New Eltham railway station

New Eltham is an area of south east London, in the London Boroughs of Greenwich and Bexley. It lies south east of Eltham and north west of Sidcup.

The Church of Holy Trinity is a Church of England parish church in Eltham, Royal Borough of Greenwich, London. The church is a grade II listed building. It is the location of the Gallipoli Memorial Chapel, which was dedicated in 1917 to those who had died in the Gallipoli Campaign.

Avery Hill is an area of South East London mainly within Royal Borough of Greenwich, and with some parts in the London Borough of Bexley. It is located east of Eltham and north west of Sidcup. It is believed that the area is named after an aviary formerly located in the area.

Longlands is an area of South East London overlapping the London Boroughs of Bexley, Bromley and Greenwich. It lies north west of Sidcup and south east of Eltham. Some old maps and records have the name as two words "Long Lands", and show it was in the Foots Cray/Sidcup parish in the Hundred of Ruxley.

St Thomas More Catholic School is a mixed Roman Catholic secondary school, located in the Eltham area of the Royal Borough of Greenwich in London, England.The school was first established in 1964, and is supported by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Southwark. Previously a voluntary aided school administered by Greenwich London Borough Council, St Thomas More Catholic School converted to academy status in February 2015. However the school continues to coordinate with Greenwich London Borough Council for admissions. St Thomas More Catholic School offers GCSEs, BTECs and NVQs as programmes of study for pupils. Some courses are delivered in partnership with other schools in Greenwich.

Stationers' Crown Woods Academy is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form with academy status, located in the Eltham area of the Royal Borough of Greenwich in London, England. The school is built upon the land that was formerly King Henry VIII's hunting grounds (hence 'Crown Woods'). As well as pupils from Eltham, the school also attracts pupils from nearby towns Welling and Sidcup. First known as Crown Woods School, the school was founded in 1958. It was reopened in new £50 million buildings designed by Nicholas Hare Architects in 2011 and was renamed Crown Woods College. In 2014 the school was renamed Stationers' Crown Woods Academy after the school gained academy status and joined the Leigh Academies Trust, the first Leigh academy outside Kent. The school also featured in BBC series Tough Young Teachers as two trainee teachers went to the school to learn on the job.

Kemnal Park Cemetery & Memorial Gardens is a privately owned cemetery in London that was opened in October 2013 by the Mayor of Bromley, Cllr Ernest Noad. It comprises 55 acres in total and in addition to the available 30,000 burial plots, features a garden of remembrance, a non-denominational chapel and car parking. Near to the cemetery entrance is a monument to ‘the Unknown Parishioner of the Borough of Southwark’. This person's remains were moved to the cemetery from the former St Saviour's Almshouse burial ground during the construction of the Thameslink Programme rail project. The cemetery is also listed as a 'site of special interest' due to its ancient woodland and diverse bird life. In April 2014, Kemnal Park became the first cemetery in the UK to offer live web streaming of services.

The Tarn is a 9 acres (3.6 ha) site on Court Road between Mottingham and Eltham, in the Royal Borough of Greenwich, southeast London, United Kingdom, consisting of a public garden, a bird sanctuary nature reserve and a lake amongst woodland. The woodland and lake, which was historically known as Starbuck's Pond, were previously the southern part of the Great Park, one of three parks belonging to the estate of Eltham Palace and used as a royal deer hunting park for several centuries up until the English Civil War. As a garden The Tarn opened in 1935, after the Metropolitan Borough of Woolwich acquired the site from the adjacent Royal Blackheath Golf Course. The Tarn remains largely unchanged since the 1930s and contains several shelters, benches, a public toilets building and a circular path which crosses a wooden footbridge spanning the lake. There is also an 18th-century ice house in the garden, which is a listed structure.

Wyncham Stream (Also spelt Wincham Stream) is a small river within the London Boroughs of Bexley and Bromley in southeast London, England, United Kingdom. It is 5.6 km (3.5 mi) in length and is a tributary of the River Shuttle. The stream rises from several sources in Chislehurst in the London Borough of Bromley and the BR7 post code area. It then flows north through Foxbury and Kemnal, with small ponds and woodlands such as Ash Grove on its course, following some of Kemnal Road and passing through the sports grounds of Flamingo Park and the Jack Nicklaus Golf Centre. It continues northeast under the Sidcup By-Pass (A20) and the adjacent Foots Cray Road (A211) into the London Borough of Bexley and DA15 post code area. It then flows under the section of railway line between Sidcup and New Eltham stations and under several residential roads, including Halfway Street (B2214), passing through Longlands, Lamorbey, on the northwest side of Sidcup. Where the stream passes under Halfway Street, the bridge here was named Wincham Bridge in the early twentieth century, and Vincent Bridge in the nineteenth century. The stream then passes through some small green areas including allotments, the small Beverley Wood, and finally flows into Blackfen where it joins the longer River Shuttle in Hollyoak Wood Park. Some of the stream's course lies between the backs of domestic gardens, while in other places some roads have been built with a separate lane either side of the river with narrow grassy banks. Some of the small nearby residential roads have river-related names, such as Wyncham Avenue, taken directly from the river, but also: Brooklands Road, Brookend Road, and Shuttle Close after the River Shuttle.

Coldharbour is an area of South East London and post-war housing estate within the Royal Borough of Greenwich. It is located to the south of Eltham and north of Chislehurst.

Eltham is a constituency created in 1983 and represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament since 1997 by Clive Efford of the Labour Party.Since 2010, Eltham has been a marginally-held Labour seat. It approximately covers the southern half of the Royal Borough of Greenwich in London.

Mottingham railway station is a station situated on Court Road between Eltham and Mottingham, in the Royal Borough of Greenwich, south-east London. It is 9 miles 40 chains (15.3 km) down the line from London Charing Cross. The station is located in Travelcard Zone 4, on the Dartford Loop Line between Lee and New Eltham. The station is operated by Southeastern.
