Villers-Perwin

Les Bons Villers (French pronunciation: [le bɔ̃ vilɛʁs]; Walloon: Les Bons Viyés) is a municipality of Wallonia located in the province of Hainaut, Belgium. On 1 January 2018 the municipality had 9,457 inhabitants. The total area is 42.55 km², giving a population density of 222 inhabitants per km². The municipality consists of the following districts: Frasnes-lez-Gosselies, Mellet, Rèves, Villers-Perwin and Wayaux.

Sart-Dames-Avelines (Walloon: Sårt-Dames-Avlenes) is a village of Wallonia and a district of the municipality of Villers-la-Ville, located in the south of the province of Walloon Brabant, Belgium.

The Battle of Quatre Bras was fought on 16 June 1815, as a preliminary engagement to the decisive Battle of Waterloo that occurred two days later. The battle took place near the strategic crossroads of Quatre Bras and was contested between elements of the Duke of Wellington's Anglo-allied army and the left wing of Napoleon Bonaparte's French Armée du Nord under Marshal Michel Ney. The battle was a tactical victory for Wellington (as he possessed the field at dusk), but because Ney prevented him going to the aid of Blucher's Prussians who were fighting a larger French army under the command of Napoleon Bonaparte at Ligny it was a strategic victory for the French.

Quatre Bras ([kat.ʁə bʁɑ], French for crossroads; literally "four arms") is a hamlet in the municipality of Genappe, Wallonia, Belgium. It lies on the crossroad of the Charleroi–Brussels road (currently named N5) and the Nivelles–Namur road south of Genappe. On June 16, 1815, near the crossroads of Quatre Bras, the Battle of Quatre Bras (part of the Waterloo Campaign) was fought between contingents of the Anglo-Allied army and the left wing of the French Army. Heppignies (Walloon: Epniye) is a village of Wallonia and a district of the municipality of Fleurus located in the province of Hainaut, Belgium.It is also the name of an industrial estate in the northern district of the Walloon city of Fleurus, which is to the south of the old village centre and next to the junction of the R3 A15 main roads.

Marbais (Walloon: Marbé) is a village of Wallonia and a district of the Belgian municipality of Villers-la-Ville, located in the province of Walloon Brabant, Belgium.

Maransart (Walloon: Maransåt) is a Belgian town and district of the municipality of Lasne, Wallonia in the province of Walloon Brabant. The holotype of the extinct crocodilian Dollosuchoides was discovered here in 1915 and the Middle Eocene Brussel Formation, where Dollosuchoides was recovered from, is known to outcrop near Maransart.

The Aéropole Science Park is a business incubator and science park located in Gosselies, Charleroi, Belgium, nearby the Brussels South Charleroi Airport. It hosts 150 companies, providing around 3,600 jobs. Business and academic clusters are growing up in the following fields : aeronautics, ICT, biotechnologies, industrial engineering, training and R&D centres.The science park hosts several research institutes including the Centre of Excellence in Information Technology (CETIC), a joint a centre of expertise for the development of Walloon companies founded by the universities of Louvain-la-Neuve (UCLouvain), Namur and Mons; the Cenaero (Research Centre in Aeronautics), an institute for the development of aeronautics and space industry of UCLouvain, the University of Liège and the Université libre de Bruxelles, and the ULB Institute for Molecular Biology & Medicine and the Institute for Medical Immunology, in collaboration with GlaxoSmithKline Biologicals. The cluster hosts three spin-offs from UCLouvain: Cedit, a technology company, and since 2011, iTeos, a pharmaceutical company founded within the de Duve Institute at UCLouvain Brussels Woluwe and which raised a capital of 75 million US dollars in 2018, and Viridaxis, since 2011.Several spin-offs of the Université libre de Bruxelles have their headquarters on the site: Henogen, DNA Vision, Bone Therapeutics, Euroscreen, Delphi Genetics, Aliwen, BV Transgenics Services, BioCygnus and ImmuneHealth.

Liberchies (Walloon: Luberciye) is a village of Wallonia and a district of the municipality of Pont-à-Celles, located in the province of Hainaut, Belgium. It is situated along the previous Roman highway Bavay-Tongeren where a vicus was discovered. Geminiacum is the name of the vicus (Roman village) that developed along the Roman highway next to the center of today's Liberchies. This village was created in 30 BC and was occupied until the end of the 3rd century. Being created as a relay for the Roman troops, it developed as a small town with a cultural life and economic activities. In 1970, 368 golden Roman coins were discovered on the site of former Geminiacum. Liberchies was an independent municipality until 1964 when it was united with Luttre. In 1976 Luttre was united with Pont-à-Celles, of which Liberchies forms a district. Every year in May a Django Reinhardt Jazz Festival takes place in Liberchies, Django Reinhardt's birth village.

The Festival Django Reinhardt is a Gypsy jazz music festival held during late June or early July at Samois-sur-Seine, France, and, since 2017, in the grounds of the nearby Château de Fontainebleau. It began as a single evening festival in 1968, but in 1983, became an annual week-long event commemorating Django Reinhardt and his music.The festival combines a musical program with creative, leisure and artistic activities about jazz, guitars and Gypsies.
