Morris County Vocational School District

The Morris County School of Technology (MCVTS or MCST) is a vocational magnet public high school located in Denville Township, in Morris County, New Jersey, United States, operating as part of the Morris County Vocational School District. This school prepares high school students for future careers, through its academy programs, each focusing on a particular trade as well as an advanced college preparatory program. Students apply to one of the 13 different academies in a process that starts the 8th grade year of local students. The highly competitive process begins with a general admissions test and is followed by group interviews on an academy basis. The school has an overall acceptance rate of 30%.As of the 2020–21 school year, the school had an enrollment of 787 students and 72.5 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 10.9:1. There were 24 students (3.0% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 7 (0.9% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.The district and its schools are accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools.

Mount Tabor is a New Jersey Transit station in Denville, New Jersey along the Morristown Line just west of the small community of Mount Tabor in Parsippany-Troy Hills, New Jersey. The station consists of one side platform and 48 parking spaces for commuters. One of these parking spaces is handicapped-accessible.

Denville is a large NJ Transit station in Denville. Located on Estling Road, the three-platform station serves both the Morristown Line and the Montclair-Boonton Line, with service to Hoboken or to New York City via Midtown Direct. The Morristown Line station is two low-level platforms located on a curve, with shelters and a mini-high platform while the Montclair-Boonton Line station is a single platform next to the closed Denville Tower. Denville Tower was constructed as an interlocking tower for the junction between the Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad's Boonton Branch and Main Line. The station is the end of a short electrification stretch on the Montclair-Boonton Line and the second-to-last station seeing electrified service on the Morristown Line. After the fork, Morristown Line trains serve Mount Tabor station and Montclair-Boonton Line trains serve the Mountain Lakes station.

Denville Township is a township in Morris County, New Jersey, located 35 miles (56 km) west of Manhattan. As of the 2010 United States Census, the township's population was 16,635, reflecting an increase of 811 (+5.1%) from the 15,824 counted in the 2000 Census, which had in turn increased by 2,012 (+14.6%) from the 13,812 counted in the 1990 Census.Well known as the "Hub of Morris County" for its strategic location along major transportation routes at the center of the county. Denville is notably home to an "eclectic downtown" in addition to four membership lake communities developed a century ago as summer colonies.NJ Transit rail service is available at the Denville station, a large three-platform station serving both the Morristown and the Montclair-Boonton train lines, with service to Hoboken Terminal or to Penn Station in Midtown Manhattan via Midtown Direct. It is part of the New York City metropolitan area. Denville was formed as a township by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on April 14, 1913, from portions of Rockaway Township. In 1988, as part of the town's 75th anniversary celebration, a time capsule was buried that contained artifacts from that era.

Indian Lake is a reservoir and unincorporated community situated 509 feet (155 m) above sea level in Denville Township, New Jersey. Snake Hill rises 780 feet (238 m) to its west and Chestnut Hill rises 640 feet (195 m) to its east.

Estling Lake is a lake in Denville Township, New Jersey with a small private summer community of approximately 60 houses and is owned by the Estling Lake Corporation. The lake is fed by Den Brook and drains over a dam into Indian Lake. New Jersey Transit's Montclair-Boonton Line runs along the north shore of the lake. The lake's residents participate in a variety of sporting events with other nearby lakes such as Parsippany, White Meadow, Rainbow, Arrowhead, Mountain, Indian, Intervalve, Telemark, Rock Ridge, Lake Valhalla, and Cedar known as the "Hub Lakes." An ice house existed on the lake until it was destroyed in the early twentieth century.

Craftsman Farms is a historic house located in Parsippany-Troy Hills, Morris County, New Jersey, United States. It was founded by noted early 20th century designer Gustav Stickley as a farm and school for the Arts and Crafts movement. It remained in use until 1915 when it was sold to a family and became a private house. When threatened by development in 1989, the home was purchased by the Township of Parsippany-Troy Hills through eminent domain. The property is operated as a museum, also known as the Stickley Museum at Craftsman Farms, and is operated by the Craftsman Farms Foundation.

Rainbow Lake is a residential lake, natural, spring-fed body of water, a private community and unincorporated area within Parsippany-Troy Hills, New Jersey, United States. The lake is used for many recreational activities, including: swimming, fishing, ice skating, and non-motor boating. The Lake has a sand beach and a floating dock, and which are used by most members of the lake, especially throughout the summer months. The Rainbow Lake Community Club (RLCC) runs a clubhouse available to all members of the lake, which provides a volleyball court, tennis court, and a playground, organizes many community activities, and hosts a bar for the adults every weekend. Rainbow Lake is a member of an athletic organization called Hub Lakes, which includes other local communities: Lake Valhalla, Lake Arrowhead, Estling Lake, Indian Lake, Lake Intervale, Mountain Lakes, Lake Parsippany, Cedar Lake, Rock Ridge, Lake Telemark, and White Meadow Lake. Hub Lakes provides competition between the lakes in bowling, diving, golf, horseshoes, roller hockey, softball, swimming, table tennis, tennis, track & field, and volleyball.

The Mountain Lakes Schools is a comprehensive community public school district that serves students in kindergarten through twelfth grade from Mountain Lakes, in Morris County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2019–20 school year, the district, comprised of four schools, had an enrollment of 1,379 students and 155.5 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 8.9:1.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "J", the highest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.Students from Boonton Township attend the district's high school as part of a sending/receiving relationship.

Rainbow Lakes is a census-designated place (CDP) in Parsippany-Troy Hills Township, Morris County, New Jersey, United States. It is in the western part of the township and consists of housing built around Rainbow Lake (or "Rainbow Lakes" on federal maps), plus a zone of commercial buildings to the east of the lakes. It is bordered to the east by Parsippany proper, to the north by the borough of Mountain Lakes, and to the west by Denville Township. The northern edge of the CDP is formed by U.S. Route 46 and the NJ Transit Montclair-Boonton Line, and Interstate 80 forms the southern edge. It is 21 miles (34 km) northwest of Newark and 30 miles (48 km) west of the George Washington Bridge over the Hudson River. Rainbow Lakes was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census.

Morris Catholic High School is a four-year comprehensive Roman Catholic regional high school located in Denville Township, in Morris County, New Jersey, United States. It was founded in 1957 and is part of the Diocese of Paterson. Morris Catholic High School has been recognized by the National Blue Ribbon Schools Program, the highest award an American school can receive.As of the 2017–18 school year, the school had an enrollment of 422 students and 34.5 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 12.2:1. The school's student body was 80.3% (339) White, 8.3% (35) Asian, 6.6% (28) Hispanic and 4.5% (19) Black.The school has been accredited by AdvancED.
