South Carolina's 3rd congressional district is a congressional district in western South Carolina bordering both Georgia and North Carolina. It includes all of Abbeville, Anderson, Edgefield, Greenwood, Laurens, McCormick, Oconee, Pickens, and Saluda counties and portions of Greenville and Newberry counties. The district is mostly rural, but much of the economy revolves around the manufacturing centers of Anderson and Greenwood. Clemson University, the state's second largest by enrollment, is also in the district. With a Cook Partisan Voting Index rating of R+21, it is the most Republican district in South Carolina.

Greenville Presbyterian Church is a historic Presbyterian church located near Donalds, Greenwood County, South Carolina. It was built in 1852 and is a meeting house form, Greek Revival style brick church. Also on the property are a small brick Session House, a large historic cemetery containing about 1,200 identifiable graves, and a natural spring. The earliest graves in the church cemetery date from 1777 and numerous markers indicate service in the American Revolution and American Civil War. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.

Donalds is a town in Abbeville County, South Carolina. As of the 2020 United States Census, its population was 328.

The Donalds Grange No. 497, in Donalds, South Carolina, also known as Patrons of Husbandry or Grange Hall, was built in 1935. It has served as a library, as a city hall, and as a meeting hall. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995.

Hodges is a town in Greenwood County, South Carolina, United States. The population was 155 at the 2010 census. The mayor is Michael George. Hodges was named after Major General George Washington Hodges, who was commander of all of South Carolina's militia. Hodges was born September 9, 1792, and died March 24, 1876. He fought in the War of 1812. His grave is northeast of town in a hidden pre-Civil War cemetery.

The Masonic Female College and Cokesbury Conference School is a historic building in Cokesbury, South Carolina, that was the home of several different educational institutions in the century from 1854 to 1954. Together with the adjacent village of Old Cokesbury, it is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places as an historic district.When built in 1854, the school building was the home of the Masonic Female College of South Carolina, which was established in 1853 and operated until 1874 under the sponsorship of Bascomb Lodge No. 80 of Freemasons. The school was unusual for its time in providing an education for young women.From 1876 to 1918, the building was the site of the Cokesbury Conference School, a school for boys from 1876 to 1882, and co-educational thereafter. In 1918, it became a public school, and operated as such until 1954. In 1954 the property reverted to the South Carolina Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. The three-story Greek Revival style building has a bell tower and four square columns that extend from the ground level to the pediment. The first floor contained four student recitation rooms and four music rooms, there was a chapel on the second floor, and the third floor housed a Masonic Lodge headquarters. The school building and Old Cokesbury were listed together on the National Register on August 25, 1970.

Cokesbury is a census-designated place (CDP) in Greenwood County, South Carolina, United States. The population was 215 at the 2010 census, down from 279 in 2000.

WZKQ-LP (105.3 FM) was a low-power radio station licensed to Hodges, South Carolina, United States. The station was owned by Hodges Women in Broadcasting Club.On October 6, 2015, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) notified the station's owners that it would consider WZKQ-LP's license to have expired on June 20, 2015 due to having been silent for more than twelve months, unless they were shown otherwise. The notice was returned as undeliverable, and the FCC deleted the WZKQ-LP call sign on November 12, 2015.

The national headquarters for Park Seed Company, Jackson & Perkins, and Wayside Gardens is located in Greenwood, South Carolina. The headquarters complex is surrounded by 9 acres (36,000 m2) of land that are maintained by the Park Seed Company for many purposes. The trial gardens previously featured on the grounds closed in 2013 as the company shifted to a fully eCommerce based retail platform. Park Seed Company's annual Flower Day was a day each year when the company’s professional horticulturists give guided tours of the gardens. In 1967, Flower Day gave rise to the South Carolina Festival of Flowers, which through the years has become a three-week-long celebration encompassing garden tours, art and photography competitions, a triathlon, and numerous other cultural and recreational activities.

The Battle of Lindley's Fort (July 15, 1776) was part of a campaign by Loyalist and Cherokee forces to gain control over the South Carolina backcountry from Patriot forces early in the American Revolutionary War. The Cherokees were involved because ongoing encroachment of their territory in the area had led them to take up arms. These activities prompted settlers to seek refuge at Lindley's Fort in present-day Laurens County. A joint force of Cherokee and Loyalists adorned with Indian warpaint descended on the fort one day after about 150 militiamen arrived at the stockade fort. The defenders repulsed the attackers, and when they withdrew, made a sortie and pursued them. Two Loyalists were killed and 13 taken prisoner.

Tabernacle Cemetery is a historic cemetery located near Greenwood, Greenwood County, South Carolina. It was established in 1812, and includes the graves of many prominent citizens of Abbeville and Edgefield Districts and later Greenwood County as well, from the early-19th through the 20th centuries. It is the only cemetery in South Carolina where two Confederate Generals, namely brothers-in-law Nathan George Evans and Martin Witherspoon Gary, are buried. Most graves date from about 1812 to about 1950. The cemetery contains approximately 132 marked graves.The cemetery was named to the National Register of Historic Places in 2008.
