Harris Academy Falconwood

Falconwood is an area of south east London within both the London Boroughs of Bexley and Greenwich. It is north east of Eltham and south west of Welling.

Shoulder of Mutton Green is a public open space in Welling in the London Borough of Bexley. It lies between Wickham Street and Bellegrove Road, which is part of the old London to Dover Road. It owes its unusual name to its triangular shape. Before the urban growth of the nearby hamlet of Welling in the early 20th century, Shoulder of Mutton Green was surrounded by fields.

St Mary the Virgin Church is a parish church in Welling in the London Borough of Bexley. It is dedicated to the Virgin Mary. The church is in the Archdeaconry of Lewisham & Greenwich, in the Diocese of Southwark. It is notable for the range of 20th-century art contained within it.

Blackfen is an area of south-east London, England, north of Sidcup in the London Borough of Bexley and not the historic county of Kent. "Blackfen" means a black, marshy area. The soil is dark and fertile and the area around Blackfen Road and Wellington Avenue is prone to flooding in extreme conditions. The housing stock is almost exclusively owner-occupied houses of conventional British design. The sale of the Danson Estate in 1922 marked the beginning of a major period of house building in the area and most of the houses date from the 1930s.

Falconwood railway station is situated in the suburb of Falconwood, London Borough of Bexley, and is served by the Bexleyheath Line. It is 10 miles 27 chains (16.6 km) measured from London Charing Cross. The station was opened much later than the remainder of the line, on 1 January 1936, to serve a growing area. A brick-built ticket office leads down to the cutting in which the station lies. Ticket barriers control access to the platforms.

East Wickham is a district in south-east London, England, within the London Borough of Bexley. It is situated north of Welling, east of Shooter's Hill, south of Plumstead, south-west of Abbey Wood and west of West Heath, and 10.5 miles (16.9 km) east-southeast of Charing Cross. Prior to the creation of Greater London in 1965, East Wickham was in the administrative county of Kent.

The Woodlands Farm Trust is a registered charity that administers the 89-acre Woodlands Urban Farm in Royal Borough of Greenwich, London. The farm was saved by the community from development by house builders in a successful local campaign stretching from 1995 to 1997. It was previously threatened by the Greater London Council plan for the East London river crossing and road scheme which crossed the land and was planned to run through the adjacent ancient forest. The Farm Land is owned by The Co-operative Group a UK consumer co-operative society, but leased to the charity on a 999-year lease at peppercorn rent. The farm is located on Shooter's Hill, situated a vein of protected Metropolitan Open stretching from Eltham to Plumstead and Welling in South East London, across Shooter's Hill (A207 road) from Oxleas Wood and located next to the new London Olympic Legacy Horse Riding College.

Stationers' Crown Woods Academy is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form with academy status, located in the Eltham area of the Royal Borough of Greenwich in London, England. The school is built upon the land that was formerly King Henry VIII's hunting grounds (hence 'Crown Woods'). As well as pupils from Eltham, the school also attracts pupils from nearby towns Welling and Sidcup. First known as Crown Woods School, the school was founded in 1958. It was reopened in new £50 million buildings designed by Nicholas Hare Architects in 2011 and was renamed Crown Woods College. In 2014 the school was renamed Stationers' Crown Woods Academy after the school gained academy status and joined the Leigh Academies Trust, the first Leigh academy outside Kent. The school also featured in BBC series Tough Young Teachers as two trainee teachers went to the school to learn on the job.

Welling railway station is situated in Welling, part of the London Borough of Bexley, and is served by the Bexleyheath Line, 11 miles 28 chains (18.3 km) from London Charing Cross.The station was opened with the line on 1 May 1895. The station is located in Station Road, just off Bellegrove Road (which becomes Welling High Street). This is one of the stations on the line with original buildings: the offices here are on the Up side of the station. There are ticket barriers to both entrances.

Avery Hill is an area of South East London mainly within Royal Borough of Greenwich, and with some parts in the London Borough of Bexley. It is located east of Eltham and north west of Sidcup. It is believed that the area is named after an aviary formerly located in the area.

The Wogebourne () is an 8 km (5.0 mi) tributary of the River Thames in the southeast London boroughs of Greenwich and Bexley, that flows generally in a northeasterly direction, from its source in Oxleas Wood in Shooter's Hill, to Thamesmead where it joins the Thames. The Wogebourne has appeared in records since at least the fourteenth century, and has been known by other names including Woghbourne, Plumstead River, and Wickham Valley Watercourse. The upper reaches of the watercourse in Shooter's Hill, Falconwood, Welling, and East Wickham are above ground through woodland, farmland and fields, where several smaller tributaries join; whereas the lower reaches in Plumstead, Abbey Wood, and Thamesmead are mostly underground within culverts. The final part of the river in Thamesmead was previously marshland which was drained in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, where the Wogebourne now completes its course through a man-made lake called Southmere and a purpose-built channel named Crossway Canal which empties into the Thames at Crossness.

Wyncham Stream (Also spelt Wincham Stream) is a small river within the London Boroughs of Bexley and Bromley in southeast London, England, United Kingdom. It is 5.6 km (3.5 mi) in length and is a tributary of the River Shuttle. The stream rises from several sources in Chislehurst in the London Borough of Bromley and the BR7 post code area. It then flows north through Foxbury and Kemnal, with small ponds and woodlands such as Ash Grove on its course, following some of Kemnal Road and passing through the sports grounds of Flamingo Park and the Jack Nicklaus Golf Centre. It continues northeast under the Sidcup By-Pass (A20) and the adjacent Foots Cray Road (A211) into the London Borough of Bexley and DA15 post code area. It then flows under the section of railway line between Sidcup and New Eltham stations and under several residential roads, including Halfway Street (B2214), passing through Longlands, Lamorbey, on the northwest side of Sidcup. Where the stream passes under Halfway Street, the bridge here was named Wincham Bridge in the early twentieth century, and Vincent Bridge in the nineteenth century. The stream then passes through some small green areas including allotments, the small Beverley Wood, and finally flows into Blackfen where it joins the longer River Shuttle in Hollyoak Wood Park. Some of the stream's course lies between the backs of domestic gardens, while in other places some roads have been built with a separate lane either side of the river with narrow grassy banks. Some of the small nearby residential roads have river-related names, such as Wyncham Avenue, taken directly from the river, but also: Brooklands Road, Brookend Road, and Shuttle Close after the River Shuttle.
