Botanic Garden and Park is a mid-19th century public park in Liverpool, England. Originally constructed as a private botanic garden, it was taken over by Liverpool Corporation in 1846 and expanded into a public park. The park is Grade II* listed in the Register of Historic Parks and Gardens.

The International Exhibition of Navigation, Commerce and Industry in Liverpool, England, was opened by Queen Victoria on 11 May 1886. The fair was held in Antwerp's exhibition hall which was transported for the exhibition and erected alongside Wavertree Botanic Gardens. Additional attractions were the chance to visit the SS Great Eastern, and to see a lifesize copy of the Eddystone Lighthouse and the rowing boat in which Grace Darling and her father rescued stranded occupants of a wrecked ship. Exhibitions from parts of the British Empire outside the United Kingdom included an African village, 50 "natives of Indian and Ceylon", camel and elephant rides, and a Canadian toboggan ride It was followed in 1887 by the Royal Jubilee Exhibition also in Liverpool.

The Royal Jubilee Exhibition, Liverpool, was held in Liverpool in 1887 on the occasion of the Golden Jubilee of Queen Victoria, on the site of the previous year's International Exhibition, now Wavertree Botanic Garden and Park. It had a theme of the Arts of Peace and War.

Edge Lane is a main road running from the periphery of Liverpool city centre at Hall Lane towards the M62 motorway. Edge Lane technically comprises two roads, that of 'Edge Lane' and that of 'Edge Lane Drive' and passes through the districts of Old Swan, Kensington, Wavertree and Edge Hill. It forms part of the A5047. The road appears in historical records from the 16th century and remained rural until houses and streets were constructed along the route during the 19th century. Following a project to widen the road in 2012, numerous properties were demolished to facilitate the route becoming dual carriageway, which in 2008 was described as being one of Merseyside's "biggest traffic bottlenecks" into the city centre as a result of rush hour congestion.There is a large leisure park on the route containing various amenities such as a cinema, bowling alley and fast food outlets.

It is an active Anglican parish church in the diocese of Liverpool, the archdeaconry of Liverpool, and the deanery of Toxteth and Wavertree. The church is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building.

Crown Street Station was a passenger railway terminal station on Crown Street, Liverpool, England. The station was the world's first intercity passenger station, opening in 1830, also being the railway terminal station for Liverpool. Used for passengers for only six years the station was demolished as the site was converted into a goods yard. The goods yard remained in use until 1972. The location of the station is now a park with little trace of the station or goods yard.
