Kristineberg Palace

Kristineberg is a residential area of Kungsholmen, Stockholm. The land was bought by the city in 1920. Before that it was owned by Kristineberg Palace. Kristineberg metro station is an outdoor station and was opened on 26 October 1952.

Kristineberg metro station is a station on the Green line of the Stockholm metro. It is located in the district of Kristineberg, which is in the borough of Kungsholmen in central Stockholm. The station is located above ground alongside Drottningholmsvägen on its approach to the eastern end of the Tranebergsbron bridge. It has a single island platform, with access from Nordenflychtsvägen, which passes under the station and bridge approach. The distance to Slussen is 6.7 km (4.2 mi).The station was inaugurated on 26 October 1952 as a part of the section of line between Hötorget and Vällingby.As part of Art in the Stockholm metro project, a group of bronze sculptures by Carina Wallert, entitled Traveller with animal, was installed on the station platform in 1991.

Fredhällsbron (Swedish: The Fredhäll Bridge) is a bridge in central Stockholm, Sweden. It connects the island Lilla Essingen to Fredhäll, a district on the island Kungsholmen, and, forming a section of the Essingeleden motorway, connects the Lilla Essingen interchange to the tunnel Fredhällstunneln. The bridge is made of pre-stressed concrete cellular sections forming two parallel, separate roadways, each 270 metres long and 14,8 metres wide with horizontal clearances of 9 metres.In 2004, 19,084 private cars per day (6 AM - 20:59 PM) entered inner Stockholm via the Fredhäll Bridge, a number decreased by 38% during the Stockholm congestion tax trial in 2006.

Lilla Essingen is a small island in central Stockholm, Sweden. It is located on Lake Mälaren next to the larger neighbouring island of Stora Essingen. Both Essingen Islands (Essingeöarna) are mainly residential areas, the smaller densely packed with apartment buildings while the larger is scattered with private houses and, to a lesser extent, apartment buildings. The Essingeleden motorway, part of the European routes E4 and E20, passing over both islands is named after them.Bus route 1 (Stora Essingen - Frihamnen) stops at two places on Lilla Essingen, providing transport to central parts of town and connections to the underground network. Mariebergsbron (Swedish: "The Marieberg Bridge") is a bridge in central Stockholm, Sweden. Formerly known as Lilla Essingebron, it connects the islands Kungsholmen to Lilla Essingen. The current name is due to the vicinity to the city district Marieberg. The first bridge at this location, replacing a hand-pulled ferry, was built in 1907 and financed by local landowners. It was a rather heavy concrete bridge with a five metres wide roadway flanked by two 0,5 metres thick edges.The bridge was transferred over to the city in 1916, and as Lilla Essingen was being exploited in the 1930s, the bridge was replaced by the current steel bridge with trussed girders. It is 109 meters long; offers a horizontal clearance of 12 metres; is 15 metres wide with a roadway of 10 metres.

Thorildsplan is a small park in the residential area of Kristineberg in Stockholm, Sweden. Thorildsplan is northwest of Kungsholmen, west of Lindhagensgatan and north of Drottningsolmsvägen. Thorildsplan Stockholm Metro station was commissioned in 1952 when the Hötorget-Vällingby metro was opened. The park was named in 1925 after the writer Thomas Thorild (1759–1808).In the late 1920s, a maternity clinic (Pro Patria) was built, designed by Carl Westman. It was located close to Thorildsplan on Thorildsvägen 5. In 1980, the property was sold to the building board. Today it is a residential building.

A relief of a sun on the track wall is by Huck Hultgren and dates from 1975. A painting of concrete surfaces on the theme of Thomas Thorild, genius, inventor, thinker is by Tobias Apelgren and Lou Åberg and dates from 1998.

Konradsberg or Konradsbergs hospital is a former mental hospital on the island of Kungsholmen in Stockholm, Sweden. The Stockholm Institute of Education now uses the old hospital building. From August 2009 the charter school Stockholm's International Montessori School used the building. Campus Konradsberg is named after the psychiatric hospital.

Ekelundsbron (Swedish: "The Ekelund Bridge") is a bridge in Stockholm, Sweden. Passing over the canal Karlbergskanalen, it connects the city district Stadshagen on Kungsholmen to the northern suburb Solna. The bridge is named after the crofter's holding once found nearby called Ekelund or Eklundstorpet (ek = "oak", lund = "grove", torp = "cottage"), which also gave its name to the shanty town found here around 1880. The bridge was earlier called Karlbergsbron.Historically, the bridge was a simple wooden bridge crossing a clogged canal. When the canal was rebuilt in 1864, a 34.5-metre-long (113 ft) and 5.5-metre-wide (18 ft) steel swing bridge replaced the old bridge. A 12-metre-wide (39 ft) concrete bridge resting on concrete arches built in 1956 proved insufficient by 1969 and was thus replaced by a 24-metre-wide (79 ft) bridge.

The Stockholm Institute of Education (Swedish: Lärarhögskolan i Stockholm) was a university college in Stockholm, Sweden that was founded in 1956. It was incorporated into Stockholm University on January 1, 2008.

Tranebergsbron (The Traneberg Bridge) is a double arch bridge in central Stockholm, Sweden. Stretching over the strait Tranebergssund it connects the major island Kungsholmen to the western suburb Bromma. It carries a road and metro tracks.
