Chakala (J B Nagar) metro station

Chakala is a locality in the suburb of Andheri in Mumbai. It had a station on the Salsette–Trombay Railway, which was dismantled after the rail line closed down in 1934. It is served by the Western Express Highway and Chakala stations on Line 1 of the Mumbai Metro. The locality draws its name from Chaquelem, one of the 13 villages in the vicinity of Marol that converted to Catholicsm in 1588 after the advent of the Portuguese on Salsette Island.Chakala is one of the most prominent industrial localities in Mumbai. Chakala also is home to many other small scale businesses and has proximal airport access. Nepal Airlines has its Mumbai office in the Rathour House in Chakala.

The Holy Family High School is a private Catholic primary and secondary school for boys located in the suburb of East Andheri in Mumbai, in the state of Maharashtra, India. While the school is primarily English-medium, there is also a smaller Marathi-medium section that runs in parallel from the fifth to the tenth standard. The school now also has a junior college named Holy Family Junior College for 11th and 12th grade HSC students.

Andheri East constituency is one of the 26 Vidhan Sabha constituencies located in Mumbai Suburban district. It is a segment of the Mumbai North West Lok Sabha constituency along with five other Vidhan Sabha segments, namely Goregaon, Versova, Jogeshwari East, Dindoshi and Andheri West in Mumbai Suburban district.

House of Love (Mumbai) (Sneha Sadan) houses homeless children in the area of Mumbai, India, along with other services. It is a work of the Society of Jesus. The first House of Love was a hut at Kajuwadi in Chakala, Andheri with just five boys. In April 1963 a second home was started in Gundowli village. Couples have been the houseparents for these homeless shelters from the start. In 1964 a third home was opened at Holy Cross Church in Kurla. A fourth followed in 1965 in Mogra village, housing 25 boys, and later a home near Andheri. By 1976 the eighth house was converted into the first girls home. This grew to where Sndha Sadan runs 15 homes, 10 for boys and five for girls, all but two in Mumbai. Some houses accommodate as many as 35 children, under the care of a husband and wife pair. In 1992 Sadan also opened a home for women and their children and in 2005 one for girls it rescues from sex trafficking.

Gurdwara Guru Nanak Punjabi Sabha Chakala is a Sikh Gurdwara in Chakala in Mumbai. The Guru Nanak Punjabi Sabha was founded by Dr Shamsher Singh Jolly (1922–1992) to establish a Gurdwara, a Charitable Dispensary and the Guru Nanak Mission High School. The Gurdwara and Charitable Dispensary is located on Andheri Kurla Road, Amrit Nagar, Andheri East, Mumbai - 400093, Opposite Holy Family Church, Chakala. The Guru Nanak Mission High School is located at 5/B, Mahakali Caves Road, Chakala, Gundavali, Near Sai Palace Hotel, Andheri East, Mumbai - 400093.

Sahar Road is an underground metro station on the North-South corridor of the Aqua Line 3 of Mumbai Metro in Mumbai, India. This metro station was inaugurated on October 05 2024 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, followed by the commencement of the metro service from October 07 2024.

Maker's Asylum is a makerspace / hackerspace in Mumbai and New Delhi, inspired by Artisan's Asylum, Chaos Computer Club and other maker organizations. St. John the Baptist Church is an abandoned and ruined church presently located within the SEEPZ Industrial Area, in Andheri, Mumbai, India. It was built by the Portuguese Jesuits in 1579 and opened to public worship on the feast of John the Baptist that year. It also had an attached graveyard. The church was abandoned in 1840 after an epidemic hit the village. Fr. José Lourenço Pais, the then Vicar of Kondivita transferred the church to the nearby Marol village. The baptismal font, pillars and altars were transferred to the new church. After abandonment, the church fell into decay and vegetation started to take over the ruins. Despite being abandoned, the native Christians visit the church once every year, as is traditional worldwide. The church was handed back to Fr. Rodney Esperance of Bombay Archdiocese in 2003 by the then Maharashtra Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde.

Western Express Highway is an elevated metro station on the Blue Line 1 of Mumbai Metro serving the Andheri suburb of Mumbai, India. It is the flagship station of the line and was opened to the public on 8 June 2014.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport - T2 (also called as CSMI Airport - T2) is an underground metro station on the north–south corridor of the Aqua Line 3 of Mumbai Metro in Mumbai, India. This metro station was inaugurated on 5 October 2024, by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, followed by the commencement of the metro service from 7 October 2024.

Gundavali is the elevated southern terminal metro station on the North-South corridor of the Red Line 7 of Mumbai Metro in Mumbai, India. This metro station was inaugurated on 20 January 2023 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Sahar Village lies in the Vile Parle East suburb of Mumbai. It is among the oldest settlements of East Indians on Salsette Island. The village had a station on the Salsette–Trombay Railway that was dismantled after the rail line closed in 1934.The opening of the Sahar International Terminal (Terminal 2) of the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in the 1980s led to subsequent urban development in the area. This includes the opening of the first hotel of The Leela Group in 1988. Its nearby areas are Vile Parle, Marol, JB Nagar, Chakala, and Saki Naka.
