Anfield (suburb)

Richmond Baptist Church is in Breck Road, Liverpool, England. It is a chapel that was built in 1864–65 and was designed by Sir James Picton. The chapel is constructed in common brick with red brick banding and stone dressings. It has a slate roof, is in two storeys, and has round-headed windows containing casements. On the entrance front is a three-bay arcade with Corinthian columns. In the gable above this is a wheel window. Inside the church there are galleries on all four sides carried on fluted cast iron Composite columns. The ceiling is flat and coffered. The west gallery and the space below it is separated from the rest of the chapel by late 20th-century walls. The chapel is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a Grade II listed building, having been designated on 14 March 1975. This grade is the lowest of the three gradings given to listed buildings and is applied to "buildings of national importance and special interest". On 11 February 2015, the building was purchased by Ahmadiyya Muslim Association Liverpool, part of the worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim Association working with the motto "Love for all Hatred for None". The building is currently being used as a mosque for the members of the community living in the area. Richmond Baptist Church is now located at "The House" 27 Oakfield, a short distance from the original chapel. From 2010 to early 2018 the fellowship met at Oakfield Methodist Church. Following an approach from the leadership of the Good News Mission the members of Richmond Baptist Church successfully refurbished the Mission buildings in Oakfield and are a thriving Christian community.

Kitty's Launderette is a not-for-profit worker-community co-operative and social enterprise based in Anfield, near the boundary with Everton, in north Liverpool. It offers affordable laundry and dry cleaning services alongside a community space. Opened on 16 May 2019 in response to local economic pressures and limited access to essential services, it is named after Kitty Wilkinson, an Irish migrant who responded to the 1826-1837 cholera pandemic and went on to pioneer Liverpool's public wash-house movement, helping to establish the UK's first public washhouse. The Launderette is jointly run by member-owners drawn from its staff, customers and the local community, with surplus income reinvested in the organisation. It operates with a flat organisational structure, with staff involved in business decisions and the planning of its community programme. CityChangers reported in 2025 that it employed 12 people, many of whom were under 30, and paid all staff the real Living Wage. It also distributes free laundry vouchers through local food banks and homeless shelters and provides community activities including film screenings and knitting groups. Kitty's Launderette uses environmentally preferable detergents and biodegradable bags, and its washing machines and dryers are powered by electricity from a renewable-energy supplier. The launderette is fitted with Miele washing machines and dryers of different capacities, including equipment used for its wet cleaning WetCare service, an alternative to conventional dry cleaning.

The Grafton Ballroom was an entertainment centre in Liverpool, England that on opened on 9 February 1924. it was a purpose-built dance hall able to accommodate 1,200 dancers. It was built next to the Locarno Ballroom which is now known as the Liverpool Olympia. It has for several years been under the same ownership as the Olympia. Joe Loss, Victor Silvester, Henry Hall, Duke Ellington, Anathema and The Beatles have all played The Grafton. In late September 2008 the Grafton closed as a dance venue, to be refurbished and reopened as a comedy club.

Everton Water Tower is a water tower situated on Margaret Street in Everton, Liverpool. Now surrounded by a modern housing estate it is a Grade II listed building. The water tower is a well-known landmark dating from 1857 and can be seen from most of Liverpool standing at the top of Everton brow.

Grant Gardens, previously Liverpool Necropolis, is a park and former cemetery in Liverpool, United Kingdom. It is named after Alderman J. R. Grant, J.P, chairman of the Corporation Parks and Gardens Committee.The Necropolis opened in 1825, with buildings by John Foster Jr, it closed in 1898 and was transferred to the council who reopened it as a park in 1914.While the memorials and structures above ground have been removed, the graves themselves are intact.

The majority of Kensington is in the Kensington and Fairfield ward, while the westernmost part, Kensington Fields, is in the Central ward. At the 2001 Census, Kensington had a population of 12,740.

Lower Breck Football Club is a football club based in Anfield, Liverpool, England. They are currently members of the North West Counties League Premier Division and play at the Anfield Sports and Community Centre. The team was founded in 2010.

Phillips' Sound Recording Services was a studio in the house of Percy Francis Phillips (1896–1984) and his family at 38 Kensington, Kensington, Liverpool, England. Between the years of 1955 and 1969, Phillips recorded numerous tapes and acetate discs for Liverpool acts, people and businesses in a small room behind the shop his family owned. Phillips first sold bicycles and motorbikes, but later started selling and recharging batteries in a shop in the front room of his house in 1925. After a decline in demand for batteries in the early 1950s, he started selling electrical goods and popular records. In 1955, Phillips set up a recording studio called Phillips' Sound Recording Services. In 1958, The Quarrymen (John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, John 'Duff' Lowe and Colin Hanton) recorded "That'll Be The Day", and "In Spite of All the Danger" in the studio. Other clients included Billy Fury, Ken Dodd, and Marty Wilde. Phillips died in 1984. The Quarrymen recording and the site of the studio were commemorated in 2005, when a Blue Plaque was unveiled by two of The Quarrymen (Lowe and Hanton) on the front of the house.
