Sandown is a town in Rockingham County, New Hampshire, United States. The population was 6,548 at the 2020 census, up from 5,986 at the 2010 census.

The Sandown Old Meetinghouse is a historic meeting house on Fremont Road in Sandown, New Hampshire. Built in 1773, this two-story timber-frame structure is a virtually unaltered late-Colonial civic and religious structure. It is believed to be unique in the state for its level of preservation, both internal and external. The building, now maintained by a nonprofit organization, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978, and the New Hampshire State Register of Historic Places in 2011.

The main farmhouse is one of the town's best examples of Gothic Revival architecture. The property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

East Hampstead is an unincorporated community in the town of Hampstead in Rockingham County, New Hampshire, United States. It is located near the northeast corner of the town of Hampstead, at the intersection of New Hampshire Route 111 and Route 121A. Route 111 connects Salem to the southwest with Kingston to the northeast, while Route 121A is a local road which connects with Sandown to the northwest and Plaistow to the southeast. East Hampstead has a separate ZIP code (03826) from the rest of the town of Hampstead.

Danville is a town in Rockingham County, New Hampshire, United States. The population was 4,408 at the 2020 census. Danville is part of the Timberlane Regional School District, with students attending Danville Elementary School, Timberlane Regional Middle School, and Timberlane Regional High School.

The Danville Town House is the town hall of Danville, New Hampshire. It is located at 210 Main Street (New Hampshire Route 111A). The 2+1⁄2-story wood-frame building was completed in 1887, replacing the old 18th-century meetinghouse. It houses the town offices, and a meeting space in which town meetings and other civic and social events take place. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.

The Danville Meetinghouse (also known as The Hawke Meetinghouse) is a historic colonial meeting house on North Main Street (New Hampshire Route 111A) in Danville, New Hampshire. Construction on the building began in 1755 and was finished in 1760 when Danville (Hawke at the time) petitioned to form a town of its own, separate from Kingston. It is the oldest meetinghouse of original construction and least-altered in New Hampshire, with a remarkably well preserved interior. The building, now maintained by a local nonprofit organization, was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Island Pond (sometimes referred to locally as Big Island Pond) is a 532-acre (215 ha) water body located in Rockingham County in southern New Hampshire, in the towns of Derry, Hampstead and Atkinson. The pond is at the head of the Spicket River watershed, which feeds into the Merrimack River in Lawrence, Massachusetts. The pond was formed from the merger of Perch Pond in Hampstead and Lake Wentworth in Derry in 1878, when a new dam raised the water level by 8.5 feet (2.6 m).The pond is named for Governor's Island, a 231-acre (90 ha) island that lies within it. The island in turn is named for Benning Wentworth, colonial governor of New Hampshire, who built a summer residence on the north end of the island called Birch Farm. A smaller island is named after the Native American chief Escumbuit.The lake is classified as a cold and warmwater fishery and contains largemouth and smallmouth bass, brook trout, rainbow trout, brown trout, chain pickerel, horned pout, white perch, black crappie, and bluegill.

Hampstead Academy is a private, independent day school situated on a wooded 9-acre (36,000 m2) campus in southeastern New Hampshire. Established in 1978, Hampstead Academy is approved by the New Hampshire State Department of Education, and Health and Human Services (DHHS), and is fully accredited by New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) and is SEVIS certified. The school serves students in preschool through grade 8.
