Conservatoire national des arts et métiers

The Priory of Saint-Martin-des-Champs was an influential monastery established in what is now the city of Paris, France. Its surviving buildings are considered treasures of Medieval architecture in the city.

The Musée des Arts et Métiers (French pronunciation: ​[myze dez‿aʁz‿e metje]) (French for Museum of Arts and Crafts) is an industrial design museum in Paris that houses the collection of the Conservatoire national des arts et métiers, which was founded in 1794 as a repository for the preservation of scientific instruments and inventions.

In 1862 during Haussmann's modernization of Paris, the Théâtre de la Gaîté of the boulevard du Temple was relocated to the rue Papin across from the Square des Arts et Métiers. The new theatre, built in an Italian style to designs of the architects Jacques-Ignace Hittorff and Alphonse Cusin, opened on 3 September.Within a decade, the focus began to shift from melodrama to operetta and opera, so the theatre also came to be known as the Gaîté-Lyrique. In the early 1920s, Diaghilev's Ballets Russes danced here, and after World War II it was used for musical comedy. In the 1970s, attendance decreased, and there were several attempts to find new uses for the building, culminating in 1989 in the construction of a short-lived amusement park, that resulted in the demolition of most of the theatre, except for the facade, entrance and foyer. The latter were restored during a 2004 reconstruction that converted the building into an arts centre, La Gaîté Lyrique, completed in November 2010.

La Gaîté Lyrique (French: [la ɡɛte liʁik]) is a digital arts and modern music centre opened by the City of Paris in December 2010, located at 3-5 rue Papin in the 3rd arrondissement.The centre is on the site of the former Théâtre de la Gaîté, incorporating the facade, entrance and foyer of the original theatre. The auditorium of the theatre was demolished in 1989 for an amusement park. The refurbishment lasted from 2004 to 2011 under the architect Manuelle Gautrand. The General/Artistic Director was Jérôme Delormas. The venue is directed by Marc Dondey since 2016.

The Church of Saint-Nicolas-des-Champs (Église Saint-Nicolas-des-Champs) is a Catholic church in Paris' Third arrondissement. Early parts of the church, includingnthe west front, built 1420–1480, are in the Flamboyant Gothic style, while later portions, including the south portal, mostly built 1576–86, are examples of French Renaissance architecture. It is notable particularly for its Renaissance carved sculpture, decoration and large collection of French Renaissance paintings in the interior.

Réaumur–Sébastopol (French pronunciation: ​[ʁeomyʁ sebastɔpɔl]) is a station on Line 3 and Line 4 of the Paris Métro. Located on the border between the 2nd arrondissement and 3rd arrondissement, it was used by 4,925,640 passengers in 2013, making it the 88th busiest station out of 302 on the Métro network.

Arts et Métiers (French pronunciation: ​[aʁz‿e metje], literally "Arts and Trades") is a station on Line 3 and Line 11 of the Paris Métro. Its located in the 3rd arrondissement of Paris.

The Porte Saint-Martin is a Parisian monument located at the site of one of the gates of the now-destroyed fortifications of Paris. It is located at the crossing of Rue Saint-Martin, Rue du Faubourg Saint-Martin and the grands boulevards Boulevard Saint-Martin and Boulevard Saint-Denis.

Plan Voisin was a planned redevelopment of Paris designed by French Swiss architect Le Corbusier in 1925. The redevelopment was planned to replace a large area of central Paris, on the Right Bank of the River Seine. Although it was never implemented, the project is one of Le Corbusier's most well known, and its principles inspired many other plans around the world

The Musée de l'Éventail (Fan Museum), or more formally L'Atelier Hoguet Musée de l'Éventail, is a private museum of fans and fan-making located in the 10th arrondissement at 2, boulevard de Strasbourg, Paris, France. It is open several afternoons per week (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday) and is closed annually during the month of August; an admission fee is charged. The nearest métro station is Strasbourg – Saint-Denis. The museum is located within the Atelier Anne Hoguet, a workshop for fan-making and restoration. Its exhibits are displayed in a showroom established in 1893 by fan-makers Lepault & Deberghe, purchased in 1960 by Hervé Hoguet. The museum was established in 1993. Today the museum is housed within two rooms. The former showroom is furnished in Henry II style with a monumental fireplace, three chandeliers, blue walls embroidered with fleur-de-lys in gold thread, and walnut furnishings. It contains an exhibition of fans from the eighteenth century to the present day, along with the tools, workbenches, and materials used in making fans, including mother-of-pearl, ivory, horn, bone, and wood.

The Aux Belles Poules (French: literally to beautiful hens, poule is a colloquialism for prostitutes) was a well-known Parisian maison close (brothel), established at 32-34 Rue Blondel in the 2nd Arrondissement.

Strasbourg–Saint-Denis (French pronunciation: ​[stʁazbuʁ sɛ̃ dəni]) is a station on Line 4, Line 8 and Line 9 of the Paris Métro. Opened in 1908 under the name Boulevard Saint-Denis, it takes its current name in 1931, which refers to Rue Saint-Denis and the Boulevard de Strasbourg.
