Callala Beach

Callala Bay is a small town on the South Coast of New South Wales, Australia in the City of Shoalhaven. The town is situated on the northern shore of Jervis Bay about 20 minutes drive from Nowra and 10 minutes from Culburra Beach. Callala Bay has an approximate elevation of 13 metres (43 ft) above sea level, and is located inland from Callala Point, a headland facing the Tasman Sea. Nearby settlements include Callala Beach and Myola to the south-west, Currarong to the south-east and Culburra Beach to the north-east. Myola is a beach-side locality in the City of Shoalhaven in New South Wales, Australia. It lies about 26 km southeast of Nowra on the northeastern shore of Jervis Bay. It is on the opposite side of Currambene Creek from Huskisson, although there is no direct road connection. At the 2016 census, it had a population of 107.

Lady Denman is a former Sydney Harbour ferry built in 1912 for the Balmain New Ferry Company. She was later run by Sydney Ferries Limited and its government successors. She is now preserved at the Jervis Bay Maritime Museum near her original build site in Huskisson, New South Wales, Australia.She and four similar ferries, Lady Chelmsford (1910), Lady Edeline (1913), Lady Ferguson (1914), and Lady Scott (1914), were a new series of "Lady-class", designed by renowned naval architect, Walter Reeks. The five survived the 1932 opening of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and were all converted to diesel power that decade. They also survived the 1951 NSW State Government takeover of the ailing ferry fleet. Lady Denman was removed from ferry service in 1979 and donated for preservation. She is the last extant double-ended timber ferry, a type that was once prolific on Sydney Harbour. Continuing a Balmain Ferry Co convention of naming their ferries after the wives of Governors-General of Australia and Governors of NSW, Lady Denman was named after Gertrude Denman, wife of fifth Governor-General of Australia. This naming nomenclature was again used by the State Government harbour ferry operator with the introduction of 6 new "Lady-class ferries" in the 1960s and 1970s.

Jervis Bay National Park, formerly known as Jervis Bay National Park (NSW), consists of several protected areas on the western and northern foreshores of Jervis Bay, on the south coast of New South Wales. The park is close to the town of Huskisson and includes Hyams Beach, renowned for its white sand, whale watching and fishing opportunities.Visitor facilities are provided in the Greenfield Beach section of the park, including toilets, showers and walking tracks. The park was gazetted in 1995 as "Jervis Bay National Park (NSW)" to avoid confusion with nearby Booderee National Park in the Jervis Bay Territory, then known by the same name. Part of Jervis Bay itself is reserved as Jervis Bay Marine Park. The Aboriginal heritage in the park dates back thousands of years and they still feel a strong connection to the land.Jervis Bay National Park is 48.57 km2 in size and is managed by the NSW Department of Planning & Environment. The average altitude of the terrain is 16 metres.

Woollamia is a beach-side locality in the City of Shoalhaven in New South Wales, Australia. It lies about 18 km southeast of Nowra on the western side of Currambene Creek about six km northwest of Huskisson. At the 2016 census, it had a population of 560.

Jervis Bay Marine Park is a marine protected area established by the Government of New South Wales in 1998. and the current zoning plan has been in place since 1 October 2002. The marine park is approximately 210 km2 (81 sq mi) in area and spans over 100 km (62 mi) of coastline from Kinghorn Point in the north to Sussex Inlet. The marine park is zoned to conserve biological diversity in marine habitats and to provide a range of recreational and commercial activities.

Jervis Bay () is a 102-square-kilometre (39 sq mi) Oceanic bay and village in the Jervis Bay Territory (ACT) and on the South Coast of New South Wales, Australia. A 70-square-kilometre (27 sq mi) area of land around the southern headland of the bay is a territory of the Commonwealth of Australia known as the Jervis Bay Territory which is administered by (but is not a part of) the Australian Capital Territory. The Territory includes the settlements of Jervis Bay Village and Wreck Bay Village. The Royal Australian Navy (RAN) base, HMAS Creswell, is in the Jervis Bay Territory between Jervis Bay Village and Greenpatch Point.

Vincentia is a town in New South Wales, Australia in the City of Shoalhaven, on the shores of Jervis Bay. It is roughly 25 kilometres (16 mi) southeast of Nowra, and approximately 200 kilometres (120 mi) south of Sydney. At the 2016 census, the population of Vincentia was 3,290. It is also a tourist spot with a beach area featuring white sand and a number of motels.

The Parish of Bherwerre is a parish of the County of St Vincent in New South Wales which formerly included the area that is now the Jervis Bay Territory, which was transferred to the Commonwealth of Australia in 1915. Because of this, the parish is now less than half the size it was in the nineteenth century. The Jervis Bay Territory Acceptance Act of 1915 mentions that 18,000 acres (7,300 ha) of the parish were transferred to the Commonwealth. The Seat of Government Acceptance Act of 1909 mentions that three separate parcels in the parish were planned to be transferred to the Commonwealth from Bherwerre, along with land in other nearby parishes, although the actual land transfer in 1915 was only made up of land in the Parish of Bherwerre. The land mentioned in the 1909 act was a 2-square-mile (5.2 km2) portion, a 412-acre (167 ha) portion, and the 132 acres (53 ha) of Bowen Island. At the time, the parish was located in Clyde Shire. The parish now includes the towns of Sanctuary Point and Vincentia, and also the village of Hyams Beach. The parish is bounded by St Georges Basin at Erowal Bay in the south, the Jervis Bay Territory in the south-east, Jervis Bay in the east and Moona Moona creek in the north.

Lake Wollumboola is a 648 hectares (1,600 acres) coastal lake in the Shoalhaven region of New South Wales, Australia. It lies to the immediate south of the town of Culburra Beach and to the north of Jervis Bay. It forms part of Jervis Bay National Park. The lake is separated from the ocean by a berm about 100 metres (330 ft) wide which breaches only when the lake fills to over 2.5 metres (8 ft 2 in) above mean sea level.

Vincentia High School is a government-funded co-educational comprehensive secondary day school, located in the town of Vincentia in the South Coast region of New South Wales, Australia. The school is located adjacent to Jervis Bay. Established in 1993, the school enrolled approximately 1,000 students in 2018, from Year 7 to Year 12, of whom 16 percent identified as Indigenous Australians and five percent were from a language background other than English. The school is operated by the NSW Department of Education.

Pyree is a farming locality in the Shoalhaven district of New South Wales, Australia. It consists of a community hall and grounds which host a local farmers and craft market on the fourth Sunday of each month.
