Greenville Presbyterian Church (South Carolina)

South Carolina's 3rd congressional district is a congressional district in western South Carolina bordering both Georgia and North Carolina. It includes all of Abbeville, Anderson, Edgefield, Greenwood, Laurens, McCormick, Oconee, Pickens, and Saluda counties and portions of Greenville and Newberry counties. The district is mostly rural, but much of the economy revolves around the manufacturing centers of Anderson and Greenwood. Clemson University, the state's second largest by enrollment, is also in the district. With a Cook Partisan Voting Index rating of R+21, it is the most Republican district in South Carolina.

Donalds is a town in Abbeville County, South Carolina. As of the 2020 United States Census, its population was 328.

The Donalds Grange No. 497, in Donalds, South Carolina, also known as Patrons of Husbandry or Grange Hall, was built in 1935. It has served as a library, as a city hall, and as a meeting hall. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995.

Ware Shoals Inn is a historic hotel located at Ware Shoals, Greenwood County, South Carolina. It was built by the Ware Shoals Manufacturing Company in 1923, and is a three-story brick building with a partial basement. The modified V-shaped building features a raised porch at its truncated vertex. The Inn's design incorporates elements of the Arts and Crafts movement and Colonial Revival style. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.

Hodges is a town in Greenwood County, South Carolina, United States. The population was 155 at the 2010 census. The mayor is Michael George. Hodges was named after Major General George Washington Hodges, who was commander of all of South Carolina's militia. Hodges was born September 9, 1792, and died March 24, 1876. He fought in the War of 1812. His grave is northeast of town in a hidden pre-Civil War cemetery.

Due West Female College was a private women's college that operated in Due West, South Carolina, US, from 1859 until 1927, when it merged with Erskine College. Due West was founded by a mixed group of lay men and local leaders from the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. Its first president was John Irwin Bonner, who had founded the first ARP Church in the town. Although some of its founders were affiliated with the church, the college did not have an official denominational affiliation until it was bought by the ARP Church in 1904. The college's original mission was to educate women to become teachers in the Greater Abbeville County area. Over time, however, Due West began to attract students from throughout the Southern United States, including from as far away as Texas. The New York Times noted in 1906 that the college and its surrounding town had become known as the most "strait-laced" place in America, with the "damsels" of the Due West Female College being "as well behaved and as proper as members of the faculty." Due West had been closely linked to another college in town, Erskine College, since its founding. When the better-known Erskine became fully coeducational in 1899, Due West experienced a decline in enrollment. In 1925, Due West agreed to merge with Erskine, which helped the coeducational college receive its first accreditation from the Southern Association of Colleges. The colleges officially merged in 1927, with Due West closing in 1928.

Due West is a town in Abbeville County, South Carolina. The population was 1,247 at the 2010 census. It is home to Erskine College, Erskine Theological Seminary and Dixie High School.

Dixie High School is a public school for grades 8–12 in Due West, South Carolina, United States. It is part of the Abbeville County School District. As of 2015 it had an enrollment of 415 students. In 2024, US News ranked it 44th in South Carolina. It has a 16% minority population with 61% of students classified as economically disadvantaged.

Erskine College is a private Christian college in Due West, South Carolina, United States. It is an undergraduate liberal arts college and a graduate theological seminary. The college was founded in 1839 by the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. Its sports teams compete in NCAA Division II as a member of Conference Carolinas.

Erskine Theological Seminary, a division of Erskine College, is an institution of graduate theological and pastoral education. The seminary is based in Due West, South Carolina. It also offers classes in Columbia, South Carolina and Greenville, South Carolina. Erskine Seminary is in the conservative Presbyterian tradition, and primarily prepares candidates for ordained Christian ministry. The Seminary, founded in 1837, is a part of Erskine College, a liberal arts college established in 1839 and affiliated with the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. The mission of Erskine Theological Seminary is to prepare "men and women to fulfill the Great Commission of Jesus Christ through theological higher education that is ecclesial, missional, and confessional."

It consists of 88 contributing properties and includes part of the campus of Erskine College as well as private homes, businesses, and other buildings in the town of Due West.
