Watnong Mountain

Craftsman Farms is a historic house located in Parsippany-Troy Hills, Morris County, New Jersey, United States. It was founded by noted early 20th century designer Gustav Stickley as a farm and school for the Arts and Crafts movement. It remained in use until 1915 when it was sold to a family and became a private house. When threatened by development in 1989, the home was purchased by the Township of Parsippany-Troy Hills through eminent domain. The property is operated as a museum, also known as the Stickley Museum at Craftsman Farms, and is operated by the Craftsman Farms Foundation.

Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital (also known as Greystone Psychiatric Park, Greystone Psychiatric Hospital, or simply Greystone and formerly known as the State Asylum for the Insane at Morristown, New Jersey State Hospital, Morris Plains, and Morris Plains State Hospital) referred to both the former psychiatric hospital and the historic building that it occupied in Morris Plains, New Jersey. Built in 1876, the facility was built to alleviate overcrowding at the state's only other "lunatic asylum" located in Trenton, New Jersey. Originally built to accommodate 350 people, the facility, having been expanded several times, reached a high of over 7700 patients resulting in unprecedented overcrowding conditions. In 2008, the facility was ordered to be closed as a result of deteriorating conditions and overcrowding. A new facility was built on the large Greystone campus nearby and bears the same name as the aging facility. Despite considerable public opposition and media attention, demolition of the main Kirkbride building began in April 2015 and was completed by October 2015.

As of the 2020 United States census, the borough's population was 6,153, an increase of 621 (+11.2%) from the 2010 census count of 5,532, which in turn reflected an increase of 296 (+5.7%) from the 5,236 counted in the 2000 census.Morris Plains was incorporated as a borough by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on March 15, 1926, from portions of Hanover Township, based on the results of a referendum held on April 15, 1926. Morris Plains Station is a NJ Transit station in Morris Plains, in Morris County, New Jersey, United States, along the Morristown Line at Route 202 (Speedwell Ave/Littleton Rd) in downtown Morris Plains. It is a local station. The former Lackawanna station was built in 1915 and has a brick station house. It was designed by architect Frank J. Nies who built other stations for the Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad. Unlike most of his stations which tended to resemble massive cathedrals, Morris Plains station was built as a simple one-story structure, which also contains a unique Spanish tile roof. An old train station just to the north now serves as The Morris Plains Model Railroad Club. The station was added to the National Register of Historic Places on June 22, 1984, along with over 100 other stations within the state as part of the Operating Passenger Railroad Stations Thematic Resource. Now trains passing through Morris Plains go to NY Penn Station, Hackettstown Station, Dover Station and Hoboken Terminal. The train station is served by the M&E (Morris and Essex Line) Trains

Mount Tabor is an unincorporated community that was founded as a Methodist camp meeting in what is now Parsippany-Troy Hills, in Morris County, New Jersey, United States.

The Morris Plains Schools is a comprehensive community public school district that educates students from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade from Morris Plains, in Morris County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2018–19 school year, the district, comprising two schools, had an enrollment of 578 students and 61.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 9.5:1.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "I", the second-highest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. Mount Tabor is a New Jersey Transit station in Denville, New Jersey along the Morristown Line just west of the small community of Mount Tabor in Parsippany-Troy Hills, New Jersey. The station consists of one side platform and 48 parking spaces for commuters. One of these parking spaces is handicapped-accessible.

Estling Lake is a lake in Denville Township, New Jersey with a small private summer community of approximately 60 houses and is owned by the Estling Lake Corporation. The lake is fed by Den Brook and drains over a dam into Indian Lake. New Jersey Transit's Montclair-Boonton Line runs along the north shore of the lake. The lake's residents participate in a variety of sporting events with other nearby lakes such as Parsippany, White Meadow, Rainbow, Arrowhead, Mountain, Indian, Intervalve, Telemark, Rock Ridge, Lake Valhalla, and Cedar known as the "Hub Lakes." An ice house existed on the lake until it was destroyed in the early twentieth century.

The Morris County School of Technology (MCVTS or MCST) is a vocational magnet public high school located in Denville Township, in Morris County, New Jersey, United States, operating as part of the Morris County Vocational School District. This school prepares high school students for future careers, through its academy programs, each focusing on a particular trade as well as an advanced college preparatory program. Students apply to one of the 13 different academies in a process that starts the 8th grade year of local students. The highly competitive process begins with a general admissions test and is followed by group interviews on an academy basis. The school has an overall acceptance rate of 30%.As of the 2020–21 school year, the school had an enrollment of 787 students and 72.5 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 10.9:1.
