Avery Hill

Stationers' Crown Woods Academy is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form with academy status, located in the Eltham area of the Royal Borough of Greenwich in London, England. The school is built upon the land that was formerly King Henry VIII's hunting grounds (hence 'Crown Woods'). As well as pupils from Eltham, the school also attracts pupils from nearby towns Welling and Sidcup. First known as Crown Woods School, the school was founded in 1958. It was reopened in new £50 million buildings designed by Nicholas Hare Architects in 2011 and was renamed Crown Woods College. In 2014 the school was renamed Stationers' Crown Woods Academy after the school gained academy status and joined the Leigh Academies Trust, the first Leigh academy outside Kent. The school also featured in BBC series Tough Young Teachers as two trainee teachers went to the school to learn on the job.

Falconwood railway station is situated in the suburb of Falconwood, London Borough of Bexley, and is served by the Bexleyheath Line. It is 10 miles 27 chains (16.6 km) measured from London Charing Cross. The station was opened much later than the remainder of the line, on 1 January 1936, to serve a growing area. A brick-built ticket office leads down to the cutting in which the station lies. Ticket barriers control access to the platforms.

The Church of Holy Trinity is a Church of England parish church in Eltham, Royal Borough of Greenwich, London. The church is a grade II listed building. It is the location of the Gallipoli Memorial Chapel, which was dedicated in 1917 to those who had died in the Gallipoli Campaign.

Harris Academy Falconwood (formerly Westwood Secondary School and Westwood College) is a city academy in Falconwood, London, England. The school is a mixed gender school and accepts students based on various mental attributes.

New Eltham railway station is in the Royal Borough of Greenwich in south-east London. It is 10 miles 32 chains (16.7 km) down the line from London Charing Cross. It is operated by Southeastern and is in Travelcard Zone 4. It has two platforms: Platform 1 the "up" platform for services to London and Platform 2 the "down" platform, for services towards Kent.

Eltham is a constituency created in 1983 and represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament since 1997 by Clive Efford of the Labour Party.Since 2010, Eltham has been a marginally-held Labour seat. It approximately covers the southern half of the Royal Borough of Greenwich in London.

New Eltham is an area of south east London, in the London Boroughs of Greenwich and Bexley. It lies south east of Eltham and north west of Sidcup.

St Thomas More Catholic School is a mixed Roman Catholic secondary school, located in the Eltham area of the Royal Borough of Greenwich in London, England.The school was first established in 1964, and is supported by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Southwark. Previously a voluntary aided school administered by Greenwich London Borough Council, St Thomas More Catholic School converted to academy status in February 2015. However the school continues to coordinate with Greenwich London Borough Council for admissions. St Thomas More Catholic School offers GCSEs, BTECs and NVQs as programmes of study for pupils. Some courses are delivered in partnership with other schools in Greenwich.

The Wogebourne () is an 8 km (5.0 mi) tributary of the River Thames in the southeast London boroughs of Greenwich and Bexley, that flows generally in a northeasterly direction, from its source in Oxleas Wood in Shooter's Hill, to Thamesmead where it joins the Thames. The Wogebourne has appeared in records since at least the fourteenth century, and has been known by other names including Woghbourne, Plumstead River, and Wickham Valley Watercourse. The upper reaches of the watercourse in Shooter's Hill, Falconwood, Welling, and East Wickham are above ground through woodland, farmland and fields, where several smaller tributaries join; whereas the lower reaches in Plumstead, Abbey Wood, and Thamesmead are mostly underground within culverts. The final part of the river in Thamesmead was previously marshland which was drained in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, where the Wogebourne now completes its course through a man-made lake called Southmere and a purpose-built channel named Crossway Canal which empties into the Thames at Crossness.

The Woodlands Farm Trust is a registered charity that administers the 89-acre Woodlands Urban Farm in Royal Borough of Greenwich, London. The farm was saved by the community from development by house builders in a successful local campaign stretching from 1995 to 1997. It was previously threatened by the Greater London Council plan for the East London river crossing and road scheme which crossed the land and was planned to run through the adjacent ancient forest. The Farm Land is owned by The Co-operative Group a UK consumer co-operative society, but leased to the charity on a 999-year lease at peppercorn rent. The farm is located on Shooter's Hill, situated a vein of protected Metropolitan Open stretching from Eltham to Plumstead and Welling in South East London, across Shooter's Hill (A207 road) from Oxleas Wood and located next to the new London Olympic Legacy Horse Riding College.

Blackfen is an area of south-east London, England, north of Sidcup in the London Borough of Bexley and not the historic county of Kent. "Blackfen" means a black, marshy area. The soil is dark and fertile and the area around Blackfen Road and Wellington Avenue is prone to flooding in extreme conditions. The housing stock is almost exclusively owner-occupied houses of conventional British design. The sale of the Danson Estate in 1922 marked the beginning of a major period of house building in the area and most of the houses date from the 1930s.

Oxleas Wood is one of the few remaining areas of ancient deciduous forest in Eltham in the Royal Borough of Greenwich (with a small amount passing over the boundary into the London Borough of Bexley), in southeast London. Some parts date back over 8,000 years to the end of the last ice age, the Younger Dryas. It is part of a larger continuous area of woodland and parkland on the south side of Shooter's Hill: other parts are Jack Wood, Castle Wood (home to Severndroog Castle), Oxleas Meadows, Falconwood Field, Eltham Common and Eltham Park North (the latter being divided by the A2 main road from its southern section). Eltham Park North includes the ancient Shepherdleas Wood.
